Rappelz is a free-to-play massively multiplayer online role-playing game. The game is developed by the Korean company Gala Lab, formerly flavor. It is published in Europe and North America by Way2Bit Co. Ltd. in English, French, German, Italian, Polish and Turkish, on their Bora Island games portal.

Ey buddy, i played back then on Lydian Server and then i guess after Webzen took over Unicorn?! Guild was Eclipse in Alliance with OneSky... started short before E3, before the Asura Summoner buff of Pet Life leeching per hit was removed with E3 :sadface: lmao good times.
I'am german but played US client.
Main was Master Breeder used with 2h staff/2h Mace, bc [Energyball] spell spam ;)
Named my 1st dropd Orc, droped by a Blue Whistle (Poultry mob Horizon) lol GoergeBush good memories...
Just downloaded Rappelz 2 days ago & played a bit... what needed 6months as beginner is now lit. done in 2 days.
Reason, why i get back is bc imo games today suck, *LostArk* (steam) was made by the Developers of GalaLAP (now you know it), hence Cube Dungoen & same white poultry, panthera field mobs, etc... but no fk'ing pets. =(
Nowadays players call Mounts & Lootpets = Pets but dun know what "pets" realy are and i realy missed those =)

Thank you Rusian! Please do continue with the guide! I played the game from 2008 or 2009 and took a break until the pandemic hit and played the game again. But I stopped playing after a bit but the game got my interest again and this is going to be helpful! Thanks for your help

Hey bro, thanks for this intro movie. Played 2006-2013 on panthera server (PK server) then played some private server during the pandemic. This game always have a special place in my heart. It's very hard (impossible) to explain to anyone who have not done the same journey. Started in Epic 3.
Best epic i still found epic 4 due to the population on the server, pet system was very balanced, classes were not so balanced so everyone was pet class at that time 😅 pvp was off the hook on the panthera server.
I actually logged on to move my characters when the new owner took over recently. So my character should be intact. Highest one was 160+ mm.
Watching this movie I can say I have decided to re-download and get into it again. ☺️🙏 Thanks dude, hope to see you in game.

So i always try to sell some stuff that i dropped or that i got at the start to get the HV buff. Get's you going faster, also i use all the potions that i drop asap.
I found a little mistake: up until (including) rank 6 all the gear can't get destroyed until +12. meaning that you can still throw a fortune cube onto it -> +17 easy possible with a bit of luck.
This changes at rank 7.

A major issue I have is trying to balance the character attributes. I feel I may concentrate too much on patk and pdef overlooking other attributes e.g. evasion.

I found that following the breeder path even low tier pets let me solo starter dungeons with terrible gear and wealth would flood in "relative wealth for a beginner". Really rewarding getting carried by your pets :D
Would emphasize not doing any quests but concentrate on dungeons for speed in levelling.
You can do a quest sweep up when you are much higher level to speed through them especially for the Talent Points quest line.
This is true, I was going to work on a video about tricks on rappelz but a few things happen and I got caught up. But I will be working on that this week
Had the itch to play again and realized my character is now gone since I did not transfer, so this was a great starting point!
one question though, I plan on doing a mercenary this time around, when should I start worrying about belt pets?
or is mercenary even a good first char to have on a fresh account?

I wouldn't worry too much about it until you get above 160. Bell pets will help you a lot to be able to level faster but don't need to go too crazy about it. If you can get some Hawks tamed as u level, you should be able to get them on a belt around level 100 / 120 since that's when you may start needing them a little bit on the four belt slot.

Do you recommend just starting a new character instead of playing an old one so we can get all those extra perks?
Depends..... 170ish and bellow probably would do better if you Started a new character depending of what you have locked on inventory that can't be moved to the WH. Now a days is not too hard to get above 170 so would probably be for the best.
