I have really gotten into classics this year! I read P&P years ago and loved it, but this read I’ve read 1984, Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, picture of Dorian gray, and just finished Jane eyre. Every one of them have been 5 stars! 💙
I had no idea the great gatsby was so short!! I will be saving this for later because I want to get more into classics but I swear school ruined them for me so I want a re-do 😂 Jane Eyre is definitely one I want to pick up!
Loved Jane Eyre so much!! 1984 is a book I think about so often. Have you read The Count of Monte Christo? I’m currently reading Frankenstein but I think that might be my next classic!
I haven’t! It’s on my shelf though and definitely high up on my list next because I hear such great things! My current classic read is East of Eden by John Steinbeck!
Great recommendations, one of my favorites so far is Rebecca and I also enjoyed Frankenstein a lot. I will try Dorian Gray or Jane Eyre next, both are sitting on my shelves 😊
Thanks for this video! It was super helpful. I've started Pride and Prejudice on audio and it was hard for me but when I started reading it physically it was a lot better. It is quite long though, I'm taking my time with it. I have Brave New World on my shelf, I'll have to give it a try next!
I’m so glad! I have never tried listening to classics on audiobook but I can imagine I wouldn’t quite like it as much. Reading it physically just seems right to me! Thanks for watching
I've never read The Great Gatsby, but I've been meaning to read it. I think I actually got a free version of the book on my Kindle and might read it closer to New Years 👀

Hell yeah I’m so happy to hear that!!
totally off topic but the lighting in your videos is always so cosy!! thanks for the great tips, Becca
Thank you!! It’s something I do intentionally for all my videos so I appreciate that
So well described and explained! I’ve read several of these and agree wholeheartedly. Going to try a couple of the others and reread a few. 😊
Thank you, and thanks for watching! Hope you enjoy the rereads
I've read most of these and 100% agree! I specially love the picture of Dorian Gray
Same. Probably my favorite from this list!

That’s such a perfect time!
@@geminipages I think so too! Looks like I already have my New Years TBR 🤣
Great video Becca. Book recommendation, The Road by Cormack McCarthy. If you like dystopian fiction it’s great.
I do! Adding it to the list, thanks so much!
