15 Strongest Marvel Heroes Who CAN'T Lift Mjolnir

- We all know that Mjolnir comes with a major enchantment that only allows a few select worthy people to properly wield it. So far, in the MCU, that list is relatively small, with characters like Thor, Vision, Captain America and now Jane Foster all proving they were worthy and picking up the hammer. Sure, in Vision’s case, it’s a little iffy but we’ll let it slide for now. Because I want to focus on something else in this video. I want to talk about all the fantastic, inspiring, fun heroes who simply can’t lift Mjolnir. Why is that? Well that’s what I want to discuss today!
Spider-Man has the heart of a true hero and could very well be close in being able to wield Mjolnir, but I think his guilt over all the loss he’s experienced would prevent him from picking up Thor’s favorite weapon. Iron Man is an all-time great hero and arguably Earth’s greatest protector, but come on, there was no way he was lifting Mjolnir with all his arrogance and ego right? And Doctor Strange? The Sorcerer Supreme would definitely fail in that same task for much of the same reason as Tony!

I think we need a video on what actually makes Thor worthy of moljnir. A large part of your issues with other heros being unworthy are the same personality traits Thor shares(ego, revenge, vengeance,etc).
In mcu wielding
Sacrifice. Noble intintions. A god’s blessing.

I think Spider Man is definitely Worthy because he never gives up and has a heart of gold and after that No Way Home I'd be very surprised if he doesn't lift the hammer in any upcoming Movie probably in Avengers 5!

Yeah like I'd imagine it's physically heavy but it's been heavy isn't what stops people lifting it. it's because there not worthy in terms of the enchantment.

Like shown in WandaVision, she can't "rewrite" reality that way,the main default components of the reality she rewrites still remain (like the kevlar comparison), so she won't/shouldn't be able to rewrite the spell on Mjolnir coupled with the fact that the MCU is treating their gods power levels really good right now so undoing a Skyfather's magic will be next to impossible

I think professr hulk is worthy he stoped Thor from taking nano gauntlet pain and he saved war machine aka rhody so I think he's worthy 😊

You forget Starlord might be able to lift the hammer because of his Celestial heritage. Were he ever to realize his comic book status, he might not even be interrested.
I don’t think Black Panther would be worthy since he wanted revenge on Bucky (not justice). However he did change his mind so he did have a good chance of becoming worthy.
The hammer doesn’t choose people by their strength and power. It chooses its worthy wielder bi their the trait and characteristics that define who they are.

In “Thor” Odin says “it is a fit companion for a king” and characters I’ve seen to be like a warrior and a king, and I’m sure Odin would see worthy are Thor, Captain America, Captain Marvel, the Ancient One, Black Panther, Xu Wenwu, Hela and Thanos, not all of whom tried lifting it.
I’m sure Thor, Captain America and Captain Marvel wouldn’t have died snapping their fingers like Iron Man if anything those three would have ended up like Hulk and if Captain America did it that would have made it fine for him to spend the rest of his life in the shadows with Peggy otherwise I now see Captain America as someone SHIELD wasted their experiment on.

I seriously think t’challa is the most likely to lift mjolnir because I’m pretty sure it’s decided by leadership and t’challa is a king. But I also think spider man despite not being a leader could probably lift it too

Spider man truly feel guilty for his actions and strives to help everyone no matter the cost disregarding who or what they are and so when believe he could lift it

What about superheros with machines like iran man suit or buckys vibranium arm because like in a elevater if thours hammer keep his hammer it still go up
if I'm not mistaken, Rogers was able to lift and control Mjiolnir because said weapon was only "half" to Thor, the other half being Stormbreaker.

Thor - is the present leader
Capt America - Leader os Avengers
Vision - has a potential to be a Leader
Jane Foster - Leader in Love and Thunder
Even Thanos & Hela can lift it with out a shed of being a hero, but they are leaders of thier own Groups

Once the X-Men come in, Storm in the comics could lift it. Of the Fantastic Four, Johnny definitely not, young brash and hotheaded. I think Ben is a no just because he hates what he's become. Reed, no. Too full of his own intelligence to where he ignores advice from the others. Sue, I am not sure about her just because Reed's neglect often causes her to seek comfort elsewhere.

pretty much all of the reasons are being nullified by the fact that Hela held the hammer (it didn't fall out of her hand, bringing her hand down like it did with Hulk, for example, when he caught the hammer and was thrown on the floor with it) when enchantment was already on it

I agree that the hulk is less strong than he was before but in Shang chi when Wong was asking about the rings we can see Bruce banner without hulk so I still hold out hope that the hulk is still deep down in there somewhere in banner

Remember Spider-Man is a teenager so he’s always going to make mistakes so that means that sometimes he might not be able to wield it but knowing what he did in no way home he’s pretty much always is there
As soon as I watched Spiderman on the lost and his guilt, I was wondering if that wasn't the reason since I'm pretty sure Thor felt guilt for his mothers death in Thor 2

I feel like you can't use trauma as a reason for not being able to lift Thors hammer because Thor was still bale to lift in Endgame when he was blaming himself for the deaths of half the universe.

Theres no way Tony could really weild mjolnir cos hes dead. But, if he survived the snap he made , he could have been a bit more worthy
1) Here's an interesting idea, how about Groot? He sacrificed himself, or at least everybody thought he did until he returned as a sapling. Can't think of anything he's done wrong, other than maybe be part of the Guardians, who have at times been little more than space pirates with heroic tendencies.
2) As for Hulk, I'm not sure if it is canon or not, because it was an episode of a cartoon, but once the Avengers were trying to contain Hulk when he was raging, during the fight sequence, Hulk tries to pick up Mjolnir and fails. This makes him so angry, that he tries again, with both hands, and he actually does it. He then throws it at Thor, not truly wielding it, because he's not worthy, just so damn strong he was throwing it like any other thing he would throw, like a chunk of concrete or something.
The end of the scene was a bit suss though, because they get some medicine that Banner had been using to self medicate and keep Hulk from emerging, and Black Widow jumps on his back and jams the syringe with 20 times the usual dose into his upper back/shoulder, then leaps away to safety. Hulk is bulletproof, the syringe should have crumpled like tin foil unless it was made of adamantium. Good fight sequence though.

I think every Marvel Hero could use and lift Mjolnir. I think the answer is in truth a lot more simple than everyone is thinking. They key I believe is during Avengers age of Ultron.
When everyone is trying to figure out what to do next and Vision is talking. He said something that to me really got me thinking. He said he is on the side of life Ultron isn't. He didn't want to kill Ultron. Hes unique and he is in pain but that pain will roll over the earth so so he must be destroyed every form he's built every trace of his presence on the net we have to act now and not one of us can do it without the others. Maybe I am a monster I don't think I'd know if I were one and not what you are and not what you intended so there may be no way to make you trust me but we need to go. Then he lifts Thor's Hammer.
What I started to think about is anyone can lift Thor's hammer but only in one situation. When Vision said these things he is clearly excepting who he is and expecting his own flaws. In that moment he became worthy. In that moment his acceptance as to who he is and how he came to be made his worthy to lift the hammer. If you look at every actor none of them except who they are. Tony Stark you may think he excepted who he was but that was not the case. Even at Endgame the only one that excepted who they were was Black Widow. I don't see any of the Marvel Heroes able to lift Thor's hammer till they except who they have become. In truth Falcon as the new Marvels Captain America is not worthy. His past is still in conflict with himself and he may hold the shield but in truth he does not seem as if he feels ready to be worthy of his positions.
With the movie Love and Thunder I suspect if this was done correctly Jane Foster who according to comics got cancer. Based on how this should work she would have to except her situation before being worthy to lift it. We shall see if they follow this worthy method or they change it. Interesting video.

I don't see why feeling "guilty" of something makes you unworthy. I mean, it depends on what you feel guilty of. You can feel guilty of not saving everybody, but if it's physically impossible to save everybody, it does not make you a bad person. If you feel guilty of murdering someone by pure madness, then you are not worthy. For sure, other things makes someone not guilty.

Worthy is a relative term. Instead of comparing all heroes to a unmentioned scale, the thing to do is to compare them to Thor Captain America. If Thor and Captain America are worthy, despite all their bad decisions, actions, and personality traits, then any hero who matches up to them are worthy as well.
Why doesn't anyone point out that Odin also wielded Mjolnir, and therefore must be worthy...then again, he's the one who put that enchantment on the legendary Hammer of Thor.
But what qualities does the enchantment require to determine "worthiness"? The Marvel character of Thor certainly has his faults. He's arrogant, often hedonistic, skewed towards seeking vengeance, and a bit of a buffoon.
It's clear that Asgardian ideals are somewhat...alien, despite their similarities to our own.
Even with the rings and hammer cant save you from the 6 stones
I thought T'Challa would be on this list, he would sacrafice everything to save the world and when he stabbed KillMonger, He didnt want him to die without seeing the sunset of Wakanda and he wanted to help him live so like, he shall be worthy of the powers of Thor.

No living being, unless worthy, can lift Mjolnir (hence Vision) so Spidey's webs should have let him throw the hammer about at least.

I think Iron Man has a fair shot because the one that failed to left me mirror in electron what is a far cry from Tony that’s in endgame avengers endgame I have three main factors that is Thor and Captain America world vision. I have no clue why, but in Thors movie the first one he was in his own one, he gets Dee powered but when he sacrifice his life for the greater good he can lift Thors hammer with this hammer because he was sacrificing. The same thing goes for Captain America in the first movie. He also makes a big sacrifice Tony’s worthy he’s giving up he loves in infinity war because in infinity war, he gives a boy. He loves a good of earth pepper. He didn’t anticipate coming home from that trip and also he gives up his life and ending for the greater good and we’re not talking about everyone else’s status we’re talking about Odens and yeah, you might say oh but he can’t do it because he couldn’t lift back then he was arrogant and selfish His overconfidence is what he loses of the loss of cobia like he was on earth.
