Oh my goodness, Sandy Allnock! Your marker art looks so life-like! The greeting cards you made were amazingly beautiful! I almost can't believe you made them using mere ink stamped images that you colored in with alcohol markers! That's some serious coloring ability! You are UBER talented and EXTREMELY skilled! Hallmark, eat your heart out! Thank you so very much for this tutorial, Miss Sandy. It was very educational, as well as inspiring. I learned a lot of tips and tricks for improving my alcohol marker coloring technique and now, I can't wait to go color!
I love all your art videos and am so grateful for them. 😘💕 God bless you.

Your background scenes are always lovely. The good thing for a lot of us is that there are matching dies and we can try out a scene and add the sweet critters to start with until we get more comfortable. Thanks for the inspiration.

Sandy, I’m so thrilled that you decided to do a video about Alcohol Markers bleeding! I tend to put paper underneath what I’m coloring on to keep the markers from bleeding normally. I don’t see too many people doing that when I watch TH-cam videos of people I follow. I am so grateful that you took time out of your busy schedule to talk about all the various tips to help prevent / minimize / mask bleeding!!! The cards you created are amazing; your background scenes tell a story & draw me in every time!!! Such masterpieces!!! I appreciate you sharing your knowledge & creativity!!! Blessings always sweet soul!!!

Beautiful cards and great tips! I am so sad, tho. We are moving and my entire craft room is packed up and has been for the last month. Absolutely no card making for me now and probably for at least the next month. This is just adding more stress as crafting helps to calm me down. The end result will be worth it all! Hope you all enjoy Sandy’s card challenge.

Great tips! IMO, the best one is to let it rest. I’ve been doing that for years now and it really helps, not only to stem the bleeding, but to give you time to think about better color choices. I’ll “flat” the whole page (fill in everything with a base color), then go back for my secondary color choices while looking at how it will affect all the other colors on the page. By building up colors slowly and evenly across the page I almost never have problems with bleeding. Also, I use Hammermill Color Copy Digital Cover 110 lb paper for Copics. It’s not slick at all and handles the abuse of the alcohol markers beautifully. Thanks for yet another amazing video, you are so often a source of inspiration for all of us and we really appreciate it!

There’s already a Casting Shadows class…I don’t think these big shadows will end up in a crafty course due to all that needs to be understood about light and shadow…that’s why I focused on it in a drawing class.

Thanks for the info. Gorgeous cards - as always! Love the scenes! I'm curious if you've tried XPress It. I'm sure you probably have but I'm not sure why most crafters I watch don't use it. Is there a reason? I use that for the images or front of card if I'm creating a scene, and Neenah for card base, etc. I don't really get much bleeding...seems to take more layers of color. Let me know if you see this as I'm really curious!! Thanks so much for all the wonderful ideas.

Hello, Sandy! How did you design your background? Do you have stencils for your background or do you just play by ear (old sounding)? By the way, you have great information about each of your cards. I'm learning.☺️
