I’m think there’s a continuum of spending and saving rather than a binary. Compared to hard core spenders I’m a saver and compared to hardcore savers / frugal people I’m a spender. I would say I’m a macro / big picture thinker and hate details - I’ll automate paying myself first (savings, and investing - have an emergency buffer). But cutting back on small everyday things (coffee and food) and keeping an itemised budget is hard.
