Nice to see a more normal feeling and looking custom map, I dislike those perfect grid maps with predefined housing areas, it feels like they lack soul. prefer more organic feeling maps, but those seem to be a minority.
Can't argue that. I like the random generated maps or custom maps made to look and act like a random gen. Feels more.. satisfying? Better? idk. Just like em' more.
@@BORN753 If you think there are no choices to be made then you haven't played those maps. Try to do the same as Kensei on any of those maps. Easier said than done.

Glad to see a map that doesn't spoonfeed you perfect resource squares. I never watch those; I re-watch the 28-29 years later campaign sometimes. I tried a couple of the other older campaigns. Quintus Crane wasn't as well-designed as the 28 years later. Leyba's Story had well-designed maps, but the harpies and mutants were so pumped that it just felt like they were the heroes rather than you. One harpy is as dangerous as 2 regular mutants, and the final mutants on the final map have 80k life. (I did finish the campaign anyway though). Maybe these have been changed in the years since I played them though. If you know of any other custom maps that actually require thought rather than just placing buildings on a pre-planned grid, please do those! Even if you have to re-play the 28-29 years later campaign! Also, I just came back to this game recently and created a couple mods that I put on the workshop and the guides section under "They are Billions Mods". I recommend trying the "Lategame Mod with Heroes" or kicking back with the "Power Trip Mod".
I love how you always manage to talk over the voice announcing the wave and then it's like "they are approaching fr............." and you are "I wish I knew where the wave is coming from"! It really gets funny after many times in the row for some reason XD Happy holidays to you!
I’ve come to realize why I like custom maps more than the 900% maps. The color scheme. It’s just more interesting to look at compared to the grey of caustic maps. But those 1800% runs are spicy enough to keep me on the edge of my seat at least

just a thought but since you spend most of the time talking to your chat if you could show the youtube viewers the chat somehow that would be really good. Most of the time it's easy to figure out what was said but sometimes it would be nice to see it

Playing a predefined layout is better when you're trying to compare your run against others. No worrying about the little things.
You are basically told what to do in predefined maps. And what is left then?

Maps like this are a lot rarer and harder to balance I think. I do like them so when I find a good one it'll show up here
I love the custom maps designed as if they were survival because I enjoy a lot the micro from the start of the run. Great video, need more of these!

I like the extra sniper thrown into the mix at the beginning. Small addition but nice variety for a start
