Bharatantayam basics part 1 - Kalakshetra style - Tattadavu

Steps or Adavu's are the basic building blocks while learning Bharatanatyam. This video showcases the first set for basic steps that one learns. It is called Tattadavu - Tatta means to hit ( in this case hit one's foot flat on the ground) adavu meaning step.
There are 8 types of Tattadavu's. The 3rd and 8th are in Rupaka Talam, rest are in Adi talam.
