I think he'll be a bit better then Brian Burns, Montez Sweat types. I dont know if he'll hit TJ Watt, Bosa, Parsons level
i dont think the texans floor can be worse than the last 2 years, it just doesnt make sense. our o line improved, d-line improved, linebackers improved, imo the qb improved too. the biggest improvement imo are the coaching and scheme. the texans last year had the shitties defense systems, with no adjustments, and no flexibility. the offense play calling was garbage also. just those improvement alone should mean that we cant do worse than last year.
If you analyzed last year's team, 0 wins would have been an appropriate floor.
Add new coach, rookie QB, and tons of newer players? Yeah, they improved, but 2 wins is definitely possible for this team if they don't perform/get some bad breaks.

Texans finally able to sign better caliber free agents this last off season since they finally got out of all the bad contracts and cap hell. Texans have finally turned the corner from the Bill O'Brien trade/cap management dysfunction and the Watson disease with two good drafts under their belt and 11 new starters this season
we still have some dead cap but not extreme amount, just cooks is hurting us and few other contracts i think, but that is caserio testing people out as well, I'm sure on superbowl runs he will plan to have close to none with dead cap. Unlike BOB setting the future with dead cap and no draft picks lol
@@bobbythorton7693 Yep, but every team has some dead cap on the books but the Texans owed over $42 million in dead money for the 2021 salary cap as an example...42 effin contracts. Just google, "Texans dead cap: 42 contracts account for over $42.28 million". No way the team could function normally with that lousy roster and no space to bring in players.
With the way this team is playing and how easy their schedule is going forward, there is a legitimate chance they finish this season with more wins than they've gotten the past 3 seasons combined.

As a Texans fan I’d be more comfortable if they would’ve traded the browns 1st round pick instead of their own when they got Will Anderson

@@mac4118 Or they could’ve just taken Will Anderson at 2 instead of having to trade up to get him. The team is gonna suck this year anyways at least keep the draft picks for next season to take the qb you want or make a massive trade for Caleb Williams

I mean, I think it’s safe to say I’ve been right the whole off-season. This is a completely different and much improved team. Stroud has been great, the receivers have been great (I called it), the o-line has been good enough, the d-line has been improved, the linebackers have been great, and our secondary has been our strongest position group so far. This team has been an all around improvement and I’m already so happy with this season
The Texans also have a pretty weak schedule in comparison to the rest of the team, wouldnt be surprised if we managed 7 wins this season
Idk if I call that schedule weak 8 teams that they have to play are playoff caliber
8-9 record, this team has improved on all fronts. This season will be key in setting up the free agency, they finally will have money to spend on stars. Could they get Tee Higgins 👀
Trade for any of the commanders Dline. Or if the Texans could somehow trade for Brian Burns or Dexter Lawrence(i know he interior but he special interior. and he just got paid).

good thing that the Texans didn't get number one pick, with number pick Texans picked CJ Stroud, I think is a great picked, Young is a great player but his size worried me.
Tbh I think my Texans will go about 7-10 this year with the offense coming along and our defense looking stifling
