is you account is a administrative account if yes then use your system password... if not then check administrator is enable or not.

but in this solution, you granted full permission for the user to do anything in the pc, if there is another way to give him admin permission for regedit only!

What does modify mean? Modify can refer to changing user account permissions for file and folder access, thus giving or taking away the ability of a user to view and make changes to files or folders. Modifying permissions can only be done by the administrator for a computer (or administrator account) or the owner of a file or folder I looked at that article and i wanna know rdoes that mean other people can access my pc data or..i just wanna know
if you are giving permission to a user admin rights, then you or other who is accessing the PC.. they can modify you file also they can delete... if it is a simple user no administrative rights then, they cannot delete the files or modify it.
Cause i was playing a fnf mod and um i was spamming then something that said modify popped up i didnt click on it so does that mean im safe?

Do you know how to set permissions like user1 and 2 can see and edit all files, I know how to give permission to a certain folder or file but not for all files?
If you give user 1 and 2 administrative permission both the users can edit and see the files..if I am getting it wrong kindly revert me back.

Please help, I reset my pc completely and had my friend re-install windows for me and now I can’t open my device manager or stuff like that. The code it gives me is mmc.exe
If you have discord so we can hop on a call that’ll be helpful
press windows +r --run will open... then type there mmc.exe..
then click on file and click on add and remove snap...click on device manager and select add ....also you can add others options also.... then click ok ... then press ctrl+s .... then save the mmc file somewhere so next time if you click on that file it open the device manager.....

is your pc is not having virus then try below steps...
right click on the d: drive and go to properties -- select security tab--- then click on administrator --- click on advance--
again click on administrator --- then click on change permission--- tick the (replace all child object permission entries with inheritable) - then press ok ---- administrator access should full access. try and let me know....

You may be using Home edition.
Change a local user account to an administrator account
1. Select Start >Settings > Accounts , and then, under Family & other users, select the account owner name, then select Change account type.
2. Under Account type, select Administrator, and then select OK.
3. Sign in with the new administrator account.

When I clicked on Apply it came up with an error message: "One or more errors occurred while recording group membership changes for user (my user)"
When I clicked okay on this error message, it came with another: "The following error occurred when while attempting to save properties for user (my user)"
I had this problem aswell!

My be your PC is home edition... Please check my description.
Same for me it doesn’t show up. But if you go to the folder where you want full access then click properties then go to the security tab. Click edit then type your username (it’s ur pc account name that looks like a email.) then Check names to make sure it’s right then tick the permissions then apply.

And again and again I can't just call MS about issues...I have to spend hours on the net googling and youtube watching to get answers...god I freaking hate MS. I did the most recent update and now it has locked me out of a folder where I store my backups with acronis. It says I need system permission??? Who the hell is system?? It's my computer? correct? My windows?? Correct?? So, who is system?? Do I have to get some kind of special MS agent to come over and type in a password or something?? I freaking HATE MS!! I have a linux system in my living room, it's an older computer, won't play my recent games. But, man, I'll tell you it never f***s up like this. NEVER!! Thanks for the vid and reading my rant...
