@@mmcpa Absolutely fair. I think soundwise that it does compare favorably to live, where 99% of their songs I prefer the live version to the studio version (setting aside the visuals of the performance).

Asami defined it this way: Judgement Day is also about evaluation of new lineup, new album, LOVEBITES 2.0 overall. This video appeared on Xmas 2022, two years ago. The album followed on February 22th, 2023. The first live shows on the weekend March 11th/12th, 2023 (KAHG, KAHG2).
The most reliable band in the field of Metal music. Since 2016 - an uninterrupted chain of brilliants songs and scintillating live performances. Being in love with this band is not the worst state to be in.
Awesome! Indeed this was the first song they released after a 2 year hiatus, and also the first with Fami! As you can imagine the fans went absolutely crazy for it, and the whole album did really well ranking #1 in several Itunes metal charts around the world!! Lovebites is a smaller band so it was an unexpected success! As to the theme of Judgement Day, the ladies felt that after such a long hiatus, they needed to pass the "judgement" of the fans by showing they were still just as metal as ever, and the release of this song took care of that real fast!! 🤘🐺🔥 Cheers Dave!

We put that feeling into it, "We will be judged by this album.'' We want everyone to judge us by saying, "What we've done up until now was correct'' and "We're playing real metal.'' We said to ourselves, "We have to decide for ourselves that what we're doing is the right thing.'' The reason why we named the album "Judgement Day" was because we stopped our activities once, but we wanted to let our fans judge whether they would accept us after we restarted.

Yes, the improvement of your sound is notable - and thankfully you did not lose the sound of that music video! :) The video is a nice allegory on running from your fears vs. standing up to them, and Asami turns into the angel of judgement along the way! The video was one of the first introductions to Fami, the "firsts" that include the documentary mentioned by you, this song (there is also a nice extract from a Japanese music program with English subtitles where LOVEBITES introduce themselves and play "Judgement Day" in studio, a warm mix that I really like there!), also "Hammer of Wrath", the first Live song they played coming out of the hiatus, with Fami tasting the Live with the band for the first time - you saw that one. And then there is "Bravehearted" Live in studio, the first recorded thing with Fami after announcing her as the new bassist. One of their best early songs that has the distinction of being written by Haruna - and upon listening one wishes she would not be so shy and submit MORE of them! Plus the ladies all look classy, and the interaction among them is immediately heart-warming: they seem incredulous and happy at the same time of how GREAT the new girl is, and there's electric reaction happening in the air. I would listen to the new version of "Bravehearted" along with the music video for "Nameless Warrior", the last song they recorded with Miho, when it was known she'd be leaving. (An uncertain time for the girls and their fans alike!) Between them, the two mark the provisional end, revisiting key pages in the band's career theretofore, and the celebration of a new beginning. Btw, you may have noticed LOVEBITES now have played "Nameless Warrior" Live, and the song sounds more hopeful than ever before, although it was always intended to give hope more than anything.
In the intro and outro, the guitar and bass playing is reversed from a typical band. In normal playing, the guitar plays arpeggios. That's a bit tricky, but I think it makes for a fascinating song.
