After almost 24 years of growing, loving, trusting & depending on each other, I lost my soulmate and gave up on life. I just got a shot in the arm. I was not expecting this beautiful story to grab me and push me up into wanting to give life & love another try. I watched with fear, laughter & hope for both Er'meng & Su He, as they struggled through the very real issues of daily social survival & staying on the path to love. The gangsters are so true to life it was scary; the jealous woman/wife/friend, the director nailed it and as to the doctors -more hope after death of the relationship. I must say it was the actors emotional performances that started chiseling the wall of iced and has begun to melt it. KUDOS!! KUDOS!!! Love knows no bounds or gender. Looking forward to more from these two actors & directors. Thank you.

I think it was love at first sight for the artist who fell for Meng who was posing for him. After the artist knowing that Meng worked slot of jobs to pay of done of his debts, decided to help him along the way falling for him. A wonderful loving movie with a happy ending. Thnx u so much for it.

@@user-wg6tq3ku7o I'm also confused. Someone mentioned that the professor maybe had to hide their relationship. Perhaps this is a speech he's going to give at the exhibition opening because there are rumors of their relationship??? I'm going with a happily ever after ending.
@@randomthoughtsfromme according to what you said , now the ending makes sense. I think professor was preparing a speech to tell people they are not together due to rumors. It's heart breaking 😢
@@user-wg6tq3ku7o Indeed, Professor Su is rehearsing a speech and it is obvious when you see his expression that he does not believe what he is saying and especially that it weighs on him not to be able to be frank about his relationship with Meng
I think the kid wrote a note and left him. He looks sad because even after all they had been through the kid left and wasn’t able to love him back.
Er Meng, worked numerous jobs for his father’s bad bad habits, and he had to suffer. Professor Su took him in his fold and took care of him.

I'm only 12 minutes into this film and I had to stop to say how beautiful the soundtrack is in the background with the acoustic guitar. It really is moving and sets the tone for the theme.

I think that last few sentences was a speech he may have been preparing for his exhibition. Then when he looked in the mirror and stopped, he may have been thinking, " Or should l tell the truth that l am in love with him." I think he will say he loves him! That's my take on it anyway. 😊😉♥️♥️

I'm glad that I found this movie and it's shot in my City. I hope there will be more BL theme film production again in near future in here. So, I can see their shooting process 😍
This film was made before 2020. I remember watching it. Especially the dancer in the club scenes. Does anyone know the actors name? Yeah, mainland China cracked down on LGBTQ films especially, in 2016, but other stuff as well.

Very moving loveing and promising life story. How others abuses young peaple and ruin the trust of them.fear of not going out beacouse of debt. But it is nice to know there are peaple how can help with understanding. It is realy good to feel safe specially in young age. I have watched it many times feel sad fear and love all together. Tired, need patience, because poverty it awesome.
Why does this play like a bunch of different non-cohesive scenes stuck together? I'm sure the actors did a great job and I did get the gist of the story. But the sound quality during dialogues with background noise is dodgy at best and the different scenes seemed to be cut and pasted in a very strange way with filler roll placed in between that have nothing to do with the current or next setting. When normally it's used to establish a mood, show that outside of a set that you wish to portray, or even to show the passage of time. All around great effort but definitely needed some polishing.

Nice piece of work. Visually lovely, and the music was awesome. The main character Er Meng was so cute and sweet with his puppy dog eyes. I just wanted to hug him. Er Meng and his Professor made a beautiful couple. IT was great to see them walking together in a mall. I just wish they had had more conversations and I'd seen more of their intimate interactions. In other words, I wanted it to be much longer! 😉

I love this film, in spite of the violence it is so gentle and heart warming! I think the ending tells us that they have to hide their relationship due to society's homophobia. He is practising a speech but does not like, what he has to say. Wish I could watch the uncut version. Does anyone know where to find it? 💜🤗🇩🇰
