Yep - the ukulele is the gateway guitar:) I have a 20c Concert uke from Cordoba.....got it about 6 years ago...so comfortable in my hands to play and sounds great. People say Kala, Kala, Kala! but I love my little Cordoba
Great video. I just purchased my GK Studio 06/28/2014 with Humicase and I love it so much. I also have the Iberia series Cadete. I use to own both the C5 and 20TM-CE uke but had to sell them last summer due to financial hardships. But this year I'm back on track with my beautiful GK Studio. Love you Cordoba!
THANKS!!! I really appreciate this kind of review/demo! I'd like to hear some of the 'plugged in' versions of those instruments with the 'onboard electronics' to get a feel for their capabilities.
I wanted a small, comfortable, and affordable guitar to take camping. I opted for a cordoba mini II. I’ve never owned a nylon string guitar but that little guitar grew on my real quick. Looking into full size models now.
This is my bedside guitar. I never put it in the case. It's always there to play what I hear in my mind. instantly. The GK PRO Nrgra l love it. It's sooo , , , comfortable to play. You can play for hours without feeling stressed. Great for practice because of it's comfort. You must have the saddle adjusted for your style of play. Good companies like Sweetwater will do that for you. I got my for a small fee.
I spent 5k on a used 30 yr old luthier build instead of 4K on a new cordoba luthier series. Not sure if I made the right call because these sound good. No French polish was one factor. I also think the specialty luthier build is likely to hold up better.
I've loved ever one of these Cordoba's I've bought between the Gypsy Kings models (3 of those I have including one negra model) and a 4th one (my favorite) in the fusion model all cutaways but that mother effing 12thfret rise on that neck that ALWAY FRIGGIN shows up PISSES ME OFF!!!! My strings buzz right around the 12th fret and it happened to me on the first one I bought (which BTW, the tension rod came right through the back of the neck when I was tightening it!!!!!!) BUT, after I looked down the neck to see why all of a sudden I developed string buzz around the 12th fret on all the strings, I noticed the frets were high right around there, almost like the fretboard wasn't sanded or planed straight all the way. Ok, so when I went to buy another one and another $600 plus, I looked it up and down and sideways and picked it out 5 other available ones (which HAD that high spot BTW) and felt good about it. SIX MONTHS LATER GUESS WHAT SHOWS UP?! YEP, a rise right at that 12th fret and I couldn't believe it. Loved everything else about both those guitars so I kept them and ended buying 2 more (had a different feel which I liked) and the same thing happened to them too. So now I have 4 Cordobas all with that same exact problem!
I own several Cordoba guitars and have never had any of these problems. You may want to find a decent luthier to check out your guitars. Also, where are you buying these guitars??? Reputable music business? They may be buying rejects that either where not fixed or properly destroyed....
That's an interesting review, could you pls demo on Espana series as well, thanks😊 Can these instruments be bought online? I am looking for a cut away with fingerstyle Guitar not particularly a classical style. What's your recommendation? Thanks
marketing gobbledygook is what it is. However, Sweetwater's sales people are more knowledgable and helpful than the average sales droid at the other biggies.
Latin Lover we have cordoba's at my school and the only problem that we had was a student accidentally stepped on one and it cracked the top, never once has a bridge came off. we take care of the guitars even though they still get heavily abused.
Sure. I've had/have six of them now. Guess what? Zero maintenance problems. Change strings once in awhile and rarely adjust the truss. No lifting bridges on any of them in the range from 500 to 2000 plus dollars.
If people are buying from amazon and leaving bad reviews, I would have to question how was the guitar stored? Do they think amazon is storing guitars in a properly humidified warehouse and with proper temperature? Look on line for complaints from amazon warehouse workers about the heat in the summer and the cold in the winter. 🤣😂🤣
You need to buy a C10 to get an ebony fretboard, which is a superior fretboard material. The C7s and C9s are not that cheap, but come with the softer rosewood fretboard, which looks awful if you get the light colour rosewood. For the price you pay for the C9, and compared to Almansas, Alhambras and even Yamahas, the C7s and C9s should also have ebony fretboards. If you use an ebony fretboard and build the neck properly, you won't need a truss road. None of my classical guitars have truss roads and all have ebony fretboards. Never had an issue. I find these Cordobas made in China quite overpriced. Even the Cordoba guy said that their high end guitars do not have truss roads, simply because they are better built with better materials. Thanks for the video.
Does it really matter these days? A Chinese CNC machine is just as adept as an American CNC machine. The only real difference is the setup and possibly the saddles or tuning machines--all easily switched out. I have a GK Studio and it's among the best sounding of flamenco guitars I have had or have--even $2000 plus dollar flamenco guitars. Great value and I haven't had to change anything besides the strings and adjust the truss once every year or so. It's been rock solid now for about five years.
Agreed,I recently bought a Washburn all solid made in China and it's the most beautiful looking/sounding/playing guitar I ever layed my hands on. I mean I think it's funny that people like to picture some Chinese guy with a cig dangling from his mouth making these guitars when in reality they are just hourly workers putting them together no different than an American hourly worker is going to put them together - It's just people with a boss doing their job,and IMO Asians tend to put more care in their work!
Paper money and toilet paper and gunpowder are also Chinese inventions. Don't use these. Don't take any standardized examinations too. They were invented and pioneered by the Chinese in their imperial examination system. In fact, don't ever use restaurant menus or eat pasta/noodles- they too are Chinese inventions.
Damn, did NOT expect Mitch to play nylon like that.
It’s great to see a rep who knows the product.
Very nice playing, Mitch! Glad to see the Cordoba line at Sweetwater

Very informative in assisting my understanding of Cordoba guitars such as different models and specifications. Thanks guys.

This is a great review and interview to listen and watch.
Mitch, your a classical style guitarist..awesome playing!
One cool thing about classical music is that you can use many famous songs to demo products without getting any copyright claims.
THANKS!!! I really appreciate this kind of review/demo! I'd like to hear some of the 'plugged in' versions of those instruments with the 'onboard electronics' to get a feel for their capabilities.
Mitch, you are a very good guitarist. You can play it all!
Own a C-10 (awesome sound and quality) and GK Pro. I've owned several and never owned a bad one. Just great value.
Nice demo and good information from the Cordoba representative. They sound great to me and Mitch sounds exceptional. Thanks!
MItch, did not know you played classical!! Nice work!!
Nicely done, Mitch. I have the tab for that piece. I'm now inspired to take the time to learn it.
Mike Newingham what song is that? Very Beautiful

GREAT INTERVIEW! I have a C5 and love it. Now I know I need a C10... looking forward to it!
Bravo! Nicely done.
I have a Paco F7. A truly amazing instrument.
Wow, Mitch is so talented!
Have s CP100 for practice and a C10 for "work". And then a bunch of other stuff. The Ukeleles are very nice.
Great presentation. Many thanks
Super professional interview!!!
Cordoba's truss rod is the only reason I am considering one. Specifically because I want a open pore one I can strip & French Polish myself.

Difference between C9 and C10 in Cordoba guitars, please? I'm looking a guitar to play bossa nova. Which one is the best choice? Spruce or Cedar?
What is the name of the second piece in the beginning? I own a thinline C5-cet and it rocks..
it's a portion of prelude no. 1 by H. Villa lobos
Many many thanks. Great song.
Adelita (excerpt), by Tarrega, is the last piece played on this video
This is great! Very informative!
Thanks for posting!
Beautiful guitars ❤️

This is a terrible story and yet you kept on buying them?
I own several Cordoba guitars and have never had any of these problems. You may want to find a decent luthier to check out your guitars. Also, where are you buying these guitars??? Reputable music business? They may be buying rejects that either where not fixed or properly destroyed....
Maintain humidity @around 50%?
Does anybody know what the second lick is? The one he plays after Romonza
Would you say the c10 Crossover is better than the gk?
Mitch that was badass!
I have a GK love it play it all the time
ok i have to say.. the window behind the cordoba rep is weird. cordoda makes beautiful authentic flamenco guitars. got the gk studio and fcwe reissue.
Nice classical guitar chops!
Love my Cadete and C7.
I have noticed that this is how you hold your electric guitars too. Is classical guitar your background?
What's the second piece?
Mitch looks like a martial arts instructor - of classical guitar! - great interview
Great job!
That's an interesting review, could you pls demo on Espana series as well, thanks😊 Can these instruments be bought online? I am looking for a cut away with fingerstyle Guitar not particularly a classical style. What's your recommendation? Thanks
You can’t go wrong with the GK or even the F7.
Are gut strings still available?
Can anyone help to tell what is the name of the piece at "0:34"
+Godwin Ho It's an excerpt from "The Earl of Salisbury" by William Byrd. Thanks, Mitch
MECHCROSS composed by Sir Loin of beef
Whats a sales engineer..?

is cordoba a Chinese brand or Spanish??
Both.
I was hoping I'd hear "When I'm Cleaning windows" but no such luck 😣
Cordobas always sound nice, but they have very unessesary string action.
China!
Haha :)

@@slslbbn4096 Have a wonderful clueless life
Sounds terrible. Those guitars are really nasally and have no air.
These guitars are cheap Chinese crap.....just like that strap on that you use.
He says as he listens to the guitar on a cheap pair of 19 dollar computer speakers...
