It’s true. Almost all gay films from China are always have sad ending. It’s as if they have a fear that happy endings will encourage more people to be gay LOL Still it’s a blessing that more gay and BL films are being made. 又一场同志悲劇故事 多谢分享🙏

I guess Nan got AIDS from that woman who forced him to drink, then he moved to that city with his friend for health issues while Quiao was thinking that they were actually dating.
Nan tried to hide the truth about his illness that's why the last time they met when he was holding a diagnosing results, he just put it behind, while Quiao thought they were probably expecting their first child ...
I mean this my analysis...

From reading the comments I see that everyone wants a happy ending. Unfortunately what I just watched is the truth. Not every lovers stay together and not every friendship last forever. The reason we watch a movie is to make us forget a bit about reality not to reminds us. That’s why I always vote for happy endings.

This was so sad, and I cried because one boy couldn't confront his feelings and emotions. He missed out on a great friendship, and lost out in the end. They both suffered and lost out in the end. Life is to short to hide with in your self.
Very true...watching BL series or for any series for that matter with a sad ending often gives us an emotional stress and the impact really ruin my mood.
I watched my fav series because I wanted to feel fulfilled and happy regardless of how each every episodes progresses being shown as it goes...from the start with a happy beginning, and in the middle mets all kinds of problems, fighting, me against the world, jealously, betrayal, the break up etc, etc, etc... with all these emotions building up and affected my moods as I watched I really don't mind because these in enables me to understand the different emotions being felt and develop my sense of imagination as the story goes...and still I want a happy ending because warms my heart and and made me smile. And the Feeling is Good!❤️😘 And you made my day!😊🤗😍

Yanhe Zhang, thank you. It's a truly sad love story. Nan wanted to have Qiao and it seems that Nan was drowning in his own sorrows searching for love in what we consider the not healthy behaviors. Sad ending.

I watched this some years ago but I don't remember the story. Just now I watch something from the same director with a similar title, 'Find you in the crowd', and like this, it has a sad ending, then I found he'd made a second part which has been attached to the first part to make a single video, but unfortunately, the story was confusing and disjointed and it didn't end just sadly, it did so tragically. Heaven knows why, but by the time Part 2 was made, he was living in Los Angeles, yet that was still the result.
Subtitle are so small. I can't read it clearly. It hurts my eyes.
