Despite their grandchildren being mixed (half-human and half-witch/warlock) due to their unfortunate lineage, it doesn’t matter to them and they absolutely dote on their grandchildren.
"I beg your pardon?" Ha! So much subtext on this show that was ahead of its time.
The way Murray Matheson's eyes flair after he says "thespian" just adds to the comedy of this line. I can not believe it made it through the censors of the time!

Endora and Maurice had a surprisingly open marriage for a 60s TV show!
I'd just figured they were divorced.
Just to show how different accepted warlock practices were from the non magical people norms. Endora and Maurice had already been shown to be over the top personalities, as had many of the other witch and warlock. This was simply another mind boggling acceptable practice 😆
Plus they're not mortals, so I guess they get a little bored, and allow for some variety.

Amen to that! She was and is the mortal mother i've always wanted growing up and still do at 56. I literally sobbed when she died! She was and is a treasure and a gift! I love and miss her so much!

Endora had great bone structure
Moorehead was Fantastic in every way. Watching her, as a child.. I had No idea of her great stage, or radio career. She was with Orson Welles for the great "War of the Worlds" broadcast in *1938* . In fact, her performance was so well received that RKO offered her a 100k per picture contract.. She held an M.A. in Literature and Public Speaking from University of Wisconsin, and a Doctorate in Literature from Bradley University. She studied Pantomime in Paris, with the great Marcel Marceau, and graduated with honors from the American Academy of Dramatic arts.
From a very religious family, her father was a minister, and her Uncle, W.G. Moorehead was one of the contributing editors to the Scofield Reference Bible. (All easily found references on line, but not sure if most people were aware.) She was truly.. a Star.

This is open marriage, depicted in the 1960s. It is funny how people think that the 1960s were “family wholesome”, where there were visible prove that open relationships were common. VERY COMMON, just disguised as a “secret”. Whereas, in Bewitched, it was seen as acceptable and also welcoming.
They were divorced when Samantha was a baby,.

It’s amusing that Maurice is offended by the use of “Mor-ris” for his name, since the pronunciation of his real name (Maurice Evans) was “Mor-ris”
Yeah, I read not too long ago that although the French pronunciation is Mor-eece, like he pronounces it in the shoe, in Britain it’s pronounced Mor-ris and that’s what he was called at home. I guess it was kind of an inside joke.
There has to be an in-universe reason he prefers the French. I've been told there was an approved novelization and his last name (and therefore Sam's) was Dobson, but maybe his mom was French?
The French pronunciation is more theatrical, with the rising intonation on the last syllable rather than the falling one on the English version. So his name probably was originally pronounced like "Morris," and that is why his rival intentionally called him that--a "remember who you are" snide remark. ✌🤣
I believe this episode was cobbled together from other scripts because Dick York had already had his medical emergency and wasn’t available for filming.
I loved this show and so sad about Dick York’s health 💔
So sad how much pain he was in. He was always a terrific after since he was young. Very soulful looking

That's correct- Samantha was originally supposed to tell Darrin she was pregnant in "Samantha's Surprise," which Dick York collapsed during. That episode was reworked into "Daddy Does His Thing," keeping him a mule the entire episode instead of just part of it. (The rest of that script was reused in Season 6's "Daddy Comes for a Visit.")
Because Dick York was already gone, they had to film the rest of season 5 without him, and so Samantha "tells" Darrin she's pregnant over the phone in this episode. Then the Darrin and non-Darrin episodes were mixed together in the airdates so it didn't seem like he was missing.
Watch the ending. Sam explains to Tabitha that she's going to have a sibling. Tabitha is so cute with her responses. 🙂 The episode is SAMANTHA'S GOOD NEWS.

In terms of storylines some episodes were the best though. But the first Darrin was the best.

Sad that Dick York was gone by then. Darrin should have been in this scene witnessing his in-laws pranks and finding out about the new baby.
I almost thought that was a young Louise Sorel but that was actually her mother Jeanne Sorel. I didn’t realize how much they looked alike.

I think that Dick Sargent's Darrin was kinder to Sam, in many ways, and seemed less accusatory of her if something didn't go as he expected. MONEY HAPPY RETURNS is an exception. But he apologized, hut Sam understood.
I'll also point out that in season six, Dick Sargent tried the Dick York approach in some episodes, a bit loud boarding on yelling at Sam. Sam was always trying to defuse the issue, . An example of this is in the episode DOUBLE SPLIT where Sam and Louise taught their husbands that family comes first.
As the seasons wore on, I noticed a change, a calmer Darrin and a real warmth toward Sam, in a different way, one that didn't require an apology from Darrin for being a dunderhead that often. I love the scene when Darrin goes in to see Sam after Adam was born. Beautiful. For me, that blows up the thought that there was no chemistry between Dick Sargent and Elizabeth Montgomery, especially when a budding friendship was forming, and lasted until his death. She loved his friendship.
There was no chemistry between them as husband and wife.

I think there was excellent chemistry between her and Sargent, but that's a matter of opinion.

Post-Bewitched, Montgomery actually didn't keep in touch with any of the cast, save for Erin Murphy (Tabitha) who was friends with her kids. She did not rekindle her friendship with Sargent until the late 1980s when both were interviewed by Herbie J. Pilato, who was writing "The Bewitched Book" at the time (later "Bewitched Forever.")

The story goes that the orginal Darrin hurt his back badly but there also a rumor floating around that he had become obsessed with Elizabeth and they used the back story to cover up his starting to believe they really were married

I read somewhere that Dick York was very attracted to Liz Montgomery . They said that after meeting her for the first time while auditioning for the show Bick York referred to her as "Sex on a stick" .
"Interesting gossip" but completely untrue. York was attracted to Montgomery (what straight man in the 1960s wasn't?), but that never happened. His bad back and subsequent painkiller addiction led to him having a seizure during the filming of season 5's "Daddy Does His Thing," where Darrin was supposed to find out about Samantha's pregnancy. York never came back after that, so it had to be rewritten. And this episode was created so the audience would know Sam was pregnant again and she tells Darrin over the phone.

All of that because Dick York wasn't present anymore. Calling Darrin to tell she's pregnant?? They should've at least make her say she'd already told Darrin before his trip... Offscreen....
In the Late Sixties 60's it took about 3 to 4 Days to Confirm a Pregnancy Test so if you took it on a Monday you wouldn't know until Thursday Morning or Afternoon so her Husband going on a Business Trip would be Acceptable because she would not be Sure if she Was or Wasn't. Fast Forward just a Few Years into the Seventies 70's and you could get Results in as Little as a Day and few years later it only took a Hour to Confirm today it only takes 15 to 30 Minutes at Home Test Kit.

@@gregorybell8898 so what? That's not the point. It's a SHOW. a great show. But it took an episode that was chock full of potential and did little with it. Towards the end of the series they were even doing rehashed and remakes of old former episodes. Got lazy and repetitive. Plus the new Darrin lacked the charisma and cute puppy-dog look of the 1st one and was just this big lanky goof ball who wasn't endearing at all. The series went down the tubes for several reasons but mainly the problem was a lack of interest on the creators parts.

I'm hoping that someday after I get married I'll get pregnant and have 3 kids of my own 2 girls and a boy and I'm gonna name them Alessia Camila and Troye. I hope I'll have a twin boy and girl first and then a year later have another girl

Fact is: that she smoked like a chimney ,like many others with the iNDUSTRY back then,and didn’t properly take care if her teeth.

Elizabeth Montgomery at one time remarked that a manager or something suggest she get her teeth capped, especially because of the chip she had in her front tooth. She said she wasn't about to walk around with a mouth full of chicklets.

پتہ چلا کہ وہ سفید پوش عالم ایک یہودی تھا، یہودیوں کو عربی بخوبی آتی تھی، جسکا اس نے فائدہ اٹھایا
سلطان نے پایا کہ اسکے جیسا درس اب خطبوں میں عام ہو چلا تھا، بڑی مشکل سے یہ فتنہ روکا جاسکا۔
فتنہ اس وقت بھی پوری آب وتاب سے رواں دواں ہے، آخر کیوں لوگ اسلام کو بدھ ازم بنا دینا چاہتے ہیں ۔ جبکہ کھلی حقیقت ہے کہ ظالم کا سامنا کیئے بغیر ظلم کا مداوا ہوجائے یہ ممکن ہی نہیں۔۔۔gg
