Vincent is big, down here in Texas at least, he’s straight out of Canton Texas, Ft worth based. He is definitely on the eyes of us down here, he may never be mainstream sure but who wants that. He’s our own little gem… on vhs haha
Charlie has grown on me. I finally get his music. This sold me on him. He's a badass. Better than anyone on pop country radio. If ever need a picker, hit me up.
Cool factor intact. Toothpick in the mouth while singing the song. Love it. I'm the old guy in the room and come to think of it, I don't believe I've seen anyone do that before. Charley really has his right hand strumming in full force on this nice tune. My bucket list?? I would love to sit down and write a song with Charley before my time ends. Just say'n...
Charley has steadily been climbing towards the top of my favourites list. He is one dapper dude, if I have ever seen one. And that is coming straight from a snappy dresser himself.
Figured Vincent Neil Emerson was some old timer from the old days. Turns out the song was released in 2015. This is a good version. But the original is amazing. look him up
Loving every moment of this . Feeling like it was playing in the background of my soul during my travels before I'd even heard it. Thanks Anthony for your dedication to promoting artists like this. And thank you Charley from the bottom of my heart for your light in this world . Safe travels
I rarely post on TH-cam, but this dude done stole my ears. I’ve been craving, searching and digging for this kind of folk music for years. I fucking found it. If anyone has suggestions similar to this vibe, please feel free to send them my way. (I have the ones we all know.)
This version of this song is one my favorite songs ever, now. I listen almost every day, at least 3 or 4 times. I'm addicted. My friends in Fort Worth say Vincent and Charlie are both great guys. That's cool. I hate rooting for assholes. Lol.
I rode into town and I laid my money down on a game that was made to lose everything I had I could carry on my back don't want nothing I cant use 7 come 11 I will speak 7 come 11 you gon' see well I once had me a sweet girl fair and young and fine I was hers and she was mine well she couldnt sing a note but all along she roamed when will you be coming home 7 come 11 I will speak 7 come 11 you gon' see so when I come around haul my body through this town keep my words on your mouth and I tried to hold onto to the love that I have found lay my poor burden down 7 come 11 I will speak 7 come 11 you gon' see well I drink up all the liquor and I burn down all your trees I swam across the blood red sea when a second angel came from heaven it did rain like revelation 16:3 7 come 11 I will speak 7 come 11 you gon' see 7 come 11 I will speak 7 come 11 you gon' see
Revelation 16: 3 'The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.'
While studying poetry at the University of Toronto [ahem] we were cautioned about comparing things to horrific events, like, because your experience is actually likely not at all like WW2, or whatever. In that way, I dig when you share your experience about your mother working like a slave, and other things relative to the geography of your socioeconomic whatever all the words are. I like the authenticity of that, and appreciate that as a highlight in your work. Like when Colter Wall says “quiet as a cotton field” in “The Devil wears a suit and tie”. I really want to hear that exact silence, and understand that it’s different, or say “hi” to your mom.
Well hell... imma singer/songwriter born n'raised in good ol FtWorth... might have ta check out the fella what wrote this un here... I'm diggin on this version, so.....
I got attacked by a dog riding my bike in the country near my aunt Wilma’s farm on July 11th, and I use this song to remember the date for when I talk to lawyers about it. Honest.
In Canada, all you have to do, is phone the Sebringville OPP and ask to do what’s called a “freedom of information form” and they send you a written account of the event for $15.
The Steph Curry comparison is so played out and lame. Everyone thinks they’re original with that trash. Charley is awesome! GemsOnVHS is the best TH-cam channel!
“A country music star that doesn’t wear ripped blue jeans, tight t- shirt, black hat, a mean scowl and own a Yeti cooler will not be around long” - Tim McGraw
Nothing like zooming in on that with your digital camera that's made in a factory in China by a guy making 43 cents a day with minerals dug up by children making even less.

He’s got the same “I’m gonna stare through the camera into your soul” that Sierra has. Brilliant.
Vincent is one of those guys that might not ever make it big but is absolutely legit.

I can't get enough of this man. He's very intriguing.
Charley has steadily been climbing towards the top of my favourites list.
He is one dapper dude, if I have ever seen one.
And that is coming straight from a snappy dresser himself.
he has a style all his own, i love it.
Luke Bryan tried that stomp move once... Shattered every bone in his leg.
😂😂😂
Best comment ever.
I keep coming back to this comment and every time I read it I laugh
Casey Good ain’t that the damn truth!
Legend has it, he's still recovering.

vincents great.
Same. One of those rare, newer songs that sound like they've been around for 100 years. Charley's got a couple of them himself.
Just VNE and Charley live a month ago. I feel like they're saving genuine music.
The original is so fuggin’ good. Thanks for this.
Gutted I missed this guy when he came to the UK, such a powerful musician! Hopefully next time he's over here I'll catch him.

Met these two guys in the bar Tootsies in Nashville. They were super cool.
This version of this song is one my favorite songs ever, now. I listen almost every day, at least 3 or 4 times. I'm addicted. My friends in Fort Worth say Vincent and Charlie are both great guys. That's cool. I hate rooting for assholes. Lol.
SAME
Addicted in the same way. Incredible.
That sounds fantastic.
This guy's a class act.
I've listened to this 4 times since I found it.... I found it like an hour ago
I want to hear Charlie play the old Earnest Tubb tune "thanks a lot". That would be great.
Holy crap. What a strong performance
Goat
Incredible! Intense! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thats some good music.
Charlie looks to be and artist who will last the ages of time.
Can we just get a Gems concert? Seriously, not even lalapalooza could match such a line up.
slick progression!
Solid Gold! His name is...
I rode into town
and I laid my money down
on a game that was made to lose
everything I had I could carry on my back
don't want nothing I cant use
7 come 11 I will speak
7 come 11 you gon' see
well I once had me a sweet girl
fair and young and fine
I was hers and she was mine
well she couldnt sing a note
but all along she roamed
when will you be coming home
7 come 11 I will speak
7 come 11 you gon' see
so when I come around
haul my body through this town
keep my words on your mouth
and I tried to hold onto
to the love that I have found
lay my poor burden down
7 come 11 I will speak
7 come 11 you gon' see
well I drink up all the liquor
and I burn down all your trees
I swam across the blood red sea
when a second angel came
from heaven it did rain
like revelation 16:3
7 come 11 I will speak
7 come 11 you gon' see
7 come 11 I will speak
7 come 11 you gon' see
Revelation 16: 3 'The second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it turned into blood like that of a dead person, and every living thing in the sea died.'
So worried he's going to swallow that toothpick
years of practice keep him safe
Any doubt of this man's authenticity just went away noticing him singing with a toothpick
Lmao
Surely ur not a bernie fan. God help us..... u should listen to some other bs if u support that socialist pile of shit
It’s said that Charlie was born with a toothpick in his mouth.
If I met this guy at the bar id order 2 shots of 100 proof bonded whiskey....and give him both😎
So sick!!!!! 🍭
