well I feel old, just the blurred image on the vid thumbnail screamed CPC at me, never had one myself having a Speccy instead but one of my mates had one. Still remember having some fun before his mum gave us a lift to school back in the day
Schneider 464 was my second computer (after ZX Spectrum). I actually loved it's subdued design, unlike the circus version that was sold in UK. Locomotive basic was really great and I wrote a number of programs which were (being basic) incredibly slow. I actually threw mine to thrash some 10 years ago when I found that it does not work. I still miss it.
The Schneider!! :D I had a friend who had one. It was rare here in NL. I was taken by the powerful graphics functions and the quick loading speeds of the diskdrive compared to the C64. And just one thing to add.... 42 :D
You should try the numerous modern homebrew games, they really show what a well handed old machine can do. The retro Amstrad scene have been quite active the last 15 years, be it concerning Demos, Games or peripherals..
I had one with grey keys but which still said Amstrad on it and was still sold as an Amstrad Even the pic in the catalogue had coloured keys. So far, it's the only one of its kind I've ever seen
Sweet memories :) I still remember being let down by those PC Compatible floppy disks, horrible documentation and such. But still, I needed a "real" computer for uni... :(
The Schneider CPC 464 was my first computer. I also only had the green Screen but 2 disc drives and a 512k RAM expansion. I loved to play the first Elite on it and also a game called "they stole a million" This video brings back some great memories.
32:05 that teared me up for some reason 😭
Harrier attack and Oh Mummy on the CPC464 where my 2x favourite games.
I had one and loved it. Only good thing amstrad ever made

It looks classy compared to the UK version.

And where's your towel?
I like the looks of them, but I need another vintage computer like I need a hole in my head. :)
That C128 needs an SD card solution. Was there a version of the Hobbit? That was a text adventure, but it also had graphic screens.
Yep. That exists for the CPC.

They stole a million was one of my all time favs. Great game.
I sold an Amstrad printer not long ago. Sent it to the other side of the planet to Australia.
Had a much better basic than the Commodore 64
Very interesting.
