I also got alternative ones and they had the same wrong sized plastic issue. I ended up removing the plastic part from the original and using with the non original earpads. It actually made a huge difference. You just have to remove gently and you kinda have to streatch the OEM earpads because they are not the same size. But the end result is great.
I just got them. I didn't have any issues with them. It took me 1 min to install them and they fit perfectly without gaps or extra leather hanging. The space for the ears it's also pretty similar (if not equal). Maybe they reworked the design since this review (They do have a plastic frame on the bottom). Been using them for 4 hours and so far so good. Now only time will tell how long they'll last without peeling (Originals lasted 2 years).
@@nayv in my experience not worth it. This review was made almost 2 years ago. I bought 2 pairs and they already peeled and broke a part where they're sewn. Now I have the M4 for travelling or special listenings and the M3 are just desktop or bed headphones (I can put all my head weight into them while resting in a pillow without worrying they''ll peel or something lmao). On daily basis I switched back to earbuds (Especially in the summer).
In all honesty I just got my wicked cushion ear pads for Sony wh1000xm3, and they look supreme. They don’t look nothing like in this video, the pads are super comfortable and makes the sound more dynamic. In all my xm3 look perfect now.
@@maxcardenas8257 I just ordered the suede ones. I like the looks of the leather and generally the feel also but I don't want my ears to get too hot...
Hey there! So after few years is there any improvement to the Wicked cushions? or a better recommendation? I saw on amazon another two brands name MMOBIEL and SOULWIT, can you recommend any? Which would suit best in shape and keep the noise canceling as similar as the original Sony ones? Thanks a lot!🙏✌
If you are near the manufacture of these og earpads, you can buy it real dirt cheap. I did buy a few pairs which have the same quality as the originals
So i just bought the XM3 and been usingn it and noticed after an hours or so my ears feel a bit uncomfortable I realized it was because of the earpads being too soft so my ears kinda go inside alot. is brainwavs sony Xm3 earpads good for this problem and are this wicked cushion good for my problem thank you very much
The reason they don’t fit very well is because they’re designed for the X (the original) and the XM2. I put them on my MDR-1000X and they fit perfectly.
hmm....iteresting. Thanks for dropping your "knowledge" for us Aaron. When I'm ready to upgrade my headphones I'll give wicked cushions a look for replacements
Yes Sony is terrible at supporting and standing by there products. I will no longer purchase from because this. Bose and Sennheiser much better customer service and easier to get ear pads

You need to contact Sony directly to buy them

It is straight forward. You have to line it up According to the tab and install it
Where can you buy the original ear pads for only 60$? I only found them for around 90€ which is around 100$.
How to clean the foam part of the cushions?
Damp cloth Bose recommends for protein leather.
Have you ever tried the skins for these headphones. If so, where you pleased with them and did they effect touch controls?
Are there also replacement earpads for the Bowers and Wilkins PX?
Other than the official ones sold by B&W, not that I know of
@@aaronloudnwireless thanks for the reply! Was just wondering if there were more soft earcushions for these headphones

Wicked cushions make excellent backup earpads for the xm3. I helped them with the xm2s and have been overall happy with them

Hope you know you can swap the frame from the original earpad to the new earpad to give you better fittings.

I’ve had mine for like 2 years and they smell so bad bruh can I wash them??
they sell you the ear pads like 50 dollars for each side. it's disgusting business practice.

I want to buy third party ear pads bc the originals make my ears sweaty
Hard pass.
