    This kind of video can save us ThinkPad users a lot of time and trouble. Deciphering FRU designations with absolute certainty is a major aid. Danke! 👍

    Toshiba vs Delta fan cooler heatsink on Thinkpad T430 review & noise test. The T430 has 4 different fans/coolers from Toshiba or Delta with or without dGPU. Delta with dGPU: FRU 04W3270.

    The difference is unbelievable. I wonder if that Toshiba fan is somewhat faulty, it produces way too much mechanical noise I think. On the Delta fan all the noise comes from purely air noise.

      All t430 Toshiba fans are very loud. I have owned a few

    • @panoramacircle3281
      @panoramacircle3281  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes Toshiba fans are louder because they have more blades which creates more pressure but also more turbine noise

      @@panoramacircle3281 is more pressure for Toshiba Fan better at cooling or the fewer blades more effectives?

      @@SuperStststststst all the t430 uses that Toshiba fan? i bougth my first T430 with an i5 and i feel that the fan is very noisy. Sounds like a little formula 1 hahaha...

    If you use TPfancontrol in windows, put level 127 and you get 6200rpm on the stock fan (toshiba in the mine), it gets VERY loud

    I'm about to upgrade my t420 with delta fan and Ivy bridge. I was a little concerned about the liquid metal. Ive heard its risky, and even more risky here in humid FL, USA.

    Got a Delta on my X220, it too is just as quiet on its lowest speed but it does ramp up fairly noticably under heavy loads. Not super loud though - louder than the Delta in your video but nowhere near the Toshiba!

    Does Delta cooling have bigger surface area on cpu and gpu? Aparat from that i think it have better fin design on radiator

      The delta fan has fewer blades which reduces the turbine noise

    what is the difference in delta fan based on physical inspection of the fan blades?

    • @panoramacircle3281
      @panoramacircle3281  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well the Toshiba fan has more blades then the Delta one

    Liquid metal on bare copper is not a good idea for long term use! It has to be nickel plated!

      i will have to nickel plate the cooler to addition because liquid metal on copper lose conductivity with years passed
