Being a beginner gardener here what zones are they good in ? Are any of these cold hearty to be used as perennials in landscape?? I'm surrounded by weeds everywhere so I've got lots of landscape to cover to try & plant myself a nice boundary somehow keeping all that junk from fields away 😁
If you have time, I think folks would appreciate Colleus watering care. I always have an issue with that, they seem to rot on me early on, and I touble determining is it disease, too much or not enough watering. Thanks in advance.
Coleus can be water sensitive in the start. When it is cooler it is important to not over water and make sure they have good airflow around them. As it get warm and the plants get more established they require more water.
Love these comparison videos!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching
I grew El Brighto this yes in an urn on a pedestal with dark leafed pink begonias and it really put on a show!
I bet that was an amazing planter!

should they be pinched back if tall and root bound when purchased?
They sure can. If you pinch them it will make them fuller. We pinch all the time when it is needed.
Lindos demais
Hoping to add this to my fall planters but how well do they tolerate the cold temps in the fall ? In zone 5b
If it gets cold they will not do well.
I know some people ate the dart foolish like dark pink look like dark purple
how many coleus do you have in these planters? Just one or 3?
These are not my planters. But if i had to guess there are 3-5.
Can we eat the leaves ?
Some coleus are edible in some forms. I can not say for certain that these are the edible varieties.
Is there full shade comparsion? Thank you. I dont have much light in flat.
I don't have any pictures in full shade. The colors would not be as vibrant.
