Hi SH. Great to hear from you. I find it very strange that no one in the local/national media or tv news or discussion programes are highlighting this issue. It appears to be being deleted/censored out. Is it now taboo to ask questions and criticise what is going on? People are arriving in droves to their A&Es in hospitals and sitting for hours on end, because their 'supposedly' overworked, phone answering only, doctors refuse to see them face to face! People will most certainly die as a result. No one in authority seems to care or think this is important. We clapped to appreciate the NHS and we all stayed home to save it. Now we are landed, ( without any consultation ) with this ridiculous new way of trying to see a doctor and it is rubbish. Best wishes from the Belfast Castlereagh Hills.
Thanks for posting this Tom. I'd heard about the depot and kept meaning to go down and take a look for myself but you've saved me the trip. So all the multi billionaires are getting even richer while small local shops and communities are being destroyed. It seems to me that the cure is worse than the disease.
lol FF. This is the way of the world now I'm afraid. We are being directed to becoming totally dependant on the internet, staying at home and not mixing or meeting with our fellow man. This cannot be good for our well being.
Thanks for sharing Tom I buy a lot from Amazon and their Tracking is the best in the business,is this there only Centre in the country,I see H&W there in the background and at the start I thought I say a Buzzard sitting on the electric light pole.
They are super effecient Paul. Yes I looked back over the video when you mentioned that and I think you are right! I was too focused on looking into my camera that I missed the buzzard! Oh dear! Well spotted!
PS Nummanda. I have done quite a few meet ups with other TH-camrs living here. It's always good to exchange TH-cam information and ideas. What about a meet up and or video interview? I'll even buy you a cuppa and a scone. I'm in the Castlereagh hills near Knock. No bother if you'd rather not. Best wishes Tom
Tom, I stopped using Amazon over 6 months ago. I will never buy again from Dyson, Apple and a few other big tech companies. Years ago big companies looked after their staff, the communities the worked in and gave back. All they do now is fill their own pockets, like many other in our society.
Hey Sean, Thanks for your comment. This is unfortunately the way things are moving ......and fast. The small man/entrepreneur who gives a personal service and back up is being bought over or systematicaly undercut and closed down. These irrational shutdowns have made this happen even faster. The big companies are establishing complete monopolies and Government looks the other way and are taking backhanders. Many of these companies do not even pay tax like the small man has to do. Many of them have zero hour contracts and only pay minimum wage, so worker rights are completely abused. I'm afraid it's all about the money with many of these big guys! Best wishes from Belfast Northern Ireland
The trouble is GE that small local shops will inevitably die because Amazon undercut their prices. That means the village and town centres will die. Once the local outlets are all gone and there are no other suppliers then we will be at the mercy of big off shore companies like Amazon. And guess what? They will inevitably stick up their prices. It is bound to happen. Best wishes from the Belfast Castlereagh hills.
Hi again IK I have done TH-cam 'shout outs', for quite a lot of folks I meet via TH-cam. eg My friend, digital artist, Martin Kenny, is just one that I regularly focus on. If and when we meet up I would be happy to do this for you. We all need a helping hand and a bit of encourgement. It might bring in a bit of business/commissions! I'm on t2mcclean@hotmail.com ps Does Next Door Neighbour operate up there. It could be a useful place to let folk know that you are available for carving work. Advertising is key in selling anything. Best wishes.
Thanks for highlighting this story.

Crazy stuff indeed Tom,could just imagine what a real big city would be like with millions of people.
This is happening everywhere in UK Rob. Amazon have done very very well under this shut down.

Totally agree with you on this B. The high street is bust and the cure is far far worse than the supposed disease.
Hi Tom, when I saw this I thought this cannot be good! 😢
