After a long day of fighting inter-dimensional demons, the Doomguy himself admits that sometimes he likes to relax with a more simple and cuddly video game, like the new Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing New Horizons. Davis prefers a bit more complexity to his gaming experiences.

O E Did you play it? There is literally cutscenes with doom slayer in the classic doom guy costume and in the lore pictures he is dressed in the classic doom guy costume. There is also a picture in the hub with doom guy and daisy. It’s kinda obvious.

i think Doomguy has become a better person over the course of many years of slaughter and has begun to care about the little things in life. i mean, after all, what did that drone ever do to him to deserve the punch?
or... why waste his energy on a drone when he can go kill an Icon of Sin?
The thing in Eternal is, the drones are supplied to him by VEGA, and would be of good use to not break them, since VEGA might need them again and he's an important ally of the Slayer in Eternal. In 2016 the drones were UAC property, and let's be honest. Our boy Slayer didn't give two shits about UAC.

To be fair, Doomguy/ Doom Slayer actually *spoke* in Doom Eternal. That is a *HUGE* character development if you consider he literally never uttered a single word before in previous games.

When Nintendo announced the new horizons direct the doom Twitter responded “will Isabelle be there.”
The animal Crossing Twitter Also retweeted fanart of Isabelle and doomguy being friends. (Like doomguy teaching her to shoot the plasma rifle or BFG or the two having tea together). Both company’s and fandoms came together for the launch. And a major fanon is that doomguy had NH reserved and Isabelle had Eternal reserved

Well in terms of Animal Crossing being a worse Harvest Moon, maybe when it first came out but now Harvest Moon is awful, all the good devs for it got canned and started the Story Of Seasons series which is what Harvest Moon used to be.

i see as, we all hear a different voice for Mr Slayer because even though he has no voice, his emotions, thoughts and personality are so clear that you can easy tell what he's trying to say.

In doom, you have to focus a lot. Like Weak spots, utility management and shit. But so you have to in Animal Crossing
But you won't die in animal crossing and have to restart from check point it's more care free well aside from the crippling debt you owe which most people can get pass but me being a completionist or maybe just an idiot I cant get passed it I would constantly try paying off the debt only to have it raised higher
My favorite part of Doom Eternal was in the first mission when you get the Doom Guy toy and the actual Doom Guy plays with it for a couple seconds. So charming.

When I went to pick my copy of Doom Eternal up on release date from Argos, a store where you pay then go to the counter to wait for your product to be ready to collect.
I was the only person waiting then a lady arrived to wait for her product order.
2 games got brought out at the same time my copy of Eternal, and the lady next in the queue, Animal Crossing New Horizon. It was written in the stars, destiny.
Yes it was the release date so more likely to happen, but in a shop that sells everything, not just games, with hardly anyone in store waiting, due to the rising pandemic it was a spooky occurrence.
For it to be one customer after the other and both games to be brought out together at the same time hand in hand.
It made me smile.

I love that you guys started putting CG characters in these videos, even if it's not super cinematic quality rendering, that's hard to expect from a TH-cam video outside of Corridor Digital and other VFX based channels, it's nice to see that you guys decided to try out something new for the channel for characters that aren't feasible practically.
