What a beautiful Deutsche woman you are my great grandfather Peter Schwegel immigrated from Nanceweiler Rhineland in 1898 settled in Alton IL to become a grocer the family grocery is still open today (although not the original store) so with a name like that you know I have to have my "daily bread!" Locale Baker use to make Kiasers was my favourite, think it was corn meal on top.Best warmed in microwave. MY second was a whole wheat roll.Sunny afternoon before work, hope it melts the snow.☺

@@msr1116 Mohnbrötchen are baked all over Germany, you can find them anywhere. so no, i wouldn't say poppy seeds are region bound.
