I love this song, and haven't heard it for ages. I guess for me, I do connect with it, and Michael's voice is amazing. If this song doesn't connect with you, that's o.k. too. I know he made his name as a Metal singer, but IMHO his voice may be even better suited to the more Rock/Hard Rock sounds of his solo work (including Place Vendome)...or maybe I'm just getting old, hahaha. Still love his Helloween stuff though. Cheers!

I love his Helloween stuff as well, but I'll be damned if Readiness To Sacrifice isn't one of the best things he did. I find myself returning to that record more often than any of his other stuff. Loads of bangers on that album.

If I may recommend something with a similar vibe sung by Michael Kiske, but to me personally much more connecting, it would be "Key to the Universe" which is a song composed by Timo Tolkki (the founder, former guitarist and the main composer of band Stratovarius... well, maybe you should check Stratovarius as well 😉) with Michael as a guest on the vocals. I don't know how much that song is popular, but I used to like it a lot and this one that you've just listened to reminded me of it.
But yes, I think you should check some Stratovarius. It's a band that influenced many bands in 90s, including Nightwish and Sonata Arctica.

Michael Bolton mood his Solo albums...jajajaja. He should be the vocals on Iron Maiden when Bruce Dickinson left...but, hes not english. Anyway, Adrian Smith from Iron Maiden and Kai Hansen (Halloween-Gamma Ray was the guitars on his álbum)

In the '90 Helloween released 2 albums verry differend for their Power metal style, way ahead of the time,but verry bad critised by the metal community! And the guilty was for M. KISKE, who left the band and the metal scene for many years,until Tobbias Sammett from Edguy convince his metal Hero to join forces în the Avantasia project!
