Yes, they are different versions of the exams and the content of the sections aren't the same. Each exam has a "reading & writing" part and a "listening & speaking" part. Reading & Writing: The ECPE has grammar, close (gap fill), vocabulary and single-passage reading questions for the GCVR section. The ECPE has grammar questions similar to the MET, but the MET does not have the close and vocabulary questions. Also, the reading on the MET is on pairs or sets of passages where you have to compare the differences among the passages. But the ECPE has a more difficult single reading text with advanced vocabulary being used in the passage. Listening & Speaking: On the ECPE Listening, you will have to answer short questions and questions on academic lectures. For the MET listening, you will hear short and long conversations and radio broadcasts. For the ECPE speaking, you will have to complete a decision-making task with another student, and each student will be given a different information card. But for the MET, each student will be tested alone with 5 different tasks; tasks 1 to 3 are speaking about a picture, task 4 is giving an opinion, and task 5 is being persuasive.
