    Interesting video; didn’t know folks still retired to Illinois! I grew up in Barrington Hills; my dad hightailed it to Vegas upon retirement in the late 2000s and built a nice 4 bedroom home with in-ground pool and guest house there for half the price he would’ve paid in Illinois! He got tired of Illinois’ high taxes and cold weather!

    I think you should rename this video the top 6 best suburbs to retire for people who can afford it. I live in one of the cities you mentioned, and it isn't cheap much like the other cities on your list.

    Evanston is not 17 miles from Chicago when you consider that Rogers Park ( part of Chicago) is next to Evanston…
