It's such a gorgeous car, I have a 2011 BMW Z4 sdrive 30i and I'm in love with it, it's the perfect machine.
I drove a s drive i35 yesterday my god what a machine the sound of the engine was incredible
The 35i, you mean. It is such a great car and I really think it will become a classic in about 10 years, because relatively few e89 Z4's were produced and the quality and experience of the car is amazing, as you have experienced. If you can afford it, you should buy one and I am sure you will never regret it. I love these cars soooo much that after my first 28i I also bought another 35i. And we use the 28i, but on weekends and road-trips, we take the 35i. And I am still very happy everytime I use both of them.
I own a 2011 BMW Z4 sDrive 30i, pretty much the exact model shown except black on black interior. The car can handle anything I can dish out and more. There is plenty of HP and Torque to go around, feels solid at near top speed and can corner well enough (a little bit of under steer) to make most people who aren't used to hard cornering nervous, lol. am happy with it to this day.

Might have a first generation Z4 in our garage pretty soon... good value and my dad really likes it..

I own the e89, and I have had it for three years now. And I recently found out that when I open the door with the manual key (that slides out as shown in the video), the alarm goes off when I open the door, and it does not stop unless I put the whole key in the slot behind the steering-wheel. Funny, but it is a bit strange.
The 2013 Z4sdrive35i is actually pretty fast. The inline 6 can out run a 2012 Porsche Boxter with ease

The previous owner was probably ugly, hence the broken vanity glass.
What happened to the first aid kit? It used to be under the driver seat then they moved it to in between the two seats in a storage place in the middle but you didn’t mention it. Where did they move it to now?

the sDrive35i is now single turbo. The sDrive35is still has the N54 twin turbo
Who spends their time touching their dash. Every time I get in my car to go somewhere, I like to feel my dash before I leave.
Do not rev an unengaged engine past 50% of redline - spin a crankshaft bearing and you'll be BUYING the car you're reviewing; or at least its' engine.....what about the 370Z roadster???
The new Miata is hands down a better car. I drove both. Despite my love for Bimmers for 20 years I went for the new MX-5. Very happy with the purchase.
Problem is Miata is made by Asians, which means your average European lad is going to struggle to fit (I'm 6ft 4in). I LOVE the Miata but no version offers enough headroom and I'm not willing to lower rails etc.

I don't like small cars like this but the Z4 has really caught my eye. But no oil dipstick..... And you'd most likely pay 250 at a dealer for me is just plain stupid to me.

Really bad review. I have this car for 11 years now - and no, the top lid on the dashboard won’t break. There is absolutely no problem with the interior. But revving this engine cold is how you kill it.
Unfortunately the new Z4s are a bit too soft. They're more for cruising rather than sporty driving. I hear the top of the line model is sporty, but the fact that the lower end models are cruisers turns me off to a of them. I loved my 06 Z4, but it had far too much understeer for a fast roadster.
this is why the aftermarket exists...throw some KW coilovers and the sportiness is back in the twisties
