The surprise infected chubby wave on day 3 kept wiping me, its super weird they didnt pop up on your game. I was actually looking for playthroughs of this map to see how other people overcame that surprise wave. But doesnt look it occurs on your map
Hey kensei, I hope you read this I really love watching your videos, i just had a quick question regarding rng in tab. I was just simply wondering what your winrate is on the hardest difficulties. For example in roguelikes with manageable rng like slay the spire the best players can win almost every game on the hardest difficulty modifier if they play well. Is that the case for this game as well?
yes, absolutely. you get more units in a single cell (1 tower uses up 1 cell) and these units get +2 to range, which also indirectly boosts damage output, even in this wacky scenario of a map - the sooner the more of your units can start shooting the greater your damage output will be. the only thing left which could have been improved upon in this playthrough was fortifying the other side of the road with towers as well, and that means better and faster expansion.
@@CalebBlackhand @bloodred255 the sawmill to the left of this mill was too close, the collection areas were overlapping so the game doesn't let the sawmill go there. The mapmaker probably just missed this
And he did that a little bit with the oil, the problem arises that with the costs of those upgrades being so much, it only helps a tiny bit. Plus, as Kensei mentions, it's tedious to do. I agree with you that it does technically help, but I don't fault Kensei for simply not doing that.

I have to ask, was the mill placed in the sawmill location intentional?
As he tried to place a sawmill there and got a red marker... yes. Though I don't know WHY the game didn't want that sawmill there....

You don't have to wait for upgrades so much if you dump excess resources like oil and iron that you aren't using.
And he did that a little bit with the oil, the problem arises that with the costs of those upgrades being so much, it only helps a tiny bit.
Plus, as Kensei mentions, it's tedious to do.
I agree with you that it does technically help, but I don't fault Kensei for simply not doing that.
@@treycko1377 Maybe, like the tower-filling, they can add a mass-resource selling hotkey if they ever do an update to the game, ha-ha!
