It's fantastic that Ukraine are developing and producing their own weapons. Now they don't need to rely on western equipment. Any 'red lines' crossed will be Ukraines decision on an internal basis...and won't effect the rest of the world. Keep it up and best of luck.

Are they not extending too much? If they need a buffer zone, it is too far from the border. If they can do this, why not go east , then turn south to flank and capture donetsk and donbas areas from behind where it is not mined.

AFAIK a lot (Himars, tanks, planes...) have not yet been delievered - it's often many years for those military contracts. And you need quite some time to get familiar with the systems too. Will Poland be a very strong power in 10 years? Definitly yes. But how strong they are today, I have no idea.

The ukr army lost 2,120 in a day. More than 360 military personnel and 29 armored vehicles in the Kursk region. The losses of the ukrs during the fighting in the Kursk region exceeded 5.5 thousand soldiers and 70 tanks. It's clear that Lukashenko doesn't want to attack Ukraine but is carrying out a balancing act between what Putin wants him to do and what he wants to do. So he is treading this careful path between sabre rattling and threats and not actually doing anything other than shuffling his forces around Belarus.
He and Putin are stretching the front lines because Ukraine doesn't have the man power to respond in kind. The threat has to be covered, they know that.

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from responsibility. If ANY media is being used for criminal activity or the content harms the citizenry then the Governments have the right to call ANY media to account and to put in place measures to stop their platforms to be used for bad reasons.

More than this, it's not just him allowing drug trafficking, human trafficking, pedopornographic and terrorist groups groups to exist on his platform, it's one thing, but the actual problem is that he refuses the authorities to access those accounts to conduct their investigation. It's not a free speech issue, it's an issue with blocking criminal investigations.

Freedom of speech comes with responsibility. If Telegram is providing a platform for illicit activities it must take action to close those activities down. If it does not then the authorities should take action to do so.
The French case against Telegram is that is alows copious illegal activity and refuses to provide logs and data to investigators of things like child trafficings. If a company chooses to host illegal activity and just 'look the other way' that makes them complicit.
The point of Telegram is to be secure. Just because it makes it harder for police to do their job, doesn't mean people shouldn't have privacy. This is the same BS reasons that governments go after VPNs or TOR. Telegram does not keep chat logs. Just because somebody abuses something, we don't ban it or arrest the CEO. What about banning cars or alcohol? They are both abused and used in crimes.
True. Durov has been arrested not because there is criminal activity in telegram, but because he refused to let the police get into the accounts of criminal organisations that were detected. That is "obstruction of justice", which is a serious crime. Basically Durov has been protecting criminals. That is a fact. They are now investigating if Durov got commissions from criminals to protect them in telegram, which seems to be the case, but that is another story.
I heard on another TH-cam that Poland is allegeldy telling Lukashenko not to do it. An attack by Poland wouldn't draw in NATO, as it is an offensive, not a defensive, act. For an analog, when the USA attacked Afghanistan and Iraq after 9/11, NATO wasn't bound to support the USA. Lukashenko is rumored not to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I have to think Poland (and possibly other Baltic states) becoming involved in the war would not be a good thing for Belarus or Russia.

Denys the issue with Telegram is they must cooperate with police if there is a lawful search warrant to investigate criminal activity. A landlord can't build 10,000 apartments and say the police can't go in. All the people living there do not have an absolute right to privacy. Similarly if there are thousands of channels on Telegram the police must be allowed to investigate criminal activity, if they have a proper warrant issued by a court.
And if they break the encryption so the French can find drug dealers, then he will have to break it so russians can be thrown in jail when they speak against the war... You need to get better police that can do their own job.
Problem is because nothing is banned, Telegram allows extremest lies and misinformation from pro Putin and Far Right influencers. They all gang up in their thousands and spread their lies. Really mean people too!

The issue with telegram is the lack of moderation which has allowed a lot of bad things to happen through the site - but it is a valuable site at the same time - it's quite difficult to moderate stuff whilst allowing the good parts (open information) to stay but I do understand why he would be arrested - stuff as bad as human trafficking and child sexual abuse happens there so the concerns are not unfounded.

What about banning cars or alcohol? They are both abused and used in crimes.
True. Durov has been arrested not because there is criminal activity in telegram, but because he refused to let the police get into the accounts of criminal organisations that were detected. That is "obstruction of justice", which is a serious crime. Basically Durov has been protecting criminals. That is a fact. They are now investigating if Durov got commissions from criminals to protect them in telegram, which seems to be the case, but that is another story.

I heard on another TH-cam that Poland is allegeldy telling Lukashenko not to do it. An attack by Poland wouldn't draw in NATO, as it is an offensive, not a defensive, act. For an analog, when the USA attacked Afghanistan and Iraq after 9/11, NATO wasn't bound to support the USA. Lukashenko is rumored not to be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but I have to think Poland (and possibly other Baltic states) becoming involved in the war would not be a good thing for Belarus or Russia.

Denys the issue with Telegram is they must cooperate with police if there is a lawful search warrant to investigate criminal activity. A landlord can't build 10,000 apartments and say the police can't go in. All the people living there do not have an absolute right to privacy. Similarly if there are thousands of channels on Telegram the police must be allowed to investigate criminal activity, if they have a proper warrant issued by a court.
And if they break the encryption so the French can find drug dealers, then he will have to break it so russians can be thrown in jail when they speak against the war...
You need to get better police that can do their own job.

The issue with telegram is the lack of moderation which has allowed a lot of bad things to happen through the site - but it is a valuable site at the same time - it's quite difficult to moderate stuff whilst allowing the good parts (open information) to stay but I do understand why he would be arrested - stuff as bad as human trafficking and child sexual abuse happens there so the concerns are not unfounded.
