He went OFF on Toad’s Turnpike. I was genuinely shocked that he gave it the prestigious honor of G tier. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Schaffrillas that angry since his Mulan (2020) review. You can hear the pure hatred and malice in his voice. It was funny but I also felt bad for the pain he had to endure playing that monstrosity.
I love the little detail that the opening number thing for Piranha Plant Slide in the MK7 ranking is, "Slide to the left," and the opening for it here is, "Slide to the right!" Delightful!
There would've been a G tier earlier if he brought up mission mode in DS. Not that Mission mode was bad; it was very fun, but holy shit there were a couple of nuclear shells in there.
I feel like that’s how he would talk about Artemis Fowl, without the intentional exaggeration and weird sarcasm, and being the only movie that he would give an 0/10. (Something I’m pretty sure I’ve said almost exactly like this statement before.)

My main takeaway is that he doesn't know the moving walkway things exist in virtually every airport in the world. But seriously, this was a great video. @@dinotaco4651 Interesting. I've mostly traveled in Europe, where they seem to be pretty universal. Although now that I think about it, I've rarely had to go through any minor airports, since I only fly when the distance is too far for other transport options within a reasonable time. Perhaps going through smaller airports is more common in America, due to the distance between the east and west coasts and relative emptiness in the middle, combined with the lack of non-car transport options. Anyway, there's a lot of possible factors influencing this, but I'll stop rambling. The main thing is that it's pretty funny that Schaff thought Airport Boost Pads were unique to Chicago when they exist all over the world.
Honestly, the best part of this video is absolutely the ending. Hearing Schaff talk about how excited he is to be able to talk about the things he loves instead of being held back to only being known as a movie reviewer really put a smile on my face. You can hear how happy and free he sounds knowing what the future holds for all of his channels. I actually felt emotional knowing how long I spent here and seeing him feel happy doing what he loves instead of feeling required to do something out of meeting the expectations of others.
Honestly, most of the people I watch on youtube could get away with a change in topic. I watched OSP red (normally the ace queen of myhology) talk about solar eclipses. I watched Sovietwomble (self-proclaimed knobjockey/video game youtuber have a long-ass meltdown over The Forest) I've watched Hbomberguy (long-format video essayist/debunker of conservative conspiracy theories) talk at length about the Roblox Oof-sound, and the guy who claims to have made it (his mom is very proud). These people, just like Shaff, have obvious types of video subjects, but sometimes it's particuluarly fun to see them try new things, kinda like a holodeck or crossover episode.

One aspect of all your ranking videos I always enjoy is the audio you use during the course transitions. It’s like getting to play a little guessing game for which course is associated with which clip before the actual name is revealed, plus some occasional YTP sentence-mixing goodness! I don’t often see any comments about it, but it really adds an element of fun to the viewing experience. Keep it up Schaff/Schaff’s editing team!

It's not even one of my personal favorites, but there's something so wholesome about seeing a full-on redemption arc for a course unfold in real time, traveling through the track and seeing everything the remaster massively improved on.
One of my favorite parts was the Ninja Hideaway segment. I was genuinely kinda shocked to see it rank SECOND. I remember playing it when it first came out on tour and thinking, “This is pretty difficult.” ON THE MOBILE GAME. Imagine what they could’ve done if it was in 8 Deluxe. Oh wait, it is and it’s PHENOMENAL. Easily one of the best tracks from the BCP.

Oh my gosh! The way that Schaff demonstrates Sweet Sweet Canyon’s lack of memorability by testing us left my jaw touching the floor. This video really lived up to the hype and I love how innovative it is for a ranking video. Instead of telling us that its bad (or good) he shows us why its bad (or good). I LOVE this.

1:43:48 I didn't expect Nintendo to actually include Athens in the city courses pack, so when I heard that it made it in I was shocked. Then I saw a gameplay of Athens Dash, and I fell in love with the course. Seeing the surprisingly accurate depiction of the Acropolis was what made me rush and acquire a copy of the game and the DLC. That's the power of Greece. Love the Ellada.
The best song in the series is 3ds rainbow road and others from this game are coconut mall, dolphin shoals, maple treeway, Waluigi pinball. While ice ice outpost is definitely great, I’d say it’s like a tier 2 under those ones and probably more that I’m forgetting
I'm a Mount Wario kinda guy. Its immaculate; it is the only music in existance that has ever made me *LAUGH.* The music made me *LAUGH.* That's how powerful it is.
I am likely biased as a German who regularly visits Berlin, but I have so much appreciation for the Mario Kart track portraying not just the German wall, but the fall of the wall by Thwomps throwing themselves down. That is so inspired, and it elevates an otherwise basic track for me. I am also grateful for the love the Singapore track is getting here, every time I hear the city tours being thrown in together as being bad, I feel the urge to hold an essay about how it's among the best new courses, so thank you for representing that. In general I agree that the booster course pass gave us some of the best tracks of an already outstanding Mario Kart, making this a sort of Mario Kart Ultimate that future series entries will have a hard time comparing to. It might have some bad tracks especially now, but you just can't compare to this lineup of bangers. A lineup of bangers is also a great way to describe your video output - I learned a lot about awesome transitions from you. Another cool thing about the course is that Nintendo ADDED a shortcut to it in a patch. When it was first added, there was a death plane that you were pretty much set to hit if you ran into the last Whomp on the wall, but they got rid of it, and now it's a mushroom shortcut.

After these 2 years with 48 more courses and 8 new characters, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the best Mario Kart game. The tracks are absolutely golden with not a lot of stinkers and A TON of amazing ones. The gameplay is fast-paced like every Mario Kart game before it, but more fun with the way better controls. The looks are IMMACULATE(not wave 1) through and through and kept getting better throughout the Booster Course Pass This is why Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best Mario Kart
I kept telling people this was my favorite Mario Kart even without Funky Kong and I think no Funky Kong was the only reason a lot of my friends ranked it lower than Wii (fair enough) but then they added him in and now I have no issues calling this my favorite!
For the GCN Yoshi’s Circuit, there was a Mario Kart DS challenge where you had to drift a ridiculous amount of times. Turned me into a drift wizard specifically on that course.

He went OFF on Toad’s Turnpike. I was genuinely shocked that he gave it the prestigious honor of G tier. I don’t think I’ve ever heard Schaffrillas that angry since his Mulan (2020) review. You can hear the pure hatred and malice in his voice. It was funny but I also felt bad for the pain he had to endure playing that monstrosity.

Although now that I think about it, I've rarely had to go through any minor airports, since I only fly when the distance is too far for other transport options within a reasonable time. Perhaps going through smaller airports is more common in America, due to the distance between the east and west coasts and relative emptiness in the middle, combined with the lack of non-car transport options. Anyway, there's a lot of possible factors influencing this, but I'll stop rambling.
The main thing is that it's pretty funny that Schaff thought Airport Boost Pads were unique to Chicago when they exist all over the world.

Honestly, the best part of this video is absolutely the ending. Hearing Schaff talk about how excited he is to be able to talk about the things he loves instead of being held back to only being known as a movie reviewer really put a smile on my face. You can hear how happy and free he sounds knowing what the future holds for all of his channels. I actually felt emotional knowing how long I spent here and seeing him feel happy doing what he loves instead of feeling required to do something out of meeting the expectations of others.

I've watched Hbomberguy (long-format video essayist/debunker of conservative conspiracy theories) talk at length about the Roblox Oof-sound, and the guy who claims to have made it (his mom is very proud).
These people, just like Shaff, have obvious types of video subjects, but sometimes it's particuluarly fun to see them try new things, kinda like a holodeck or crossover episode.

My favorite part of this video is the Sherbet Land entry, hands-down. It's not even one of my personal favorites, but there's something so wholesome about seeing a full-on redemption arc for a course unfold in real time, traveling through the track and seeing everything the remaster massively improved on.

One of my favorite parts was the Ninja Hideaway segment. I was genuinely kinda shocked to see it rank SECOND. I remember playing it when it first came out on tour and thinking, “This is pretty difficult.” ON THE MOBILE GAME. Imagine what they could’ve done if it was in 8 Deluxe. Oh wait, it is and it’s PHENOMENAL. Easily one of the best tracks from the BCP.

Oh my gosh! The way that Schaff demonstrates Sweet Sweet Canyon’s lack of memorability by testing us left my jaw touching the floor. This video really lived up to the hype and I love how innovative it is for a ranking video. Instead of telling us that its bad (or good) he shows us why its bad (or good). I LOVE this.

Then I saw a gameplay of Athens Dash, and I fell in love with the course. Seeing the surprisingly accurate depiction of the Acropolis was what made me rush and acquire a copy of the game and the DLC.

I absolutely hated this song for the longest time, but I'm finally warming up to it
I am likely biased as a German who regularly visits Berlin, but I have so much appreciation for the Mario Kart track portraying not just the German wall, but the fall of the wall by Thwomps throwing themselves down. That is so inspired, and it elevates an otherwise basic track for me.
I am also grateful for the love the Singapore track is getting here, every time I hear the city tours being thrown in together as being bad, I feel the urge to hold an essay about how it's among the best new courses, so thank you for representing that.
In general I agree that the booster course pass gave us some of the best tracks of an already outstanding Mario Kart, making this a sort of Mario Kart Ultimate that future series entries will have a hard time comparing to. It might have some bad tracks especially now, but you just can't compare to this lineup of bangers.

Another cool thing about the course is that Nintendo ADDED a shortcut to it in a patch. When it was first added, there was a death plane that you were pretty much set to hit if you ran into the last Whomp on the wall, but they got rid of it, and now it's a mushroom shortcut.

His 8 deluxe battle mode ranking is not the best but I was not expecting the original 8 battle mode ranking and I thought he hated bowser castle 2 from super mario kart the most

Toad's Turnpike also removed the gimmick of the traffic reversing direction in Mirror mode, which made it even harder to dodge than normal.
Of course, this is was in exchange for making a good Toad’s Turnpike. The N64 version was the worst

Bit late but wow Schaff is so based for his take. The music is actually godlike
After these 2 years with 48 more courses and 8 new characters, I’ve come to the conclusion that this is the best Mario Kart game. The tracks are absolutely golden with not a lot of stinkers and A TON of amazing ones. The gameplay is fast-paced like every Mario Kart game before it, but more fun with the way better controls. The looks are IMMACULATE(not wave 1) through and through and kept getting better throughout the Booster Course Pass
This is why Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the best Mario Kart
I kept telling people this was my favorite Mario Kart even without Funky Kong and I think no Funky Kong was the only reason a lot of my friends ranked it lower than Wii (fair enough) but then they added him in and now I have no issues calling this my favorite!
For the GCN Yoshi’s Circuit, there was a Mario Kart DS challenge where you had to drift a ridiculous amount of times. Turned me into a drift wizard specifically on that course.
The game showed you that snaking is the way.
