angelou2812 The most popular games for a while now have been about glorifying evil behaviour. Nothing about creativity, altruism, natural strengths, exploration, nature, problem-solving, wonder etc. Instead it's all about conditioning young people to find murder and abuse entertaining and rewarding by making their avatars display joy and pleasure and rewarding such behaviour with praise, worthless money and status within the game. It's not only the entertainment that's at fault. People are thinking, well, the US being a violent bully has made it number one, so that must be good on the individual level too.
It seems hard to glorify that which you condemns when showing it on the screen. At least if you want it engaging, with dramatic ques, music and so on. The Wolf of Wall St was criticized for this. The American people and even the world has no idea of the level of deception perpetrated on them. Co. Wilkerson sounds solid and clear for a 73 year young man. I wonder if he knows 911 was perpetrated on purpose by the deep state so we could stay in the middle east.
Christian Bale's face is too open and friendly to be a face of such apparent "evil". Bale's Cheney is like a chubby lovable bear. He is so human in those scenes with the daughters. And maybe the real Cheney is like that too, but you really can't see it from his public presence.
the thing I dont like about the movie is BOTH PARTIES have become more evil and they both take money from lobbyists. Creating MONEY to be made from politics. Not public servants. The Democrats are by no means innocent or better in any way. It is all over the place. We need people in office who want the job not the money.
Apparently this movie includes a line spoken by the Condoleeza Rize character telling us how displeased Isreel is with the war on Iraq. Truth is stranger than fiction.

I don't think GW Bush is a bad dude, but he was clueless and scarily uninformed.I remember watching many of his interviews and press conferences and he NEVER could speak about ANY issue in a knowledgeable or substantive way. He only delivered talking points and was incapable of expanding on his views in any coherent manner. When he got off script he would say things like: "...I looked into his soul..."(referring to Putin). I think the real sin of GW is that he did not want to know. He embraced his in-curiosity and was satisfied with just playing the role of president
Imagine if this guy was never born, if there was no attempt to invade Iraq, which never lead to the rise of ISIS, which never resulted in one of the largest number of people attempting to migrate and which never resulted in one of the most politically divided periods in our history
Cheny was not all evil. People have the capability to do great evil, but even the most evil actors can still have non-evil qualities. To portray Cheny as someone who supported his daughter when it wasn't too inconvenient gives credibility to the film.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Average Americans have zero voting power. We have no control over the media, who present us with our choices. We ,by law, lack any financial leverage whatsoever throughout the electoral and political process. The best we can do is work with whatever minimal electoral power we have via making our voice heard.

There were two major problems the Democrats had in smearing Richard Cheney. First, they have nothing on him (and no, just because the Left fascists lost their favorite dictator because of him doesn't make him "evil"). Second, Cheney worked for Bill Clinton in Bosnia, which was completely ignored in the film. Saying bad things about Cheney meant saying bad things about Clinton.

Exactly what I suspected. The movie was whitewashed into a sympathetic character study, that paid no attention to the direct connection that Cheney had to the atrocities that came before 2001, 9/11 itself and the wars that followed. As if he was a “good” guy, who was simply ambitious. Sad.
I don't know if Rome ever had this self-awareness (they certainly didn't have the Internet to disseminate dissent), but if we've been an official empire for 19 years, then we could make history if we dismantle it by 2021. We could beat the Curse of Rome. The American Empire could be one of the shorter-lived ones that was stopped by its own people. That's history worth making.
I don't think Mr Cheney is evil at all. I think he's an individual that reacts accordingly to the present environment. What would have any other vice president have done during a situation like 9/11 ?
Wish the interviewer would let his guest speaker speak more instead of injecting his points of reference whether the script or actual events. I believe the General could have spoke more to the truth of Dick Cheney had he been allowed to. Especially since the general was there instead of in a Starbucks reading reports. Just saying.

I saw Vice last night. I am familiar with his history, and all of the horrible things he has done. Why they needed a heart for someone who didn't have one amazes me, also why he never went to prison for war crimes. Satan himself sat next to me and was amazed how terrible he is.
If the host hadn't have said his name I would've thought it was Matt Lauer with a beard
"Adult supervision" was from imperialists serving the war machine. The only difference with Cheney may have been that he was overtly more self-serving than the others.
The American people and even the world has no idea of the level of deception perpetrated on them. Co. Wilkerson sounds solid and clear for a 73 year young man. I wonder if he knows 911 was perpetrated on purpose by the deep state so we could stay in the middle east.

"It's a wonderful life" would of been a very different movie, had Cheney been the main character.
Sam Rockwell not getting the Golden Globe for playing Bush is almost as criminal as the Bush Administration.
Christian Bale's face is too open and friendly to be a face of such apparent "evil". Bale's Cheney is like a chubby lovable bear. He is so human in those scenes with the daughters. And maybe the real Cheney is like that too, but you really can't see it from his public presence.
SHit good interview. Subbed
That Rome comparison to our nation's system now was great.
the thing I dont like about the movie is BOTH PARTIES have become more evil and they both take money from lobbyists. Creating MONEY to be made from politics. Not public servants. The Democrats are by no means innocent or better in any way. It is all over the place. We need people in office who want the job not the money.
colonel Wilkerson was portrayed by David fabrizio
Project for a New American Century; New Pearl Harbor; Cheney was embroiled and behind the scenes furthered this:
The biggest question??? Why is he not behind bars!!!???
Hanging from a lamp post even.
Apparently this movie includes a line spoken by the Condoleeza Rize character telling us how displeased Isreel is with the war on Iraq. Truth is stranger than fiction.
One a side note: Wilkerson is incredibly eloquent.
Did he just say he “didn’t know his ass from a hole in the ground”? I’ve liked Wilkerson for a while but even more so now.
Me two.
Wilkerson hit the nail on the head when he doubted if USA (and the world) would ever recover. It won't.
This man is obviously well informed and to the point. What he says is shocking, not for its content as we suspected it before, but for explaining it so clearly and factually.
But in the end... the strongest will always be right, even morally. That's a part of nature that even human beings won't escape from.
LoL, "wise" words from someone that seemingly didnt catch that he fucking worked there when it happened! "the strongest will always be right, even morally." Hahaha, what a dumb statement. Its also wrong.
Cheney and this story is the peak of the start of all that has led us to where we are today, when the GOP had finally crossed all the lines
Paul spoke of the most significant facts about Cheney at the end of the video which Wilkerson confirmed. Yeah Paul!
Hitler loved his dog, but he was still Hitler at the end of the day. I don't buy it.
What astonishes me, still, that year after year, aware guys like Wilkerson still call the Military Industrial Complex "defense" contractors , , not warmongers, not war profiteers, not war criminals. This is cognitive dissonance at its worst.
He eludes to the Roman Empire at one point. As history reminds us, that empire eventually collapsed.
I almost choked when I heard Whoopi Goldberg trying to equate class and dignity with the Bush administration as opposed to the current Trump administration. That lesser of 2 evils bull#$$%^! is insulting to one's intelligence.
Cheney may not get to sit at the head table with Hitler and Stalin, but he sure gets access to the facilities at the same country club... Hard to imagine a punishment harsh enough for him.
Why is it that persons who are qualified to be president never consider running?
D.L. Bearden Because they know the system is corrupt.
Because they don't want to be puppets and cannot be effectively honest. They have too many handlers. False stories will be planted to ruin them and maybe assassination.
I love the former Vice President. I wish we had Cheney as our president for 8 years.
And yet Americans time after time vote for these people. So in the end it's the American people that are responsible not these individuals like Trump, Cheney, Bush etc.
You have no idea what you’re talking about. Average Americans have zero voting power. We have no control over the media, who present us with our choices. We ,by law, lack any financial leverage whatsoever throughout the electoral and political process. The best we can do is work with whatever minimal electoral power we have via making our voice heard.
@@jamesdragonforce Americans blame anybody but themselves because people like you come along and say don't bother, you have zero voting power.
Americans are given a choice from local elections to federal elections. That they don't take advantage of that right is their responsibility. nobody elses.
The moral of the story is, if you don't get involved, others that do will, and because of that they always be in control. Your fault not theirs.
Simple.
BTW AHole, "You have no idea what you’re talking about."
Who did you vote for in the last presidential election?@@MrStringybark
Why the hell is the director talking about him like he's a martyr? He's a damn war criminal who should be in jail
I love this channel!
I loved Vice. And I gotta say, the more the movie tried to make Cheney look evil, the more I liked him. I’m sorry. It’s true.
this review was an EXPERIENCE.
He was Machiavellian, to be as polite as possible.
"which terror attack would you allow to go unchecked so you don't look like a mean and nasty fella",
There were two major problems the Democrats had in smearing Richard Cheney.
The real life Darth Plagueis that didn't die.
What an excellent interview and fun way to laugh at ourselves from the perspective of the most despised despicable creature to have walked across our political stage...Along the lines of the old Steve Allen show that brought various characters to a table for conversation...I'd love to have had a young undrugged Hinter S. Thomas writing about Dick Cheyney. I see them having an interview while shooting.
Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The process is laid out in NSC-68 and after the fall of the Soviet Union The Project for a New American Century “Rebuilding America’s Defenses” resets the course.
To get out of this mess, leading public officials must wear the latest lie detector and mind-reading technology, linked to a panel of psychologists and scientists from all political stripes. This panel will eliminate any irrelevant personal detail ber for this information goes public. This panel will wear mind-reading technology, linked directly to public viewing while receiving comments selected for investigative panels and the public.
it was not an attenuation of DIck's evil. The movie only shows the whole person and his history behind. I was impressed by his bureaucratic acumen and skills in manipulating the system to change it. and if you are a politician who wants to pass civil rights legislation, fight against climate change, reform police, and offer medicare for all you NEED to use his methods although not his values
Cheney think he is safe but he will be punished for his crimes. He will spend the rest of his life in a small prison cell with the rest of them.
When money equates to power, VIRTUE is as good as dead.
Is this movie an attempt to prep the masses for Cheney's return to the forefront of American politics? Bolton's return along with the movie... the writing is on the wall
all the earth full of gold will not saved those killers on the day of judgment when they enter hell fire ... there is no justice in this word but God the just God and he will make full justice for those oppressed in this life on the day of judgment in the next life.
But ..until we all die...how about we clean up the mess, today....?
Exactly what I suspected. The movie was whitewashed into a sympathetic character study, that paid no attention to the direct connection that Cheney had to the atrocities that came before 2001, 9/11 itself and the wars that followed. As if he was a “good” guy, who was simply ambitious. Sad.
Naahhh.. that movie proved how evil he was.
Are there enlightened intelligent Americans that are unaware that Cheney was at the very center of the false-flag operation referred to as 9/11?
I don't know if Rome ever had this self-awareness (they certainly didn't have the Internet to disseminate dissent), but if we've been an official empire for 19 years, then we could make history if we dismantle it by 2021. We could beat the Curse of Rome. The American Empire could be one of the shorter-lived ones that was stopped by its own people. That's history worth making.
It started arguably in 1898. But definitely after WWII with organisations like the IMF and the CIA.
On the left.. you get David Axelrod
I don't think Mr Cheney is evil at all. I think he's an individual that reacts accordingly to the present environment. What would have any other vice president have done during a situation like 9/11 ?
That's nothing more than excusing a war criminal
Cheney is the closest thing to Stalin I have seen in my lifetime personalitywise. Next to him stands only Sadam.
Wish the interviewer would let his guest speaker speak more instead of injecting his points of reference whether the script or actual events. I believe the General could have spoke more to the truth of Dick Cheney had he been allowed to. Especially since the general was there instead of in a Starbucks reading reports. Just saying.
Good discussion.
Cheney was acting as a president. Bush Jr. was just a front man.
This is depressing. It sucks being a moderately observant, intelligent, and informed American in this era of "imperial overreach to the max." It's like being a goose that's aware of being roasted. Sometimes I wish I could just grab a partisan hat and get real stupid -- just honk along to daily distractions like most of the country -- not wondering why it's getting so damn warm in here.
Paul you look cool with the facial hair. A bit disgruntled, but in a good way. (Maybe I'm just saying that because I have a similar look today.)
Ignatius Jacques Reilly It fills out his jaw area.
Stop following and allowing leaders to do the things they do to us and abroad . These people are supposed to our public servants and they must serve us , the common everyday people . Stop believing they have our best interests in their hearts, minds and actions without being accountable to us, the common people . The vast majority of the people hear and abroad would never let these leaders do the things they do . The vast majority of us here and around the world want peace with our neighbors down the street and across the world . THEIR MUST BE TRANSPARENCY IN A DEMOCRACY SURVEILLING CONSTANTLY WHAT ARE SUPPOSED TO BE OUR PUBLIC SERVANTS FROM BOTTOM TO TOP !!! what we have is surveillance on the billions of us on planet earth who want peace, love and joy .
