- The FX Impact vs the FX Wildcat sound comparison. Also, some comparisons and observations between the two.
In this video I finally go outside to do some sound comparison. Both rifles are shooting 25.4gr JSB's at ~835fps. Length and weight will be discussed as well as the action location.
I had a little trouble with youtubes annotations feature so, if they'r off... that's why.
You're a natural!
Great stuff, Tom.
+Ted's HoldOver I'm glad you're enjoying it! Thanks for the compliment and inspiration.
+Srt Tyres lol....
Good stuff... Looking through the scope on that last shot... priceless lol.
Thanks! Most informative. I'm putting in my order for the Impact. Sounds to me like you aren't far off 285. Shouldn't be hard to hook up this spring.
AQSKY - I removed your comment for language. Trying to keep it clean, you know...? Yes, 2000 for 1 caliber. I haven't heard a price for deluxe kit yet.
Hi, I got a wildcat today and took my scope and mounts off my R10 to fix it to the wildcat. The mounts I have are low or lowest mounts you can get. Issue I have is when bringing the FX to cheek I have trouble looking through the scope and have to raise the butt of rifle right up just below my eye socket and is not comfortable at all. Does this mean wildcat is better off with medium or high mounts as a standard policy? Look forward to your reply.
+waddac2
I believe I'm using medium height mounts. Sounds to me like you might have to go with mediums or high.
+Atoyota25
Thanks buddy.... Trip to the gun shop it is then for higher mounts ;o))))
good stuff Tom... they do have videos now on you tube that show easy ways to hook up a gun sling one is put a hole in the bottom of the butt stock and put a heavy machine screw in it and attach it to the either the bi-pod rail or one of the side rails.
What charging method do you use for the FX Impact? I would sure love to own one.
Thanks for the video Tom that was very interesting I kind of like how you are picking out the differences between the guns but myself I'm more of like a traditional type guy and I really don't like the FX impact it's got that great big Goofy bottle to where you have to hold that in your hand is a form and I don't like that I like the FX Wildcat because you actually got a forearm you can hold in your hand and not hold a bottle or tube and the scream line was really appealing to me because you had a nice four-armed hold on to and not a bottle or tube the FX impact looks to spaceship raygun looking to me but good video though
Thank Don! It's true that the WC handles better than the Impact and is much more appealing to the eye. But, there's no denying what the Impact has going for it. When it comes to tunability, there's nothing that beats it. That Wildcat is still in my collection to this day. Although, I upgraded to a laminate stock.
what's with all the downvotes? this was a good video! I'm choosing between the wildcat mk2 and Impact in .25 cheers dude
What is all the ricocheted the ricochet sound repeatedly
The Wildcat 25 does have a crack to it. Not the end of the world but I did expect the Wildcat to be a bit more quiet though.
+D'artagnan V8der It does have a bit of a snap. The camera really makes them both sound loud.
+Atoyota25 after seeing critters reactions after being shot at with the Wildcat, it is still quiet enough. Its just on my list of things to do next to a picatinny rail for a bipod for the Wildcat next year. And that's about it. Not a long list at all for the Wildcat :) Good luck and keep up the good work man!
I just ordered the impact 2 days ago and anxiously waiting for it. Does the telescopic barrel come with the .25, I thought it was only a .177/.22 , or did you buy the telescopic barrel separate?
Another question is based on your purchase. In hindsight would you suggest any other additions Ie; clips, mounts and so forth?
The Impact comes with either a telescopic or a fixed shroud depending on how you spec it out. I believe that's true for all calibers.
Accessories to consider might be a chronograph for tuning and lots and lots of pellets! Other than that, I don't have any specific recommendations.
Dear i want to know that how many barrels come with the gun
My guess is that you did not have it "maxed out" to its maximum power setting, based on fact that in other reviews, .30 caliber 44gr is reaching high 800 fps range? Thanks, AGW.
quick question dose your .25 wildcat shoot predator poly mags,or will they fit in the magazine ? I just ordered mine and forgot to ask them and every time I call its like a 2 hour wait to air guns of Arizona,I know jsb are about the best for this gun but I got so many tins of preds...I want a gun that can shoot them I will reorder if need be o and same for the impact will it's mag hold them as well??
Use the "call back" option. It works! I have no idea about the poly mags. I've never tried them. If they don't work/shoot well, you could always sell them off and help finance JSB's. Congrats on the Wildcat, you're going to love it! :)
with side burns and a mustache like that you must moonlight as a nascar racer.
If you want to put a sling on the Impact you could add a 10/2 Quick Detach Swivel Attachment rail mount. You get them from Wilson Combat $39.95
What scope is on the fx wildcat?
I'm torn between the Wildcat and the Impact. They both have what I want in an air rifle, but the Impact have a little more. For an extra $500ish, is it worth it? Can't make up my mind! If I get the Impact, I'm going to have to borrow a scope from one of my other air rifle until I can get a Hawke.

This questions comes up all the time. There's a lot that can go into to making this choice. I really like both of them equally but for different reasons. I always find it helpful to make a pro's and con's list when I have to make decisions like these. Good Luck! :)
+Atoyota25 So this just came to mind when I was watching your video again. The POI with the LDC retracted and extended. Does that shift the POI around? Can you make a video on that at 25, 50, and 100 yards possibly? Thanks!
Any chance I might see you using the action whilst shooting as if you were a left-hand shooter? The safety is on the correct side for me, but sadly not the action.
Probably not since I'm currently selling the Impact. Sorry. If you're interested, you can find me on AirgunNation.com "Tominco"
+Atoyota25 looking into buying either the impact, wildcat, or streamline from Fx, which would you recommend and caliber as I'm new to this sport.
This would be a question best asked on a forum such as Airgun Nation. There just are too many factors that go into a decision like this. All 3 are good choices and all 3 have their strong points over one another.
Tom what is your bipod on the wildcat?
Thanks in advance
+cucaratsa76
That's a Harris bipod on the Wildcat.
+Atoyota25 thanks
So which one is more quiet?
+Dallas Howell
Yeah... I guess I didn't really say it huh? I think the Impact was a little quieter than the Wildcat.
The only thing I can see wrong with the impact is the scope is far above the barrel . If you mount it as low as possible it will be hard on the neck . lol
me tira uma dúvida essa carabina custa quanto aí
Nice man, O got wildcat .30 (700mm) pls help me, Can I shoot a pig from 50 meters?
where did you buy the bi pod for the wild cat that wraps around the air tank?
+John Gulla FX sells that through AoA
Impact looks like a paintball gun!
me podrían mandar un numero para poder comprar
