Hi Rob..Great honest video. I've lived in Udon Thani for the last 7 or so years and I find in the villages particularly a home is a home, somewhere for the family to live, eat and sleep and not a statement of wealth or status symbol....very simple, inexpensive and uncomplicated ...Maybe the west should should think about their ideals and they wouldn't be in so much debt...Thank you.
I lived in an Isaan village for a few years. I can't say it was all relaxation. There were always chores, repairs and problem solving. I liked it though. I considered it good stress, country living.
Hi Rob We also have a house in Isaan when I’m back in England whatching you’re video makes me feel very homesick for my wife and Thai family.please keep the videos rolling.
Hi from Roiet Rob Typical of surroundings here altho we live in luxury compared the locals live in poverty times but there happy a home is just somewhere to keep the rain off no more no less a nice insight for anyone who has never experienced Real issan Rural family life well Done chok dee
I love the simplicity of these old houses. We stayed in my wife’s parents house in Isaan which was very similar. I loved staying their, it always felt like an adventure
Hi Peter, Yes they are certainly are. It's a very simple life in the village, but from what i can see the people are happy. Thanks for your comment. All the best. Rob
Sadly no rob ,i lived there for 3 years had lots of friends met great people thai that is kept away from europeans ,i thaught english in a village school you wouldnt think this by my typing,one thing your word is everything ,peter
Sadly rob if ever u get to come here make sure u bring rain gear,we dont have a rainy season just rain and rain as the yank said its lovely and green here buy it rains a lot ha ha ha good luck in what ever u do and mind that lady,cheers rob ,peter
You're sounds Aussie man...anyway this place looks like my home town village in Philippines. .but now I live in Sydney Australia for a long time now. .
If I could just live and retire, i'd be fine with such an environment, but at the ripe old age of 26 I work remotely from my laptop Monday thru Friday. I'd need internet and other basic amenities to keep me productive, things that rural life wouldn't provide.
Hello : Just saw this Video. Wanted to ask you. I live in Kentucky in the US and we have Mosquito's all over the states. I noticed there was no Screens on any window's or anywhere. Don't you have Mosquitos in Thailand ?????????? Thanks Terry
Third world country. Yikes! It's just too primitive for me. I don't think I could handle living in that type of environment. But more power to you if that makes you happy.
cosmic voyager Thailand definitely isn’t a third world country. Bangkok and ither big cities are more advance than most of the West. Isaan is a little more old school but the people are a lot happier than most of us in the West busting our ass to pay for a house and the latest crap
Not to be mean or anal but these houses in issann are horribly built and I would be afraid to live in one as I think the roof and walls will collapse sooner rather than later, Just horrible design and craftsmanship
Thank you for sharing. Much appreciated from us in New Zealand
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. All the best. Cheers
A man's home is his castle!Simple home,but a lot of love and stress free environment.Nice vid

i was in isan one time i can see why u are happy lovely place
We live in our modest concrete pole home on our farm near Krabi...low 20s and wife tells me north around 5c with sleet..brrr
Tu m'arraches au filet qu'ils m'ont tendu ;
oui, c'est toi mon abri.
En tes mains je remets mon esprit ;
tu me rachètes, Seigneur, Dieu de vérité
J'espère que tu es heureux.
Merci

I wish I had the skills to work remotely, I would travel a lot more. All the best

Hi Terry. Yes they have mosquito's too, they mainly use net's over the beds or a repellent that you plug into the power. Thanks for watching. Rob
Terry VicksVaprub repels bugs. Dengue etc. is a deadly problem.
Millions But only bite farangs
The simplicity of it is beautiful but it's not somewhere to live for long..
Yes i agree, It is relaxing but a bit to slow for me to live there. Thanks for you comment. All the best, Rob
I suggest you learn to move the camera slower. You were going so fast it made things seem dizzy. Good luck.
Yes still learning Carlos. All the best.
We are happy what we are.

Look a bit bad put me off live there

You're probably right but with the low incomes in Isan they probably can't do much to fix them up. All the best, cheers
Rural?? got motorcycle, satelite TV. rich ?
Yes they have Motorcycle and TV, but the area is all farm land, The closest town is 40 km away. Thanks for watching. Cheers
