The person reading this sounds like she is channeling Woolf directly. This is one of my favorite audio recordings of any book. If anyone has the last three hours, please share the love.
I know it's been a year but ill drop the link to the full audio here for anyone else looking (Skip to 4:01:30 to pick up where this leaves off) th-cam.com/video/D_0-gxP_e0U/w-d-xo.html
As someone who gets bored easily (I’m recently showing more signs of ADHD in my late 20s) I forced myself to bring the book Mrs Dalloway for my trip. While waiting 5 hrs I figured why not find a way to read more. So I listen to this while reading the book! It’s more fun and her voice- I must say (like everyone else can surely agree) is as if she is channelling Virginia. I love this 💙 Thanks for helping me fall in love with books again 🥹💙
I'm having an exam on this on tuesday, and I thought I could make things a little easier for myself by listening while reading, so I don't think you quite understand just HOW annoyed I am that this was just HALF of the book -.-'
It's tragic that mental illness was so misunderstood in Woolf's day. We can only speculate about how many more masterpieces she might have created had it not been for her suicide.😔
It always surprises me and makes me upset thinking about how she suffered the same with Septimus and later on they shared the same fate and they both committed suicide.
What a terrible book. What a dull person Virginia Woolf must have been Privileged, floating through London while all around her there was poverty and she is flouncing around buying flowers. Ugh

I have realized that after listening to Mr. Dalloway and To The Lighthouse, I am not a fan of stream of consciousness novels. You guys have fun!
😂😭

THanks for reading this book for us, I wish the prologue would have been ommitted, it is of very little use, it adds nothing to the work
