    Was able to get into the Admirals Club in Tampa and Miami because I was flying First Class International. I was actually impressed. They were nice lounges and in comparison to some other lounges that I've been in, they were really quite. I'm actually going to purchase a day Pass to the Admirals Club next weekend when I head out to Vegas because my home airport doesn't have a Centurion or Priority Pass lounge.

    Personally - I've never encountered any over crowding at an Admirals Club unlike some of the other lounges I have access to. Even at American's home base DFW unlike trips through ATL with Delta. I guess there's not many peeps that want to fork over $450 for the CITI EXEC CC. 😂😂😂 Lounges are lounges. Some are better than others. Some are awesome. Some are 💩. I keep my expectations pretty reasonable = clean, relatively quiet, comfortable, and decent food is good enough for me. Admirals Club has delivered so far. Thanks for the info + video!

      That about sums it up. We really over hype a lot of things and lounges are one of them. People generally ruin things by making a mess and leaving it.. The AA card would be worth it for a family or group of people to go in on. Tho, I think they're going to change that AU rule eventually.

      Completely agree. I have the Citi AA Executive card for miles but above all lounge access. I fly in and out of DFW and LAX a lot and both have pretty good clubs. The one at JFK and SFO are decent as well. The quality of service at times is dicey; i.e., jaded and/or seemingly disgruntled workers ...but that's pretty much everywhere these days.

      Hey, I appreciate that. You should also know AA is changing the pricing on the club memberships soon. Easiest way to get in is still the card but that's also getting a refresh.

    Great info my friend! Since Delta upped their entrance qualifications so to speak I really appreciate that my Citi AA Executive card gives me access to the Admiral's Club. I've not noticed a significant difference between the quality of AA lounges vs. Delta so for me I'm sticking with AA. Also, I seem to receive better service in First Class on AA than Delta; i.e., pre-departure drinks and full meals even on some shorter flights with AA , while not always the case with Delta.

      @RJFinancial  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@RJFinancial Well, I do now…That price hike could be a deal breaker for me. Just from a rudimentary cost-benefit analysis; I question whether the “upgrades” will be worth the extra price.

    THANK YOU, for a honest review of the Admiral clubs are very much overrated. I had the Executive card and visited 3 admiral clubs, yeah I give it 3 chances and I was NOT impressed. The 3rd time, it was my final decision to get rid of the Executive card. AA and citi needs to refresh this card desperately. I am sorry, but the ability to add 10 authorized user does nothing for most people if the club sucks. It's a shame bc AA's did a great job revamping of their loyal program, but their lounges and premium credit card are shot to hell.

    • @RJFinancial
      @RJFinancial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think they'll refresh it but I don't see it improving much. The card centers around AA clubs. Anything else they add is going to upset the current fan base and I doubt it'll be enough to sway people over from other cards

    I'm too loyal to Delta, with Hawaiian and Alaska as alternatives domestically. If I put the same spend on AA credit cards, combined with actually flying, I would still come out short on reaching the first tier of status.

    Great timing and great details provided in the video. I don’t have this card, got denied when applied recently. But I have AE Platinum and AE Business Platinum. AA is my selected airline. Just for clarity, I can still buy a day pass on Admirals lounge for $60 when flying AA at any time? Any restrictions? Even if not flying first or business class?

    • @RJFinancial
      @RJFinancial  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question, you do have to be flying AA on a same day boarding pass.

      @@RJFinancial - thanks for the reply back. Yes, I fly out of O’Hare and there’s no Centurion Lounge. So if I have a same day flight ticket on AA, I was wondering could I buy a day pass for Admiral Club? Regardless if the ticket is first class, business, or economy? Sounds like I can from your respond. If so, that’s a game changer to know.

      Is there a difference of buying a day pass to enter the Admiral Club lounge in advance (online, before my flight on AA) or in person? Does buying ahead of time guarantee my entry or doesn’t matter?

    With product placement it seems like a lot of movies are scripted in part the ticket buyers and in part the advertisers though last I knew it had to be disclosed by FTC Reg.
    How long has it been since you flown RJ? I know you used to do a decent amount on the company.
    Where you allowed to expense it back?

    • @RJFinancial
      @RJFinancial  ปีที่แล้ว

      This past summer I think. South Carolina area. The company would book the ticket and hotel but you could give them your loyalty number. Everything else was expense report. Managers got corporate cards if they wanted. That was 2017-2019 run. Haven't done work travel since the pandemic.
