*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today, 1 receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas, CA, and travel a lot. Twisting mathew is the linch pin of their entire argument. When theres a massive avalanche of scriptures in the new testament disproving their ideals. In retort they bring the validity of Paul into questioning with wild theories of the new testament being messed with, while at the same time saying the old testament is infallible under the same scrutiny they apply to the new testament to hold their position. Its sad.

    • @christinab457
      @christinab457 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

Exactly. If you don't accept the writings of the apostle Paul, you kind of have to throw out most of the New Testament. Luke affirms Paul I'm Acts. You'd have to discard Acts and Gospel of Luke, which is unfortunate since those are neatly written in the style of a historian. Peter affirms Paul (2 Peter 3:16) so probably can't trust Peter either. That calls into question the Gospel of Mark, and Matthew. John Mark was a close associate of Peter, and the gospels of Mark and Matthew share many of the same passages. So, how can they know anything about "Yeshua" if they can't trust the New Testament writers?

    • @andrewhodkinson1
      @andrewhodkinson1 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@dre5773 Shalom. Significance of "efficacy" is as the Apostles said, "A lamb slain from the foundations of the earth". For this reason, Messiah's blood is not worthy of comparison with anything else with regards to "efficacy". Typological comparison with the atonement of bulls and goats is obviously fine and good (like some Christians do when eating the Passover lamb or in eating of the bread and wine in remembrance); however, typology would never get us saying that any work of man comes anywhere near the power of the blood of the Lord of Glory who Romans and Galatians say is "the righteousness of God apart from the law".
I'll post my reply to the Prof so you can understand the position of Reformed Theology / Protestantism in this regard. His blood is VERY significant:
Shalom RLS. The view of Reformed Theology is that the Temple could only atone for the sins that God winked at (Acts 17:30), upon the sinner receiving knowledge of and acting accordingly (Lev 4,5 Num 15,16). That was it. Judaism, Eastern Orthodox and Catholicism have various nuances in this regard but are of similar opinion. In Protestantism (by and large), when talking of all sins in the context of the earthly Temple service, this has historically been believed to be in relation to sins of ignorance alone.
"The sacrifices of the Old Testament were made for the expiation of sins, but they were not able to take away the guilt of deliberate and presumptuous sins. The Day of Atonement, as it was appointed by God, was designed to cover sins of ignorance, not willful defiance. Christ’s sacrifice was required to address the full scope of human sin, including willful and deliberate transgressions." (John Owen, The Death of Death in the Death of Christ, Chapter 11)
I know this is a great assumption of “all sins” in the context of the Yom Kippur ceremony, but Owen and other Reformed Theologians don’t lightly make this interpretation. They believed that the author of Hebrews taught the limited nature of Temple atonement not just in terms of its yearly repetitive nature, but effectiveness as well. These two scriptures are compelling in this regard:
Heb 9:7 but into the second only the high priest goes, and he but once a year, and not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people.
Heb 10:26-27 For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.
      Hope this makes sense. Blessings

Paul praises the Law that shows us what sin is. You can choose to look at the Torah law as legalistic anchor or as a guide and moral compass. @AdamPlayFarms The Law in the sense of what God expects of our heart? Yeah it is good. But much was added due to the hardness of our hearts, not because it was part of the original design. The Mosaic Law is simply an expression of a greater Law of the Spirit.

I know this is not your reason for posting videos like this, but I appreciate the challenges you are proposing because it helps us to refine our theology.
I agree that animal sacrifice is not required now that we have the sacrifice of Christ. This is detailed in the book of Hebrews, and it seems to be the only commandment that has changed because of the change in priesthood. We now have a better Priesthood and a better sacrifice. However, the other commandments teach us about holiness and living in a way that pleases God. They teach us how to worship God and be separate from the world.
The commandment to offer sacrifices for sin is no longer necessary because we have a better sacrifice now. But this doesn’t remove our obligation to obey God in other areas.

I'm not a Christian. Actually the label Christian only means one thing today, hypocracy. Scripture refers to me as Yah's people. The place that Torah has in my life is that it is instructional. Yah is my authority and the focus of my life and worship. Now, Yeshua is my high priest and my King. Yah, Yeshua and Scripture all have authority over me. In this period beyond the Aaronic priesthood, I'm not sacrificing animals but I'm not eating pigs either. According to Scripture, pigs are unclean designed to be scavengers. Peter's vision referred to gentiles not pigs. I observe Sabbath because Yah set that day apart at creation not at Moses. Christians want to focus on arguments instead of authenticity and abiding in Messiah. 'Torah observers" abide in the written instead of the living and that is very obvious.

      Revelation 2:14 KJV
[14] But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
Now, if sin still exists fo we need repentance? If so what exactly is repentance and is that "work"?

Gentiles were never under the Law.
*And yet, God encourages the strangers/Gentiles of Isaiah 56 to embrace his Sabbath and partake in his covenant, and he promises them a name in his house better than sons and daughters (better than the Jews essentially). This prophecy is made in preparation for Matthew 21. This is the nation that Christ said would receive the kingdom he is taking away from the Jews who would bring forth the fruits in their due season, meaning they would keep the Old Covenant where the Jews failed to do so. It’s also why Christ quotes Isaiah 56 in Matthew 21, making it clear his house would be a house of prayer for all people, meaning he was opening the covenant up to more than the Jews.
Also, there is nothing in torah preventing a Gentile from being circumcised and observing torah accordingly. Even before the days of Moses, Jacob’s children required the men of sheckem to be circumcised if they wanted to dwell among them, this would have made them obligated to the covenant which Paul was fully aware of in Galatians 5:2-3. Remember, Paul said that the circumcised were debtors to do the whole law, and Paul was circumcised, and circumcised a half Greek Gentile Timothy in Acts 16:1-3. It’s no different than the Strangers in Ezekiel 44 who will be required to be circumcised in heart and in flesh, the two types of torah circumcision, before God will allow them to enter the future temple of the restored Davidic kingdom, suggesting the restriction placed on circumcission of Gentiles in Acts 15 was never intended to be a perminant provision, else the pollution God is complaining about in Ezekiel 44 will never be resolved.
You continue: How could any Gentile today, milennia after the Old Covenant passed away, want to be put under the condemnation of the Law.
*That’s a problem if you believe God is the single most merciless being in all the universe, but if God lives up to his promises in the mercy clause of the law in Exodus 20:6 and elsewhere, then those who make a stink about the condemnation of the law are just making a stink that has no real punch. In fact, speaking contrary to the law is the greater danger, because God in Isaiah 8:20 says there is no light in people who do that. Do you know why Christ was the light of the world in the gospels, because he taught according to the law and testimony in fulfillment of Isaiah 8:20, intent on binding up the testimony and sealing the law among God’s disciples to fulfill Isaiah 8:16. Now, Isaiah 8:16 is an idea coming from Deuteronomy 6, where the Jews would bind up writings of the law to their right hand and forehead, because the seal of God is his law. Notice in Revelation 14, the mark of the beast is also placed in the right hand and forehead, and that is what you get when you follow people out from under the seal of God’s law identified in Isaiah 8:16. So, the law is not your enemy, it is God’s seal, and it is how he protects you. But, if you don’t want that protection, he will not stop you from opening yourself up to receive the mark of the beast instead in your right hand and forehead. But, I don’t recommend it, because God isn’t going to be happy with those who do not heed the warning of the third angels message in Revelation 14. In fact, those who continue to transgress God’s law and break his everlasting covenant, he says in Isaiah 24:5-6 that the curse will devour the earth for this reason, the inhabitants will be burned and few men left.
You see, those who get the victory and stand on the sea of glass in Revelation 15 are not turning away from Moses and his teachings, but they sing the song of Moses and the Lamb. Moses and the Lamb are the two prophets of Deuteronomy 18. Christ was the prophet like Moses, and so a true understanding of the law is one that unites with the gospel, but people like Paul came in wanting to lure God’s people out from under his law in Romans 6:14, violating Isaiah 8:20 in the process. Why would Paul do this, because Paul said he has a “messenger of Satan” in 2Cor 12:7, just one chapter after 2Cor 11 where he tells you not to marvel that Satan’s ministers are transformed into ministers of righteousness. Go read it for yourself, it’s not like Paul was trying to hide from what he really was, but Christians don’t typically want to hear that Paul was a threat to Christianity. He was a Pharisee, and Christ said of the Pharisees that they were of their father the devil in John 8:44, that they make their procelites into twice the child of hell than themselves in Matthew 23:15, they refuse to enter his kingdom in Matthew 23:13, and that they don’t have the righteousness required to enter his kingdom in Matthew 5:20. That has always made me wonder how a Pharisee like Paul was going to get himself and his messenger of Satan into the kingdom of God in light of Christ’s warning in Matthew 5:20. And when Paul blurted out late in his career that he was still a Pharisee in Acts 23:6, he not only brought his so called conversion to Christianity into serious question, but he also brought the entire body of his doctrine under the scrutiny of Christ’s warning in Matthew 16 to beware the doctrine of the Pharisees. So, should Christians follow Paul out from under the protection of God’s law in Romans 6:14. I wouldn’t recommend it. I think the Savior is right in his assessment of Pharisees like Paul. They are far more trouble than they are worth. Christ on the other hand seems to think the law will stay in tact in Matthew 5:18 until the prophetic sign he gives there is fulfilled which is “Till heaven and earth passes”. And John 21:1 shows us that heaven and earth doesn’t pass away until well into our future, because it hasn’t all been fulfilled yet.

The original question only works on Christians who are ignorant of Hebrew and the scriptures. Atone for what kinds of "sin"? Chet, Avon, or Pesha? There are multiple words in Hebrew for sin not to mention the fact that sacrifices were only offered for unintentional sins. There was no sacrifice commanded in the Torah for intentional sins. Also, Paul was commanded by James to take a vow and make the required offering in the Temple in Acts 21 to prove that he "kept the law" which, according to the text, he did perform. This was clearly a Nazirite vow based on the text because it specifically mentions that they had to "shave their heads". It's quite a simple task to see what the offering was for someone who completed a Nazirite vow (Num 6) which, by the way, included a sin, a burnt, and a peace offering. Three animals. It would be comical at best for Paul to show up to the Temple at the completion of a Nazirite vow and say "Sorry, I believe in Jesus so I'm exempt from making the required sacrifices." So yes, they are still required although they are forbidden to be performed today without the Temple altar and the fact that they cannot be done today was already anticipated and covered in the scriptures when Solomon dedicated the Temple in 1 Kings 8. Can you explain to me why the Prince (ie Messiah) is commanded by God to offer sacrifices in the Millennial Temple in Ezekiel 45?

    • @TheBiblicalRoots

Hi Cracker. "Atonement is to be made once a year for *_all_* the sins of the Israelites” (Lev. 16:34)

Lev 16:34 says "for all their chatotam (chet/unintentional sins)", it does not say "all their pesheihem (pesha/intentional sins)". The fact remains that there was no sacrifice a person could bring to atone for intentional sins. As for the Prince, regardless of whether you are convinced that he is the Messiah or not, it's pretty undeniable from the text in Ezek. that sacrifices are taking place in the future Temple and God is not angry at that, in fact, He commands it in the text. Also, no comment on Paul bringing the offerings of a Nazirite after Jesus?

He addresses his thoughts on sacrifices in the millennium in this video.
There's a lot going on in Acts 21. Paul is asked to go with some Jewish believers in Jerusalem taking the Nazarite vow and to help pay their way to diffuse a controversy in the Jerusalem church between gentile and Jewish believers and to correct misconceptions about himself. He does this, leading to his capture and the prophecy in v11 being fulfilled. He makes his defense in chapter 22, with nothing to say about the law at all... really just his conversion testimony. This passage is not Paul endorsing the law, but him trying to make peace with the Jews for the sake of the gospel.

    • @cracker3932
      @cracker3932 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

This really adds nothing because I already know what Acts 21 says. The entire episode was to offer PROOF of his Torah observance and God commanded sacrifices in the Torah. Period. You can try to side-step what he did all you want by reframing it but the fact remains, he did it. If he did so without sincerity and merely as a show for man, then I'd have to say he is a charlatan and the most vile individual in the NT.

    Solberg:
My question to you is when did Messiah instruct His apostles to stop sacrificing in the Temple?
That instruction would have been included in what they were to teach according to the "Great commission" Matt. 28.
He had 40 days to instruct them on this matter.
Therefore when the day of Pentecost arrived in Acts 2, do we find the 120 instructing the newly converted believers
NOT TO SACRIFICE IN THE TEMPLE?
The book of Hebrews to which you constantly refer obviously was not written then.
So were the new believers told NOT TO PARTAKE OF OR PARTICIPATE IN ANIMAL SACRIFICES?
Were they even told that they were in the "New Covenant"?
Were they told that they no longer had to obey the dietary laws?
The answer to all the questions above is NO!
Those Jews who converted came to the Temple for Pentecost as Sabbath keeping, kosher eating, animal sacrificing Jews.
These were the sacrifices offered on that day:
"The festive sacrifices for the day of Pentecost were, according to Numbers 28:26-31, 'two young bullocks, one ram, and seven lambs of the first year' for a burnt-offering, along with their appropriate meat-offerings; and 'one kid of the goats' for a sin-offering."
Ask yourself the same questions for the following converts in Acts. When were they told to stop animal even sin sacrifices?
Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" and abolishing of animal & sin sacrifices, have been declared to the Samaritans?
Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" and abolishing of animal & sin sacrifices, have been declared to Cornelius?
Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" and abolishing of animal & sin sacrifices, have been declared to Paul when he was baptized, by Ananias?
Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" and abolishing of animal & sin sacrifices, have been declared to the Ethiopian by Philip?
Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" and abolishing of animal & sin sacrifices, have been declared to the Jewish High Priest and Agrippa by Paul, late in the book of Acts?
Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" and abolishing of animal & sin sacrifices, have been declared to the Jews in the Synagogues, by Paul, throughout the book of Acts?
Shouldn't the arrival "New Covenant" and abolishing of animal & sin sacrifices, have been declared to John's apostles in
Acts 19 when they were converted?
You cannot find ONE EXAMPLE of either Messiah teaching nor the Apostles teaching about the New Covenant in Acts nor about the abolishing of animal & sin sacrificing.
Are you using the book of Hebrews only, ONE WITNESS., to support your position? Hebrews was on of the last books approved and added to the Bible. We do not even know it's author.
Shouldn't we require or 3 witnesses to establish a matter, and this witness should be closer to the ministry of the Apostles, as they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
Also, if the apostles had taught the new believers not to offer animal sacrifices, they would have swiftly be in trouble with the Jewish authorities based upon:
    Hebrews 10:28
Anyone who disobeys the Law of Moses is put to death without any mercy when judged guilty from the evidence of two or more witnesses
    ----
So the challenge to YOU is to PROVE that the Apostles taught others to stop animal & sin sacrificing but somehow
escaped condemnation from Gamaliel & the Sanhedrin in Acts 5, and all the other Jewish officials, King Agrippa, The High Priest, and enemies even of Paul, no one ever charged them with teaching Jews not to offer animal or sin sacrifices.
Jesus NEVER taught it. The Apostles NEVER taught that animal and sin sacrifices were discontinued due to the death of Messiah. Our EYE WITNESSES are that the Jewish leadership never accused them of teaching what you are assuming that they taught.
P.S. Jesus never used the words "New Covenant" at the Last Supper. Check the Greek.
He only said "this is the blood of the covenant." The word NEW was interpolated in the text as early as Marcion's texts.
Bibles with good foot notes will admit that the word "new" was added to these texts. That is also why you never hear the Apostles telling anyone that they are in the "new covenant" in the book of Acts.

Kat, your relative is correct. The foundation of what we call the Catholic/ Christian faith, aka the Roman Catholic Church, at its core inner circle are Satan worshipers. They have been from the start of the RCC in the 3rd and 4th century.... I have a list going of various practices of the RCC and have compared it to a practice by the various pagans. and guess what? 1 for 1 on all accounts, they are the same. Here is just a small list of what both the RCC and pagans do that are the same and none of which are in the Bible: Drink wine and say it is literally the blood of their God (transubstantiation), have a Trinity, worship their God on Sunday, worship the birth of their God on 12/25, have a worship day on the 1st Sunday after the 1st new moon after the spring equinox, do things in secret, murder people who go against them, sexualize children and women, have a leader who speaks for and is the authority on earth, for their God......
That is the short list! The RCC founders hijacked the true Biblical Faith that was started by Christ and the Apostles and early biblical followers. They used the power of the Roman empire to weld their way in to control. They then twisted scripture and played a game with the minds of people, many who could not read nor write, or they could not read the language the bible was written in.
The RCC at one point made it illegal to even have a Bible. How's that for honer and integrity? Does that sound like a foundation that you would like to have? Christ said the Anti Christ was already at work and that many would come. Many did, they are called Popes.
You want to know the true faith of the Bible? Read it without any input from a Catholic or Protestant church's doctrine laid over top. Look up the meaning of words and the truth shines!
      Just my 2 cents.
      Many Blessings! Yah Bless!

I have always understood that a third temple will be built under the guidance of the Antichrist and that the sacrificial system will be reinstituted by religious Jews and that this is stopped half way into the tribulation when the Antichrist declares himself god and places his image in the temple. Mind you I have always felt a bit uncomfortable with this position as it seems surprising that God would allow the once for all sacrifice of His son to be insulted by allowing this to happen ( but hey, blasphemy happens every day, so the may allow it). I never would have considered this being a part of the millennial reign but I do believe that representatives of every nation will desire to participate in the major memorial festivals in Jerusalem each year ( Passover, Pentecost and booths) to remember all that God has done for all people (not just the Jews).

@timgilroy1976 yes the moon is new because that's the name we give the concept. However, if you're implying the concept of "new" is always the same because the word "new" is used in a different context, that wouldn't logically follow and is called a word/concept fallacy.

@timgilroy1976 in Ecclesiastes, it's important to remember that it's poetic literature so it should be interpreted metaphorically more than anything. "Nothing new under the sun" is referring to how the same problems happen over and over in history.

    • @dustins382
      @dustins382 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

@timgilroy1976 in Jeremiah, vs 32 gives you some meaning to "new", it says "not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers"... So we can at least demonstrate that the new covenant is not according to the one before. That's one part that's new.
There seems to be two main ways to conceive of new
      1. Completely original, nothing like it before
      2. Restored to an original state of perfection (as in a reference to the thing before it)
See the difference? Either there's something before (like new moon) or not (like a new idea).
There's likely other ways that new is conceived of, so those two aren't exhaustive, just the first two I think of in the examples we're talking about.

Here is where I disagree with the HRM movement. They do not have a good arguement for the keeping of the entirety of the law of Moses. While I do think the law plays a part, I acknowledge that there is absolutely a change in the law, out of necessity, with the change of the priesthood and Hebrews 7:12 teaches us this. This change in the priesthood justifies, out of necessity, a change in the law and it is the Levitical priesthood has now been changed to a better priesthood through our Messiah in the order of Melchizedek. This does away with the animal sacrificial system to atone for our sins.

But they do not uphold the full law, and Christ said in Matthew 5:17-19 that anyone who teaches against the commandments will be called least in the kingdom. This is where the HRM messes up the teach Saturday Sabbath yet are not putting people to death for breaking the Sabbath, and many other things that are not needed because you are not under the Mosaic covenant.

@timgilroy1976 Because I believe that Ez. 43 is not saying what everyone thinks it is saying. I believe that the temple descibed in Ez. 43 was a conditional temple that will never be built. Verse 11 is the key to understanding this. "And IF they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known the design of the temple and its arrangements." Israel was not ashamed, they continued in idolatry, so this temple, which would have been temporary until Messiah would come, was not built and it never will be. There is no need for it. Even in Rev. 21:22 tells us John saw no temple in the new Jerusalem for God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

@@thedude9941 Not all of them teach that we have to keep all the Jewish rituals for salvation. There are some that have a much better understanding and know that we are not obeying the Sabbath, dietary restrictions, and the feasts for any kind of salvation. These are NOT "Jewish" rituals. The bible does not teach that. When the feasts are given, God tells them that these are HIS holy days. He never tells Israel, these are YOUR feasts.
Here is where we will disagree. You see these things as completely fulfilled in Christ, but they are not. These feasts are pointing to the first and second comings of the Messiah. Christ fulfilled the spring feasts in His first coming, but He has NOT fulfulled the fall feasts. Those are fulfilled in His second coming. Israel was to be a light to the nations. However, they never did fulfill that. Deut. 4:6 tells us this. Instead, they created a religious system around God's ways. They are trying to keep these things and the law, without Christ! When you do that, then you ARE trying to keep these things unto salvation.
I don't believe in keeping "Kosher" that is a Jewish invention. Eating a biblically clean diet is another thing. There are no "rituals" that need to be performed over things we eat. A biblically clean diet is for our health. Many people miss this. A careful reesearch of the animals that God said not to eat will show you that. It was a way to keep our bodies clean, after all, we ARE the temple now. I do not make this an issue, so if you choose to eat unclean animals, you will reap the consequences of that with poorer health. It is NOT salvational! God did not just tell us to stay away from certain animals for no reason or to get us to jump through theological hoops for Him. He is trying to protect us because He is a loving creator and knows His creation better than we do. And, lets face it, there are clearly animals that NONE of us eat!! I have found that the issue is mostly with the pig and shellfish.

Now it came to pass, as He sat at the table with them, that He took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them. (HE explained the dividing of The Word of Truth using the bread parabolically.) Then their eyes were opened and they knew Him (They knew Him… as the rejected Word at Sinai); and He vanished from their sight.
Sean believes The Son is at work, performing sacrifices (following the instructions found in the covenant from Horeb… which is NOT, and has nothing whatsoever to do with The Covenant of Promise), when in reality… this work (according to The Promise) was done from the foundation of the world. The right answer is both yes and no. Jesus died because a sin offer was required to atone for our sins. It establishes the law itself. Because, if it is no longer needed, then Jesus did not need to die. Do we need another sacrifice for sin? No, because we already have one. So, the NT establishes the OT in this case.
The quality of the question defines the quality of the answer.
The problem in communication is the term Old and New. I prefer to use it as the first witness and the second witness. Keeping the commandments is the first mark of God (Deuteronomy 6:1-7) and the testimony of Jesus is the second mark of God (Exodus 13:6-9). Keeping Torah is bringing you closer to Jesus and revealing the character of God. I do not understand why this is seen as a yoke. I agree with David with his words in Psalm 19:8-11. Constantly seeking Torah is only bringing you good things. But I keep hearing this is dangerous.

There’s no dilemma here, your question is misleading because it’s stated from a false premise.
Your question was, “Does God still require animal sacrifices to atone for sin?” And followed with, “if your answer is “No, that’s no longer how we atone for sin” - which by the way is the correct biblical answer... You're acknowledging that the old covenant law is no longer in effect.”
There is a difference between the atonement that’s spoken in Leviticus and the atonement offering made by Jesus. Hebrews explains this very well. The Tent that was in their midst, made by hands, was to deal only with food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body - it was never able to perfect the one serving, as to his conscience. As he says, “the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the defiled, sets apart for the cleansing of the flesh.” It was the flesh that was atoned for, not their conscience. So why did they need their flesh atoned for? Because the Lord was dwelling in their midst and they would have died in their uncleanness if they were to draw near to Him in a physically unclean state.
Lev. 15:31 ‘Thus you shall separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness when they defile My tabernacle which is in their midst.’
And not only was an atonement made for the people but also the utensils, the altar, and the Tent itself.
Lev. 16:16 “And he shall make an atonement for the holy place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions in all their sins. And so shall he do for the tabernacle of the congregation which is dwelling with them in the midst of their uncleanness.”
Uncleanness could not be in the presence of the Lord, lest you die. And if the Tent was defiled, the Lord would have departed from it, which later He did and destroyed it. Thus why an atonement for sin was needed. But sadly, many of Gods people were spiritually unclean, bringing their offerings and sacrifices for an atonement, but their hearts were wicked. As Samuel declared: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying His voice? Behold, obedience is better than sacrifice, and to hearken is better than the fat of rams, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”
But they did not listen to His voice.
“But My people did not listen to My voice, And Israel would not submit to Me. So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, to walk in their own counsels.”
“This word I did command them, saying, ‘Obey My voice, and I shall be your God, and you be My people. And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, so that it be well with you.’ “But they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked in the counsels, in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward and not forward. “From the day that your fathers came out of the land of Egypt until this day, I have even sent to you all My servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them. “But they did not obey Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck. They did evil, more than their fathers.”
“O Jerusalem, wash your heart from evil, and be saved. Till when would your wicked thoughts remain within you?”
“For My people are foolish, they have not known Me. They are stupid children, and they have no understanding. They are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.”
Their hearts were defiled and needed cleansing. Therefore, God promised He would cleanse them and give them a new heart, saying, “And I shall sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean - from all your filthiness and from all your idols I cleanse you. “And I shall give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you. And I shall take the heart of stone out of your flesh, and I shall give you a heart of flesh, and I will put My Spirit within you, and cause you to walk in My laws and guard My judgments and shall do them. “And you shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers. And you shall be My people, and I shall be your God. And I shall save you from all your uncleannesses.”

How does He do this? Behold, the true and perfect Tent.
Messiah, having become a High Priest of good things to come, through the greater and more perfect Tent not made with hands, that is, not of this creation, entered into the Holy Place once for all, with His own blood, offered Himself unblemished to God, to cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God.
    Hebrews 10:14-18
“For by one offering He has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified. And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my Torah on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.”
If you are submitted to the Lord and have His Torah written upon your heart, it means you are no longer practicing lawlessness and your sins are forgiven. If this is true of you, there remains no offering for sins because you would no longer be sinning.
    1 John 3:4-9
“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin. If you are of God, you do not make a practice of sin.”

He came to destroy the works of the devil, to cleanse your heart - to give you a new heart and a new spirit and to cause you to walk in His ways by having His Torah written upon your heart. Therefore, that is why it says, “Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.” So, as it says, “let us draw near with a true heart in completeness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from a wicked conscience and our bodies washed with clean water. Let us hold fast the confession of our expectation without yielding, for He who promised is trustworthy.” And then we are warned, “For if we sin wilfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but some fearsome anticipation of judgment, and a fierce fire which is about to consume the adversaries. Anyone who has disregarded the Torah of Moses dies without compassion on the witness of two or three witnesses. How much worse punishment do you think shall he deserve who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified as common, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who has said, “Vengeance is Mine, I shall repay, says the Lord.” And again, “The Lord shall judge His people.” It is fearsome to fall into the hands of the living God.”

So, to answer your question. As the Master Yeshua stated, “till heaven and earth pass away, not one jot or tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.” Do you believe in the second coming of Yeshua? If so, not all has been fulfilled. The Torah and the prophets speak of His coming, and they speak of the new heaven and the new earth with the passing of the old which comes after the judgement seat of Messiah, at the end of Revelation in chapter 21, so every single word in the Torah still remains. If the temple of God was here and His presence dwelt in the temple, yes, you would be required to make an atonement for your flesh. You would be foolish not to. And how amazing would it be if God physically dwelt among us as He did before. There certainly would be no atheist alive today I’m sure of that. But don’t get that atonement confused with the atonement that Yeshua offered in cleansing our hearts. One is for the flesh and the other is for our conscience.

When it says, “For it is not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins,” it’s not saying the blood of bulls and goats used to take away sins and now it doesn’t, no, it never did. It’s not what the earthly tabernacle was ever for. Those offerings were never able to make perfect those who draw near which they offer continually year by year.

Mr. Solberg, God is doing an amazing work. His people all throughout the world are now beginning to turn back to Him, obeying His voice and keeping His commandments. As Moses stated, “in the last days when it comes back into your hearts to do all that I command you today, with all your heart and all your soul, then God will gather you from all the nations where He has scattered you.” According to Moses, there will be people in the last days who turn back to keeping the same Torah as he was teaching back then. So, be careful, if this is of God, you are unable to overthrow it, lest perhaps you be found fighting against God.

@keithwagnon5206 It sounds like your main point is that they had physical sacrifices for cleansing their flesh because they had a physical place where they met with God. You make a solid point. But do you follow the implications to the end? The entire Torah was written for a physical people who had a physical place where they met with God. So the Torah contains physical foods laws. And physical clothing laws. And physical feasts and cleansing rituals. All for cleansing the flesh so they could come near the place where God would meet with them.
But now in Christ we are a spiritual people who come to God in spirit and truth.
John 4:23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.
Jesus told the woman that things were changing and they would no longer need to go to a Temple to meet with God.
So the physical sacrifices were no longer needed because it wasn't necessary to cleanse the physical flesh to meet with God in spirit.
Food laws are no longer necessary to be kept separate from the world. Instead, we are sanctified by truth. We are not told to physically separate ourselves from the world, but to go out into it.
John 17:15-18 I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth. As You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.
We now worship God in spirit and truth, not through the physical based commands of the Torah.

@@mr_bulow Here are a few problems to consider: 1) The ONLY biblical definition of sin is transgression of the Torah (Even Paul says so). 2) Peter says in 2Peter 3:15-19 that the reader of Paul’s letters will miss understand Paul’s writings and become Torahless. 3) Isaiah 66 speaks of eating unclean in the last days prior to the Messiahs return and it isn’t pleasant. 4) Jeremiah 31 tells us that in the new covenant He will give us His Spirit to cause us to walk in His ways (This means to keep the Torah). 5) The ONLY definition of truth is the Torah (Psalms 119). Keith did a very good job in his post. In no way is anyone here down playing the importance of Jesus (Yeshua). He kept the Torah perfectly. Our job is to walk as He walked. So, to worship Him in “Spirit and Truth” means something entirely different than the accepted Christian view. Not looking for a fight. I only reply to give the reader of these posts some additional info. Peace

@@soybeanfarmer4576 Your points are simply not true. I think people looking for the truth will see that.
The Torah is a limited presentation of the truth. It doesn't contain a full revelation of truth. For example, there is truth revealed in the NT that wasn't in the Torah. Paul called these truths, Mysteries. Some of the mysteries had to do with the church. So the Torah isn't the full revelation of truth.
      Actually, Jesus is the truth.

After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.

Hebrews/Israelites and proselytes in Old Testament Judaism (*NOT Christians in New Testament Christianity*) will offer animal sacrifices again based on what is written in the Law given through Moses at Mount Sinai according to the order of Aaron and Ezekiel 40-46. The Levitical priesthood is training up in Isael now, just look up the Temple Institute. Continued animal sacrifices to cover sins every year is simply anathema to true Christians (John 19; Hebrews 10).

  • @WholeBibleBelievers2
    @WholeBibleBelievers2 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

So this seems to be a common issue. There are more than a few problems with this question, lets address those.
    1. You asked, "Does God still require animal sacrifices to atone for sin?" The answer is that the animal sacrifices never did atone for our sins. Hebrews 10 : 3-4
    2. Im assuming that what you "meant to ask" is, "does God still require sacrifice?" Well this is why we give thanks over our food. The fact is, everything you eat has had its very life sacrificed so that you can continue to live. Remember you ARE the temple of God. 1 Corinthians 3:16-17 there for all things consumed by you was a temple sacrifice.
    3. The blood of all the billions of sacrificed animals never ever equaled the blood spilled from one man, our messiah. remember the law is there to point to our savior....
    4. The very definition of sacrifice is: "
an act of slaughtering an animal or person or surrendering a possession as an offering to God or to a divine or supernatural figure"
Why do you bless your food? BECAUSE YOUR THE TEMPLE AND THAT BURGER WAS A SACRIFICE.

    Dear Dr. Solberg,
There is nobody in the Torah community today or in the Old Testament time that thought animal sacrifices were justification for sins of death. The blood of bulls and goats could not take away death. Moses knew that. David understood that justification was only through the Yeshu'ah of YHWH.
Behold, the Lamb slain at the Foundation of the World promised to Abraham was not the blood of animals!!!
Only Yahshua could take away death. Isaiah 45 explains justification.
"Yeshu'ah" is an Old Testament concept of Salvation by the Right arm of YHWH.
"Turn to Me and be saved, All the ends of the earth; for I am God,
and there is no other. have sworn by myself ; truth has gone out from My mouth, a word that will not be revoked:
Every knee will bow before Me, Every tongue will swear allegiance
24Surely they will say of Me,
"In YHWH alone are righteousness and strength.”
All who rage against Him will come to Him and be put to shame.
In YHWH all descendants of Israel will be justified....

Gentile Believers are free to obey the commandments given to Israel at Mt. Sinai and it warms my heart when Jews and Gentiles worship together under the traditions of Moses. But, you are 100% correct that all Christians, including Messianic Jewish believers such as myself, are no longer under the old covenant. We believers get to decide what traditions we wish to practice in our lives without judgement of others. As human beings we must remind ourselves that we are all brothers and sisters in Messiah Yeshua. Colossians 2:16 (I must constantly remind myself of this verse as I know it applies to me.)

My answer would be "No" as well. I do not follow any HRM. To credit the late Michael Heiser, the Levitical sacrifices were in place to keep the people ceremonially pure. For the Lord (in the form of His Angel) dwelt among them. He already left us a memorial to practice in the Lord's table, and the sacrifice for sins is once and for all, so it makes sense to allow the sacrifices their original function of keeping clean the sacred space on earth where Jahovah dwells (as He will once again be physically dwelling on the earth with his people). Oh, and the entire earth will be sacred space in his earthly kingdom. That is why all nations must participate.
Thank you for your ministry. It is a blessing.

But what you fail to understand is even under the Sinai that's only one method of atonement, onr such example of atonement without animals is found in Numbers 25- where pinchas killed 2 people which brought atonement. Moreover, so were coins- Exodus 30:11-16. Plus, incense brought atonement, see numbers 16:40-46.

The Scriptures point out that the Levite priests WILL NOT be re-appointed to their former glory, because not a single Levite Preist stood at the temple when it was under attack. Clearly showing by their actions that they had no longer trusted their God. Another note...The Scriptures also point out that the Levites will be house servants in the House of Jehovah.

18:45 - the ironic thing is that the 3rd Temple was built upon Jesus's body. "Destroy this temple and I will raise it up in 3 days." His Body is the 3rd Temple and it was rebuilt, via the resurrection from the dead. But what is alarming is that our Catholic friends have reimplemented the OT sacrifices in the form of the Mass, where each time the Blood and Body of Christ are reconstituted and sacrificed again. So in an ironic way, the Jewish temple sacrifices have crept back in, at least for some in the church.

To answer your simple question. Animals are not required anymore because Christ is our atonement. No need for carnal ordinances. The law still remains. (no kill, no steal, no lie etc.) That's why it's even more important now to observe the 7 feasts, the day of atonement being one of them. HE is our our Passover, our Sheaf, our First fruit. In fact, all 7 feasts are memorials of our Savior. Not Christmas. Not Easter, or any other man made holiday.

    The verse you quoted:
"truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota nor a dot will pass away from the Law until all is accomplished."
I also think that what it is saying is that until heaven and earth pass away, the whole world will be under the weight of the Law until heaven and earth pass away. That is to say, our atonement for sin is the Messiah, but unless you believe on his accomplishment, the whole world is judged by the Law.
"Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind. For God will bring every deed into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil."
There were two witnesses that die in the street of Jerusalem before Gods judgement befalls the world. Is it not the Law and Grace?
Messiah did die to atone for sin, and the Law stands as witness in judgment for those who do not believe.
