Very nice trip and video. I like the attention you give to capturing the details that make us feel we were right there to see it. Nice choice of music also. I very much enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for your comment! I am glad that you enjoyed the video and commentary. I appreciate you watching and also taking the time to comment. Thank you! Cheers.
Great trip, I've never paddled the oxtongue before, always found it too close to the highway but November would be a great time to do it with it being less busy and also easier to just hike out to the road if anything happens. Thanks for sharing, and really enjoyed the smooth cinematic shots of the river, trees and forest
Hey Derek! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on my video. I appreciate it! It is not Wabakimi, but still a pretty paddle! You are correct that it is close to the highway - and in past, I have heard the highway along the river - but not this time with the winds. Algonquin felt quite empty and abandoned while I was there. It was perfect. I hope you managed to get out for a final paddle too... Standing by for your next video! Cheers, Trevor.
@@iCanoe_ I didn't get a November paddling trip in this year, last one was in Oct. Just didn't have the time. But now that I know it's that quiet this time of year I will put it in my plans for next season! A few years ago, i did a november paddle down to Fork Lake off hwy 60, it was nice and easy, basically paddled past the visitor center. As for my next videos, I have a couple short ones lined up. not much canoeing in them though 😅 🏕🏂🏔
@@DerekSOutdoors Yep... the 2025 planning season is upon us! Never been to Fork Lake, but am familiar with the area. Good luck with the trip planning! 👌👊
You sure have a good attitude! Wish mine was better….we now pull all trips after the colours are down. We tried later trips …. But found it was like a buffet with half the selection! Less heat, less light, less animals , less swimming , less foliage! 😂 Still love to be out tho….so now just do the odd day hikes instead late in the season instead. Thanks for the vid!
Thanks Kawartha. LOL... "a buffet with half the selection". Well said and so true! Glad that you are still enjoying the season on your day hikes. As always, thanks for watching and commenting! Cheers!
The otter was a treat on the way out. There was a group of them - but only one was feeling photogenic. I hope that you managed to get out for another camp after your 6 nighter in Restoule. Thanks for watching and commenting!
Your opening shots were captivating, and not just because you have good taste in trucks. 😉 Your videos are getting so popular the ads are getting ridiculously long! But I guess that's a good thing. I missed Mason in this one. Great nature shots as always, your content is inspiring. Keep up the great work my friend. Cheers.
Thank you Daryl! Glad you enjoyed the shots (and the truck lol) - but sorry to hear about the ads. Yeah... I was 50/50 on bringing Mason because the forecast was so dubious. I always prefer to have him along if I can. Thanks Daryl. I always appreciate your comments! Cheers and standing by for your pending CANOE content! :p
Great to get out for one last canoe in November. It's rained every day in Nova Scotia (pretty much) but maybe I'll get the chance for an early December paddle!
It was great! Just never long enough... Sorry to learn that inclement weather kept you from getting out. Hopefully you managed to get your wilderness fix in other ways. Good luck with that December paddle!
@@tomtommy2227 Oh wow. That is great! Cool that you ran all the rapids. There were some decent lines at Twin Falls. Temagami next? Amazing. Hope you guys have a great trip and stay warm! 👊 Thanks for watching and commenting!
Nice video. I enjoy November weather.
Yes! It was definitely a great time to be out. Thank you for watching and commenting!

An otter, nice find on the way out for sure! Looks like another fab trip, and a great site next to white water.

@iCanoe_ you could say that I did, I work outside in forestry 😂
@@CanadianSledDog 😅 so you got that covered. ✅
Nice, paddled that river just behind you on the 8th, we ran all the rapids and managed to stay dry. Leaving tmrw for one last snowy trip in Temagami.

What material is that canoe looks very versatile
My canoe is made from Kevlar. It is about 50lbs. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching and commenting.
