Absolutely amazing! I love the juxtaposition of the amateurs and pros. The athleticism is unreal! It's an incredible experience witnessing the caliber of precision of the top riders, sharing the race course with them, and learning from them. The struggle is real and the racers that persevere always leave with experience points gained. It's dope seeing the rapid progression of each of the riders and the sport as a whole!

Coming from Moto and old style enduro I had no idea this was even a thing after being out for 15 years. Riders and the coverage are amazing...you got me.
I'm not a racer (just a dual sport commuter and weekend warrior), but my brother in law races hard enduro and I may be able to shed some light. There are a few arguments against full wraps. When a full wrap hits a tree for instance, your bars turn. Some prefer to take on a bit more risk in exchange for the ability to "bounce" off of the tree. Hand shields/ wraps, will flex to allow a bit of forgiveness if you catch that last bit of your bar end. Some also have the opinion that in an event where the hand leaves the bar, it could theoretically jam the arm down through the guard, causing a more serious arm break. Neither school of thought is "correct". It all boils down to prefrence and personal experience.
They didnt have to go through that dam Boulder field on the side of the mountain this year lol. Last or before it was probably the worste part of the whole race
