That's super cool. I'd love to go on a cruise that goes through the canal.
I have cruised through the Panama Canal 3 times and LOVED it each time. If I have the opportunity to cruise the PC I would do it immediately. It was the best 15 hrs ( x3) Of most of my cruises ( more than 20 ).
Once a group of us did a progressive meal (6 of us) while transiting the canal. The deal was you had to make something only using items from the Buffett ( we had permission from ship staff).
It was amazing.

I couldn't even park my car this morning without bumping the curb but you take the equivalent of a horizontal skyscraper through a narrow canal without hitting the sides. I don't think your adrenaline will ever come down.

Given that low water levels in Gatun lake is limiting the number of transits per day through the canal which is having a major impact on cargo shipping, I'm a bit surprised that cruise ships are able to make transits.

How do you keep the ship from bumping the sides of the canal?
