That was like a poem :) how beautiful, I loved the contrast from quiet morning to busy evening. You got some gorgeous photos too, my favourite is the thumb nail! 😊

This video is so different from others you’ve shared. I loved it. It was kind of like a video/stills photo album. The sound track complemented the visuals really nicely. It has a kind of movement to it which propels from one image or clip to the next, but without feeling rushed or intrusive. As others have noted, your commentary is truly poetic. (I think Robert Burns would be proud!) I hope you will do more videos like this (when the spirit moves you). But don’t pull back from your other videos! They have a beautiful aesthetic, too. So wonderful to see you exploring! Thank you.

Thank you! I've been reading a lot of Burns recently so perhaps that has spilled through. Burns is a hero of mine so to be mentioned in the same comment is a huge compliment.

Good work John thank you for sharing the video it brought back memories of shooting in Osaka in 1975 freezing conditions 6" of snow and using my Yashica Electro 35

I'd love to have seen Osaka back in the 70s! Never seen it in snow either.

That was beautifully poetic. Stunning light on the day shots but as you know I am a sucker for the night shots and they did not disappoint.

Hey, isn't that the same guy who dances in the middle of Argyle Street 😁
Very stylish vlog ... but somehow less personal.
The best TH-cam video stylist I've seen is 'Ivan Chow', although his street photo's, mainly of Hong Kong, aren't quite my thing (a bit too Joel Mayerowitz in their busyness for my taste) he manages to be both capable and quite emotionally vulnerable. He's now living in Canada, but is obviously as homesick as hell.
I went to see the Simon Murphy exhibition at Streetlevel. Some great individual photo's, and some 'beautiful' (in the widest sense of the word) people ... but still falls into that 'worthy' trope of all working class people being miserable, which is just as much as a cliché as rich people all being posh profligates.

I follow Ivan Chow, great photographer. I did struggle with the Govanhill exhibition. Great photography but left feeling something needed addressed. What that was is another story and almost certainly the point of art!

To be honest I think Streetlevel tends to promote this 'worthy' type of photography, rather than anything honestly innovative. Seems to be a hangover from 'kitchen sink' drama of the 1960's.@@JohnMcKennaPhotography
