This is Fami, the new bass player and it was her first live concert with Lovebites and she is the youngest with now 22 years. When Lovebites were on tour in Germany I was standing about 3 meters(10 feet )away from her and every time I saw her she had this big smile on her face. Btw this song was played live in Germany . No matter where Lovebites appear, try to get there, I'll definitely do it again
LOVEBITES - When Destinies Align lyrics & credits: It is not just some coincidence It is nothing like reality It is something very precious that not everyone can get It is like a dream, a turn of fate It is what the each of us can bring It’s a chemical reaction, only possible by these pieces Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on It is failure that has brought us here It is made of our blood and tears It is something very strong that keeps us moving on and on It is love, ambition, destiny It is why we’ve been through everything It is what becomes the reason, shining bright into tomorrow Why must someone get in our way?We won’t let them We can go cause we believe Why must someone put out the light deep inside our hearts Can you see?We can create a miracle Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on SOLOS: midori / miyako / midori / miyako / twin-solo Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Open your eyes, we’ll make a new future All of our hopes are in these hands Like a bird flying into a world we don’t know We will always be together Carry on, carry on This is us, carry on ----- lyrics: asami music: miyako arrangement: miyako & LOVEBITES (miho, haruna, midori, miyako, asami) album: Electric Pentagram 01/29/2020 ---
Japanese people are not quiet; they are just very good at sensing the mood of the place and what the other people want, and they do not make noise selfishly. For example, when they want the audience to listen quietly to a ballad, they don't make a single sound, but when the music is groovy, the whole audience gets very excited. In fact, there are many foreign musicians who are addicted to the pleasantness of this Japanese audience behavior.
Love the dual harmonies in this guitar solos. Such an epic performance, Asami's dress almost stole the show and smacked her in the face 13:57 💀👗 If anyone is interested in this performance, you can still purchase the "On Demand" version at JPU records, Both KAHG 1 & 2 can be purchased.
Japanese and Asian cultures in general are very respectful of other people's space and doing the right thing in regards to that. They absolutely do mosh and have circle pits for some bands, but these women have never encouraged that, in fact I seem to recall they might have discouraged it in the past as I think they would be unhappy if anyone was injured while at their shows.
3:30 This is 2023 ("Knockin' At Heaven's Gate"), exactly March 11th, 2023! The first LOVEBITES performance with audience after almost 2 years, no Covid-19 restrictions, but also Fami's first one after joining 5 months earlier. The video is probably ripped from the DVD (see bottom left).
Would that explain the somewhat limited sound to some of these newest Live recordings (compared to the older concerts)? That the video is not released officially, but ripped? I found myself somewhat bothered by the sound quality on several songs on "Knockin'" concert, just as most of "The Thin Line..." concert that has surfaced so far. It would be borderline incredible if the band approved a release of their new performances that did not sound pristine!
@@bigg2988 If the sound is worse, it could mean, that it's not from the DVD/Blu-ray, but from the live stream. That would explain it. They have released 4 official live videos eah for both "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" and "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II" (same for "Memorial For The Warrior Souls"). The other songs are probably from the live stream or the released live album on TH-cam. With "The Thin Line..." concert you probably mean the upcoming 2025 live album "N*" (if the pattern matches) from TGT "Tokyo Garden Theater" September 1st, 2024.
@rainerzufall42 On the last point, I probably do. :) That was the Tokyo concert for "The Thin Line Between Love and Hate" tour, right? I know that concert is not yet out officially - and that the footage that surfaced is not of satisfactory quality, sound-wise, to recommend to anyone. Let's wait!
@@bigg2988 Indeed. It's not out, and there was (this time) no livestream. But it was the only bigger concert in Japan, and IIRC it had 7000 to 8000 people in the audience (although there was this typhoon). As there's be another Zepp DiverCity concert soon, that may be the next live album. Who knows? We will see!
You hit the nail on the head when you were musing about the crowd energy, and as such you won’t see a live that reflects what we’re used to seeing as a western audience. There is a cultural difference emphasis on respecting the performer which counter intuitively to what WE are used to, is a larger sign of respect than going batshit crazy 😂
I was going to comment in that spirit, so you saved me some typing. People really come to listen to the music there, and be moved by it if it so happens, so they basically react to the band, but don't stir up chaos.
Did you see the Miyako twirl? (at about 2 mins of the video you were watching). On one of their recent DVDs there are alternative edits of 3 or 4 songs where the edit stays with one band member for the whole song. I wish they did more like that, as like you said it's a whole different experience. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
Thanks Michael for this reaction , they are better live I think , that one there shows why, you can always tell the difference with Miho and Fami, Miho always plays that blue bass with all the circles and switches , where Fami plays a 5 stringed bass, plus Fami is a lot taller, and is always smiling lol, cheers bro, thanks for the reaction as always, Tim from Australia 🦘, do your self a favour Michael, when you have time check out a Filipino family band called " Mission Souls" the kids ages are 11 to 15 plus mom and dad, they are a cover band , they have heaps of songs out , listen to the song they covered by "Journey" or "Muse" they are so good for their ages , cheers bro
I guess that's what you call "total art", every aspect of the spectacle! Probably much of it comes naturally in the process of rehearsing, but is also defined by the space they have available, which usually was not much during this last tour, so the ladies had to take care not to step on each other's toes. Literally. Much as I admire the possibility to be close to my musical idols, I think LOVEBITES have way outgrown small venues.

I respect that. I'm hoping you didn't take what I said as disrespectful because it wasn't
I believe Fami is 20 years old at this show. She turned 21 3 months later, She is very talented for her age and very high on life.
God these 2 Ladies on guitar are just so in sync .. it’s insane to be that tight 😮🔥🔥

The nice thing about the JPU VoD versions is that they have (subtitled) commentary tracks by the ladies. Worth the price of admission alone.
I got mesmerized watching this performance. So used to the MV, but live as they always do its amazing to watch them pull this off. Incredible! 🤘🐺🤘
I agree. And I must have rewatched this at least a dozen times already

That's understandable. I have been hurt a few times in some pits in the past. One even landed me in the hospital
This song is about the trials and tribulations of the band and Asami frequently introduces this track during a LIVE performance as "this is us !"
Fami is younger than Miho and Fami is almost always smiling!🤘🎸
It's a sign of respect for the music, not to disturb the performance... R E S P E C T (A. Franklin)

I think you are right - Japanese people do seem to be reserved. They are also respectful. They want to hear every note.
I can understand that. It's the same way when I've been to a few classical performances

Moshing and crowd surfing are prohibited in many indoor live music venues in Japan.

I have seen that spin when I searched for it. Reminds me of that spin in the "Edge Of The World" inofficial live video from 2020.

It is rare now days that a band can be just as good live if not better. And these ladies have such amazing stage presence
That "Asami split" after the solos is far more dramatic in the 2021 Tokyo live performance th-cam.com/video/e48OwGcT3Bo/w-d-xo.html

the long hours of rehearsals with instruments are not enough for these women, for each song they also rehearse the movements on stage ,
