This is why I feel a paternity test should be routine after every birth and before a fathers name is put on the birth certificate regardless if the parents are married or not. Women out here sleeping with multiple men and lying about it. Some even collecting child support from men they know didn't father the child. Just disgusting!!!!
I feel the same. i also lost a best friend when i suggested he get a paternity test for his son. I was just being logical. It protects both parties. One can't deny while the other can't accuse one of being the father.

I Pray for Brittany's healing. I was 11 when I found out my sisters dad was not my father after church I heard my sisters grandma (her dad's mom) tell other people in the church that I wasnt his Real daughter, and that my sisters was his.. and that my mom was just some lady he was seeing.. I immediately went home in tears asking her what was going on.. I knew something wasnt right because he treated me differently then my sister& her siblings. For instance I had to ask for permission to eat something out of the fridge of my mothers home that he didnt live in, just visited. He was extremely physically and verbally abusive for yrs however every time my mom said he didnt mean any of it.. She just kept telling me to keep my distance and try not to upset him so I walked around on eggshells inside my mothers 🏡 At 12 I was the only one in my mothers home to be "accidentally poisoned" and had to go to the hospital. My mom said she didnt think he would do something like that, then my moms best friend overheard him saying that "I didnt deserve to live". She warned her not to leave me alone around him at any time.. Then when I was almost 14 he arrived at my mothers house late one evening after everyone was in bed & already asleep when He choked, punched & beat me out of my sleep BC he felt like I went to sleep with "an attitude" My mom seemed a little upset but said that what happen wasn't really him, & that he was just dealing with a lot.. after that I started sleeping with a knife under my pillow😢 I overheard him telling my mom he didnt want any of his 💰 spent on me without his permission 1st.. A few months later I started my cycle and my mom came to me and said that I needed to swallow my pride and ask him if its ok to buy the feminine hygiene items i needed. And tell him what I needed each one for..I asked her why I had to do that & she said BC he Knows the stuff isn't for her or my sister so I needed to ask.. I just couldn't so I had to make due until I could get to the clinic in school the next morning to ask for some until I could buy my own. Close friends, family & 👮 warned her that well being was in jeopardy after yrs of responding, atleast 50 times, atleast😢she just kept making excuses for him. and I didnt want my mom to get into ant trouble one day a few mins after my mother left he beat me & dragged me outside during a severe thunderstorm to force me to stand in the rain & lightning while him & his kids sat inside my moms 🏠. Im 36 & to this day my mom will not be honest about the details of my father. After I became a adult I learned Growing up my sisters dad was "seeing my mom & his wife". She didnt want to risk "losing" him & any mention of my dad upset him so she kept my biological dad away. I remember my mom telling me my real dad didn't want to take me home to his family, & that he couldn't acknowledge me BC he had a family now & other kids And that my siblings Didn't want to accept me as a sister. Sometimes the best parenting examples come from shonky parents. Some kid grow up and make the decision to break the cycle and not be like their mom or dad. I was so invested in Brittany for her level of dignity and patience, never losing her cool as her mom was next to her making snide remarks not owning up to her promiscuity.

I understand your hope but it's not going yo happen especially in the AA communities because in most of the lower income communities they look up to the guys who fathers multiple children even if he doesn't take care of them and the women tend to be very promiscuous. I guess that's in most poor areas of any race however I speak only on what I've seen. That's what most of them see as Kool hence normal. Even when the make money and so call make it. I posted this and deleted this, but after watching Ms. Webb for a while, I had to repost. I can relate to Ms. Webb’s pain but she needs to ease up. I don’t believe she’s happy about the results. Most of the time, we children have no clue what went on with our parents. We have to deal with meddling relatives who tells us what they think they know through their lenses and biases. Sometimes grownups embellish when they don’t have all the information. Sometimes they have a hand in keeping us away from our dads. What I know is I loved my imperfect father. He’s gone and I miss him. Didn’t see him every day growing up, didn’t get the car, pony, or trust fund. I’m not sure there was a whole lot of child support. But I also didn’t get abused in any way. My dad loved me and he showed as best he could. That’s enough for me.
Case #3 I really felt bad for the young lady. I really believe she didn't know. The boy's mother came out like a lamp ended up being a bully. The Judge explained to the young lady nicely. Thank you Judge.

I was like that for quite a few yrs... I was told my dad was dead. To find out he was very much alive n lived 4 houses down the same street as I did. The funny part of that is that I have 4 sisters buy him that I went to school with.

Having 3 sons my education and navigation started with them first, their friends in other young men in the community and nationwide. This is sad and on all levels embarrassing for the daughter.

I understand your hope but it's not going yo happen especially in the AA communities because in most of the lower income communities they look up to the guys who fathers multiple children even if he doesn't take care of them and the women tend to be very promiscuous. I guess that's in most poor areas of any race however I speak only on what I've seen. That's what most of them see as Kool hence normal. Even when the make money and so call make it. The mentality doesn't change. So good luck with that hope.

I posted this and deleted this, but after watching Ms. Webb for a while, I had to repost. I can relate to Ms. Webb’s pain but she needs to ease up. I don’t believe she’s happy about the results. Most of the time, we children have no clue what went on with our parents.
We have to deal with meddling relatives who tells us what they think they know through their lenses and biases. Sometimes grownups embellish when they don’t have all the information. Sometimes they have a hand in keeping us away from our dads.
What I know is I loved my imperfect father. He’s gone and I miss him. Didn’t see him every day growing up, didn’t get the car, pony, or trust fund. I’m not sure there was a whole lot of child support. But I also didn’t get abused in any way. My dad loved me and he showed as best he could. That’s enough for me.
Somehow the men always get the blame, even when these women are toeing around. 😳
Case #3 I really felt bad for the young lady. I really believe she didn't know. The boy's mother came out like a lamp ended up being a bully. The Judge explained to the young lady nicely. Thank you Judge.

I can relate. I never new my father. I did a test with a man that people said it might be, but he wasn’t. My mother told me it was her high school boyfriend. But his sister said He wasn’t. My mother is deceased so I have no clue who could be my father. It sucks. I’ve always had a hole in my heart because of this. And felt unwanted. Cause my mom always told me he didn’t want me. I’m 46 now and I don’t think I’d be able to mentally deal with trying to find him.

I'm so grateful and thankful to have created a Fatherhood Program for young men who become or thinking of being a father. Having 3 sons my education and navigation started with them first, their friends in other young men in the community and nationwide. This is sad and on all levels embarrassing for the daughter.

Get a ancestry test test urself and ppl can and will help u run the line. I had a cousin that reached out to me and she found out after her mom's death found out her sis and her were half sisters and I tracked down her father.
