I think you’re forgetting to consider the way ancient earth bending techniques that we saw from King Bumi only subtly in ATLA also incorporates bone bending. If you read the Kyoshi novels you should know there’s also Lao Ge who teaches Kyoshi about the ancient earth bending techniques that basically lead to immortality. It involves remaining completely stagnant in growth, like the earth. The results of this are physically evident as you basically don’t age by paying attention to the way your body and bones decay, and then bend them back in places that help extend your lifespan by many years. Mentally you must also remain stagnant, which is probably why Bumi was always so childish. Kyoshi was able to live for 230 years practicing this technique and who knows how much Bumi was able to do with it but at the end of ATLA he was 112. This is mega OP.
With this much content hidden away, i still don't get why Avatar still doesn't have more prequel and sequel stories animated by now featuring novel stories like this.
Bone-bending could potentially amount to a form of healing for Earthbenders, like for helping bones/joints heal or re-aligning broken bones from severe fractures.
what about obsidian bending like if a lava bender fights a air bender and they kool the lava then its obsidian and its still earth and lava but in a frozen state so could they bend it
@@oblivion6891 Lava benders basically have control over the temp of the "earth" materials. You can see that when Zaheer breaks Gazong out of prison. He just threw him a few rocks and then he turned them into lava, so lava changing back to its solid form isn't a concern since they control the temp anyway.
@@user2435 True bro so damn true, Ok imma say it earthbender is the most powerful bending their is along with water bending, Airbending isn't good but isn't so bad either cuz you have enhanced speed and endurance, If you are skilled enough you can entire the spirit world and use astral projection like jinora but fire bending is for me really except for lighting bending but it can also kill you. So yes earth bending and water bending dominates
No, the forbidden earthbending technique is when two earthbenders each stand on a boulder and then lift each other's boulder with earthbending, thereby ascending into the stratosphere.
You talked about toph being still active and op at her old age, but you could have mentioned kyoshi and how she lengthen her life to 230years so maybe toph had been doing the safe thing rebuilding the dying parts of her body
There actually is a technique that earthbenders can use to live longer confirmed that has been used by both kyoshi and bumi, and i think it has to do with putting their inner organsback in place while getting older but who knows
@@no.one_lol2055 omg that is so cool thanks for that insight, I never thought about those two putting their organs back in place before that is really interesting
In the Kyoshi novels there is a legend of an earthbending technique where you keep yourself young forever by earthbending the microscopic elements in your body. It’s actually how Keyoshi was able to live for 200+ years
@@Vanlifecrisis I suppose that would make sense because there's nobody around to teach it anymore. So she had to learn on her own. But probably didn't get it 💯 percent right resulting in her still looking old while staying fit.
I like this idea. I also love the possibility of teaching water benders techniques of blood bending for the sole purpose of non-invasive surgeries. Like sure, many things could be healed with the usual water techniques, but should a person develop a tumor or should there be complications while giving birth or some similar event, doesn't it make sense to use the blood to create tiny ice blades, cut the tissue in question from within without damagung any other area, then passing it out by let's say moving it (via blood bending by literally grabbing the chunk of tissue) out by passing it in stool or something, or assisting in the birth by literally dragging the baby out from the uterus? I can see the modern era Avatar world having stuff like bloodbending and bonebending medical licenses.
Honestly one of the best ways to see how this plays out even if a different system is from the Codex Alera series, and it's Furie crafting. Water Crafters and Water Benders have so much in common in abilities and how they work.
It would be easier to just control bleeding and blood flow. Of course, they’d have to have a modern level of medical understanding to know what helps and what doesn’t.
lol and how exactly what they see the shape of the tumor? Or what needs to be cut? Or what parts shouldn’t be cut? They might be able to visualize the element inside the body. But they can’t visualize all the other parts.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the line "are you telling me you can't feel metal inside your own body?" Toph 1000% understood the calcium in her bones and would have applied bonebending to mend them.
just because she could feel the metal that was inside her (in pretty high concentration) does not mean that she could feel the metallical element of calcium in her bones (wich exists in a pretty low concentration).
Now I wonder if bone bending could also be used similar to force crush where an earth bender could sense the calcium in another body and then force it in on itself
@@Destroyer-p4r yeah, but in extremely low density so it shouldn't be bendable. If we don't consider this, then water benders would be able to bend almost anything, considering water is literally almost everywhere as a molecule.
You're right-I don't see water being able to heal broken big bones like a spine or a broken arm, but you might be able to with bone-bending. But it should be used by professional healers only, considering if it isn't used right, it could be very painful.
@@astrouphel water could I guess but be much slower as bones dont have that much water vs other tissue like organs and skin. Bonebending could be better in this case.
I'm pretty sure the reason Toph was so spry in her old age compared to Korra was because 1: Korra still had residual mercury poisoning, and 2: people in Avatar age with a lot of grace. Bumi was over 100 and he was incredibly spry, and there was Monk Gyatso's friend who was pushing 150 thanks to his diet of banana onion juice.
Not to mention Gyatso himself was friends with Roku. There was probably only about a 10 year gap between the two, so I'd say Gyatso looked good for a man nearing his 90s
Toph: "I opened up a police department, and now am overseeing the populace so that no one breaks the rules" Also Toph: "Forbidden arts? I ain't Katara"
Waterbenders can Bloodbend. Earthbenders can Bonebend. Airbenders can probably Breathbend. Firebenders? Well, they can craft electricity, right? Brainbending. Neurological synapses bended just the right way to affect the brain. 4 very terrifying b's
Earth benders can’t bend organic compounds such as calcium carbonate, airbenders can bend the air to a certain extent as we have seen, and no fire benders can only craft lighting from their finger tips they can’t manipulate it after it has been fired and they especially can’t control the impulses in the brain, because they have no control there and they don’t have any control on the chemical side either
i’d go on a limb an say that fire benders..master fire benders can Heat bend..remember sozin an roku an the volcano.. they were legit removing the heat from molten magma an lava instantly.. you remove the heat from a human an they’re finished!
well, fire it's already terrifying by itself. that's why we have firefighters and not waterfighters, earthfighters, and airfighters. the idea of using fire during a fight it's already to make your opponent burn alive.
4:43 Spiritual Earthbenders seem to have a thing for long lives; Avatar Kyoshi lived to over 400 years, and Toph is still in her prime. I would LOVE To see toph teach the next avatar how to REALLY earthbend. Imagine her hobbling out of the swamps with a Meteoric Iron Cane, only to wipe the floor with a THIRD avatar.
She isn't in her prime though. She said how she could barely pull off the feats that she did that her back almost gave out and this is why her and katara leave the new events to the new generation.
@@ashaf3561 hmm i wonder if her and katara could actually heal some of the damages caused by age, both with toph applying metal and bone bending, and katara applying waterbedning healing, and blood bending... if they acheived a harmony (yes, i know, i'm talking about toph and katara, but i'm sure they can work it out) they could in theory extend their lives yet further
@@firepuppies4086 yea, that’s what they do, they drink lots of milk and/or eat high-calcium foods, then use bone-bending to move that calcium to their bones, it was explained in another guy’s video, bone-bending was only ever in the comics, if I’m remembering right
They could take calcium from one area and move it to another the way stags grow their antlers only faster, so some bones would be weakened while others strengthened. On a longer timescale, they could just eat chalk and build up their total calcium, hardening their bones and teeth. They’d have to be careful because excess calcium can give you kidney stones, and they might not realize the reason for their pain was a stone.
Next, the forbidden fire subset, using lightning bending to control the neurons in someones brain. When used on yourself you could increase your thought capacity, when using it on someone else, you could quite literally make them unable to think. Edit: or cause a seisure. Edit 2: Guys this was a joke. I don't actually think this is possible.
It wouldn’t even be possible, water benders need a full moon to boost their bending and it takes a prodigy water bender. Not to mention blood is nearly 100% water and it still takes so many requirements to make blood bending work. Or for air suffocation, every time it was used, it was against someone who’s couldn’t fight back. The Earth queen was a frail older woman who couldn’t bend and Korra was being poisoned and had been beaten down. All these other bending styles like bone bending and electrical manipulation wouldn’t happen.
@@boshlovely2002 1. My comment was a joke. 2. Blood bending does always require a full moon (3 known blood benders can do it with out one) 3. The rest of those requirements can be met to use bone bending and brain bending (just to keep the bs)
@@skipper8745 1. Fair enough 2. All 3 of those blood benders are biologically related to each other, we have no clue if they’re genetically inclined to blood bending or if it is something that just doesn’t need the moon 3. Blood is nearly 100% water, nothing else in the human body comes even close to being made that purely of any other element so it just wouldn’t work
I was wondering - when Aang learns to open his chakras, guru teaches him about seven chakras - four for Water, Earth, Fire and Air and also chakras of Sound, Light and Mind. Can it mean, that there's theoretically possible to have soundbendind, lightbending and mindbending, but for some reason nobody did
@@jja1232 it would require way too accurate manipulations. Seeing how hard it is to bloodbend, even though there's plenty of water in the human body. Also since Avatar franchise has spirits and all that stuff, people probably have soul instead of our-type nervous system
bro like what i don't that's what it is like those are just some chakra like it means what it means like opening the mind charkra means clearing your mind or having peace of mind and like sound is about listening to your surroundings and stuff and light's meaning is really hard to put in words and like have you seen any of those chinese body chakra thing it's like those
@@Canlass I know, but in Avatar bending is connected with all this spiritual stuff, so it won't be surprising. Also, since all bending was derived from energy bending, and energy is literally everywhere, technically one can be everything bender
What if fire benders had a forbidden form where they could take the body warmth from you? And what would happen if an avatar learned all these forms like bloodbending and bone bending ect
Technically the water benders should be able to do that since they could change the states of water, but with fire I think maybe using the electricity bending to control nerve signals
I mean Sozin kinda did control heat from the volcano to temporarily stop it before leaving Ruko to die so maybe it is possible and since Fire must come from breathe (as Uncle Iroh say) and muscle (which leaves Zuko tiring himself during his early training), i dare say it is possible. When we breathe it's warm so imagine a firebender suddenly enhances said warmth, maybe it can cause the body temperature rise so high in short amount of time, might cause heat stroke? Or they can "remove" the heat from the body
I just thought of something, instead of snapping someone's bones probably making enemies, you could pop someone's bones like a chiropractor ceasing pain and maybe making some Friends
I wouldn't be surprised. Earth bending was based off of Hung Gar style kung fu apparently, and apparently bonesetting techniques (think ancient Chinese chiropractic) were taught to members of that clan. Some were even famous for their healing skills.
"How is she in such good shape for her age? She must be a bone bender of course." With a remark like that I'm literally questioning if you have ever even watched this show. OP old people is even a staple of the show easily even if you only include the living.
This exactly Benders in general seem to live longer lives but earth benders in particular just have better vitality because of the way they live, Toph, Bumi, Kiyoshi all are natural earth benders and have long lives because of the inherent lifestyle that comes with being an earth bender not because they “bone bend” Not to mention bone bending just isn’t possible, blood bending only works because the human body is basically almost completely water but then the water benders need the full moon to boost their bending ability to make it work and ofc only prodigious water benders can actually do it. Which means bone bending can’t exist because 1. Calcium is basically nonexistent in our bodies compared to water 2. Earth benders don’t have a way to power up their bending like water benders can I’m 100% this guy nvr watched the show and just profits off baseless theories
In theory, earth bends and air nomads could blood bend to a certain extent, they could manipulate the iron/oxygen in the blood. I’d assume it wouldn’t be as effect a water benders ability to bloodbend bc of the percentage of water in a human body, but none the ness, would still have devastating results.
why yall seem to confuse oxygen and air Oxygen is a pure element while air consists of a combination of several elements. Air comprises a mixture of several gases present in the atmosphere and oxygen is termed as one of the essential components present in the air but oxygen although generically called air does not contain air.
Oh my god some people just dont get it OXYGEN IS DIFFERENT THAN AIR (kind of) ALSO EARTHBENDERS CANT BEND PURE IRON THEY ONLY REASON THEY BEND METAL IS CAUSE IT HAS EARTH
One, I don't think King Bumi actually bone bended. I think he was acting as a hunchback to fool Aang as we never see him hunchback again. 2, Kyoshi lived so long to make up for the previous Avatar's short life span. So you are wrong on both accounts.
@@en4833 how are they wrong on both accounts? you cant say their wrong from what you "think" without providing actual evidence. and you didnt provide evidence on why kyoshi didnt invent glass bending
@@en4833 Kyoshi actually learned an earthbending substyle similar (but advanced) to the bonebending described here to live so long as taught to her by Lao Ge. Excerpt from the wiki: As aging was the result of the body deteriorating on "the smallest, most invisible levels" without repairing this damage, Lao Ge taught her that one could stop this process by keeping an inventory of one's parts and putting all things which had fallen out of order back into their places. Doing so would allow Kyoshi to reconstruct her body over and over again, allowing her to retain one particular appearance for centuries. Basically she's using earthbending to put her body back to it's original place. It's the ultimate expression of earthbender stubbornness... being too stubborn to die.
@@racingflash6292 or how about not heat, but electric impulses in the brain and nerves? Considering that the fire benders can master lightning, I would consider that a possibility
The closest things to this in the real world would be Shaolin training, iron arm/leg/shirt training, as well as in modern day the use of supplements. Beyond that I would say much like how Quin Na is the real world martial art equivalent to blood bending, perhaps just like how fire benders copied the motions of water benders use of Tai Chi to create lightning bending, which I honestly assume is Wing Chun. But bone bending might be something like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu
Am I wrong, or is it already cannon? That's literally how Avatar Kyoshi lived to ~230, by strengthening her body with earth bending when it started to fall apart (due to age).
I’m fairly sure in the Kyoshi novels it references it, although I believe it’s referenced as fleshbending. So there is a possibility it’s the same thing.
Let's think about the firebending, they technically can control even the lightning, so what If they could even control the electrical impulse from the brain?
Sh#t. That means all The elements have a deadly bending technique. (Thank Goddess the fire nation didn't know about this stuff during the hundred year war.)
Great theory! However, due to the way fire benders use the lightning technique, it more likely one would use it to to force deadly seizures by unbalancing the electrons in ones brain causing an "electron storm"in your victims nerve system. Or it could just fry the person from the inside like a Human tazer or an Electric chair, these theories work best if one uses the lightning technique while the oppnent is in close contact with the fire bender.
It's worth mentioning that kimimaru was dying due a sickness related to his abilities and most likely Orochimarus experimentation were probably doing more harm than good. "Bonebending" would be more like gaara ripping the minerals out of someones body for use in a foul smelling gourd. Toph absolutely could have been using this skill or something very close to it, given her use of bending to assist with the day to day already.
You forgot to mention how Bumi in the beginning of The Last Airbender mysteriously grew taller for his battle with Ang, and we heard a bunch of cracks and pops in his spine. There is no reasonable explanation for this other than bone bending.
Lol yeah, it’s not like he was pretending to be feeble, by hunching his back and hiding his muscles. Or did you forget that he also “grew” muscles, in the same way that you claim he “grew” height. All he did was stand up straight
i wish they would do a darker avatar series that introduced all of these darker bending elements for use of torture, bring in a huge all out war between the nations again
I think this is a really cool idea, like a avatar who was trying their hardest to be good but is persuaded by their enemies. Or an avatar who was raised by the bad guys and has to learn how to be morally good. It might change the lore so it’ll be quite difficult but as long as they don’t do that and they don’t nerf or op characters and have good storytelling then I’d be fine with it.
@@ningmushii not necisarrilly that, but just a darker series, a new war where we see a ton of benders using more tortuing bending arts, we see more evil bending styles that are supposed to be outlawed like bloodbending.
@@autograph415 It wouldn't surprise me if the SWT had a small but elite bloodbending special forces unit by LOK. And if the Avatar of that time decides they have to learn and use all four of these techniques....
Imagine this but to the extent earth benders could utilize entire skeletons. Mixed in with a bit of spiritual activity (similar to spirit bending with water bending) earth benders could reanimate skeletons to do their bidding.
If an earthbender would master bonebending, it would be an incredibly effective way to heal bone injuries. Just imagine someone being able to bring broken bones perfectly back into their original position and fibrating the molecules within the bones so that the separated parts would instantly form one strong bone again. I wonder if waterbenders can heal bone injuries like that.
Waterbenders: They can strip the fluid and electrolytes from your body without you knowing cause no you to progressively die and your skin to fall right off your bones. Earthbenders: Imagine all your bones being ripped out of your body Final Destination style. Airbenders: Immediate lung collapsement and stripping the body of Oxygen. Firebenders: They can disrupt the electrical conduction of the heart, immediately killing you in seconds.
Theory: lava bending is true that is a sub element of earth bending but the way sozin can manipulate lava into rock because firebenders can control the temperature of the lave and take it awat making it rock and lavabenders can do it because they have the ability to change the lava into earth so technically a firebender can turn earth into lava but the only one who could have done this was azula since her firebending was 1000° hotter than normal fire , the way she would probably do is focusing her chi in the ground so can can turn into lava
So heat bending then?? DUUDDEE that would be such a big thing. Imagine being able to control heat. You could change the state of others elements of proficient enough. You could add or take away heat from someone body. I think this has much more potential than just changing tock into lava.
@@evilhutdug4665 that's fair but I think when the lion turtle that gave wan his fire/heat bending the turtle said something along the lines of "gift of fire" or some shit like that. Would be so cool if you could have such great control over heat to lower peoples' body temperature.
Water benders can already change the temp/state if water. Im also not convinced that Azula’s blue flame was because of temperature. Flame color demonstrated by the dragons in S3 was a plethora of colors independent of flame temperature. Meaning any color of light could be produced with fire bending. Which might make it closer to being able to produce illusions.

Hear me out: Water bending used to dehydrate food. The Water tribes live in very cold areas which would limit the amount of exotic foods they could regularly consume, so an industry could be made which dehydrated fruits for sake of preservation and then imported them to the Water Tribes. Benders could then rehydrate the food whenever they wished to consume it. Stonks 📈

There is actually some support for this on The Rise of Kyoshi. Lao Ge/Tieguai the immortal. He told Kyoshi the secret to his immortality was to keep 'order' in one's body, which implied organizing small pieces of his body to repair damage. Although this could be achieved through meditation, it could also imply some high level of earthbending, considering Kyoshi lived for 230 years!
The idea of bone benders making bones come out of there body does not work. Kimimaro had a Kekkei genkai, there body was developed to accommodate the removal of bones and closing the holes it would make. And same with Wolverine the bones are a mutation, so his healing factor would keep him from bleeding out when he popped them by healing. That’s why when he lost his healing factor he couldn’t pop his claws anymore. Because a bone bender couldn’t seal there skin or the hole it made they would either bleed out or get an infection or some other medical issue. That power must come with regeneration or healing or it does not work without the risk of injury or blood loss or worse. The teeth thing works because teeth are exposed. We don’t have exposed bones so self bone bending does has some limits to it.

I dont think bone bending would be more deadly than any other form of bending. In a serious fight it would come down to who can strike to kill the other fastest while controlling their body’s own base elements better than the opponent could command them.
@@tonyaleccia3867 I was thinking that, but in regards to who could strike faster, you would probably have to charge the ability up a long time before using it.
Do you mean that Amon, for example, instead of being a waterbender, will be an earthbender? Perhaps logically, this would mean that Amon would be more dangerous, imagining that he would break the bones of his victims
I wanted to see which one would be more powerful, Bonebending or Bloodbending: QUICK NOTE: My definition of "powerful" in this case is which one can you access easily, and what can you do with it If you were to use Bonebending, it wouldn't be as powerful as Bloodbending, since bones aren't everywhere in the body and not everything can have bones to bend, and not everything has blood to bend, but it would be more useful if you just want to throw someone away, stop them so they don't do something (pushing them away or kind of holding them in place) which is usually why someone would use Bonebending or Bloodbending. Bloodbending makes you do more specific things. But you can only Bloodbend if there is a full moon, unless you're Yakone or one of Yakone's children, whereas Bonebending, you can do it whenever. There are more Earthbenders than Waterbenders (assumed from the map shown at the beginning) so there would probably be more Earthbenders that may know how to Bonebend than Waterbenders that know how to Bloodbend. In my conclusion, I think Bonebending is more powerful than Bloodbending because you can access it whenever, but Bloodbending can make you powerful (which I'm assuming someone will do on a full moon) which will make the Waterbender very powerful. If there is anything wrong, please tell me lol!
I think this implies a fire bender controls heat, while we know that a fire bender uses their own chi to produce fire. We have also seen them redirecting certain energies such as lightning and volcanic heat. So make somebody combust? No, they aren't able to manipulate someone's chi in order to heat them up to combust, but they COULD theoretically freeze them to death by redirecting their body heat, or even electrical current in the brain. Those would be sweet fire bender assassination moves
They could use lightning bending to control the neural signals in one’s body producing hallucinations, complex illusions, or control the body of someone in a similar way to bloodbending
Actually you should have mentioned King Boomie Angs genius friend from the past who most defiantly must have re-discovered bone bending because at his age (over 100) he still can take on a fully powered Avatar
Brainbending to go with bloodbending, breath bending and bonebending. It makes sense that each of the bending arts would have a subset designed to control and weaponize other human beings.
it does seem like, again, the wielder is the determination of ill or good intent. I imagine that blood and bone bending could be used to for healing purposes, and drawing air out of someone's lungs, could also theorize they could force an airflow through the individual ensuring they get steady oxygen.
Can Firebenders bend light? Like shoot lasers, bend the light around themselves to become invisible, create plasma from concentrated sources of fuel, etc? Could be neat. We already got forehead boom boom man
Light is energy fire benders make matter out of their chi not energy. So bending light wouldn’t be possible, same with lasers, also the only form of plasma they can create is lightning
@@neofelisnebulosa3871 idk, I know that’s where they THINK their bending comes from. This is basically a culture in the late medieval age and they would have no idea of understanding the science behind their bending. I’ll explain my hypothesis quickly with a few examples provided by the show: 1: Firebenders have next to no power, if any at all, during the night. During the day, or when the light is at its brightest, their fire bending is at its most powerful. 2: Boom-boom man shot lasers out of his forehead, suggesting that Firebenders, can, in fact, bend light (to an extent). 3: waterbenders seem to be the counter to this, as their bending appears to come from the darkness. The darker it is, the more powerful their bending. I know the moon has something to do with it, which may also suggest that their power may have something to do with magnetic forces (think tides during different stages of the moon in coastal areas). 4: Sozan’s comet put off a lot of light (or ultra-violet radiation) directly into earths atmosphere. This could explain the spike in the power of the Firebenders at the end of season 3. Idk, I just think science is a cool way to explain magical powers and it’d be neat (to me, at least) if it was correct.
if bonebending where a thing, it would require massive amounts of skill and concentration. bloodbending is bending something that is basically water, and requires a full moon and a master waterbender. the amount of what can be considered "earth" in our bones is so miniscule that it would either take so much mastery/concentration its impossible, or its so miniscule that it would have no effect.
I bet if Bone Bending wasn't forgotten and Lava Bending was a thing around the time Aang was born the Fire Nation would have a much more harder time during the 100 years war.
So Thermal Bending = Used by Iroh in S1 to heat water and metal. Heat is a form of Light (Infrared Radiation) Light Bending : In S3 the dragons display fire bending has the ability to display different colors of flame independent of temperature. Mixing both of those it doesnt seem far fetched that light bending would be a feasible subset of fire bending.
If you rewatch the sequence you can see and hear his bones popping as he his "powering" up. I understand that he was faking being frail but he was definitely using his bending fix his posture.
Now I need to see a series demonstrating the subbending abilities. Someone going full wolverine. Just imagine gravitybending; supersonic airbending or even teleportation
I dont think this will ever be confirmed, because thats too op, its like if Hama, but with no limits when to use the art( Basicly Amon, Tarlok and Yakone). But its a really cool theory.
I bet Firebending could have body heat bending. It would be like a double edged sword. The firebender would be able to take away the person’s body heat causing them to freeze to death and die from hypothermia or perhaps raise their body heat giving the person hyperthermia. Or they would be able to raise or lower a person’s body heat in order to help that person have a regular body temperature.
Earth bending is so OP. Immortal life span, you could find tectonic plates and quite literally cause earthquakes by slightly shifting the earth where the plates are colliding, armored bones. Imagine the avatar mastered metal and lightning, you could magnet bend...
The first person that close to bone-bending is King Bumi. He went from hunchback to a fully grown muscular man in a matter in seconds.
Oh yea forgot that wow
He's crazy so ye'd probs do it only to himself. No one else...
Oh yeah your not wrong that is creepy
That would be more of muscle or tissue than bone

Bone-bending could potentially amount to a form of healing for Earthbenders, like for helping bones/joints heal or re-aligning broken bones from severe fractures.
As earth benders chucking rocks at each ither all the time they pribably need it
what about obsidian bending like if a lava bender fights a air bender and they kool the lava then its obsidian and its still earth and lava but in a frozen state so could they bend it
@@oblivion6891 Lava benders basically have control over the temp of the "earth" materials. You can see that when Zaheer breaks Gazong out of prison.

Poopbending sounds like an incredibly terrifying ability.
It would be easier to just control bleeding and blood flow. Of course, they’d have to have a modern level of medical understanding to know what helps and what doesn’t.

I'm surprised you didn't mention the line "are you telling me you can't feel metal inside your own body?"
Toph 1000% understood the calcium in her bones and would have applied bonebending to mend them.
just because she could feel the metal that was inside her (in pretty high concentration) does not mean that she could feel the metallical element of calcium in her bones (wich exists in a pretty low concentration).

They could take calcium from one area and move it to another the way stags grow their antlers only faster, so some bones would be weakened while others strengthened. Heat bending is probably something firebenders can do
Fire Benders: We are the most powerful , we can mind bend.
Air Benders:We can take your breath away in a second
Benders:We can control someone's body , no we are the most powerful
Earth Benders:(slowly make a dead body walking) What were you all saying again??
honestly tho earth bending is probably the most powerful, not only is there metal bending, lava bending, and bone bending sub techniques but the traditional earth bending can be extremely deadly and strong.
@@mish2637 and my personal favorite, Molten metal bending.
Its combustion bending
@@mish2637 It's true
It is impressive how the only bending who doesn't get affected (along with the air bending) by the sun or the moon has so many forms on each own
It wouldn’t even be possible, water benders need a full moon to boost their bending and it takes a prodigy water bender.
With bone bending everyone is a possible marionette, well everyone without a calcium deficiency.
Well, bloodbending does that too.
who else think cbr needs a discord were everyone talkes about stuff like this and give him ideas for videos
Yep
CBR you better see this comment 👆🏾
Hear me out:
Water bending used to dehydrate food. The Water tribes live in very cold areas which would limit the amount of exotic foods they could regularly consume, so an industry could be made which dehydrated fruits for sake of preservation and then imported them to the Water Tribes. Benders could then rehydrate the food whenever they wished to consume it. Stonks 📈
I had this idea for years and am glad to see someone finally brought it up
Its a nice theory but it would never work minerals and iron in the body doesnt have earth sand or rocks
But after thinking this for some time i came up with a new subbending
The forbidden waterbending technique........ (Hama mode)I felt the full moon enriching me with its energy as i was trying to come up with new ways of waterbending
When a thought occured in my head..if i can bloodbend and control where it goes along with the inner stuff inside the blood itself
Then i understand the new forbidden waterbending subbending called
Cellbending...
Controlling the cells in another body, making them not do their jobs therefore the body not working properly against diseases or just collapsing the body and burst the limbs using the cells...
random dad joke: Zaheer his version of bending is BREATHTAKING
did you know blood bending can destroy organs
a blood bender can literally make the veins in the body pop and kill the opponent
@@thedragonofthewest5789 if a bloodbender wanted to thay could freeze the opponents blood we have seen katara freeze water so she could freeze the water in the blood stopping the body immediately and death because body temperature will drop to zero and organs will get destroyed as long as bones
@@avatarsokka5646 yeah
@@avatarsokka5646 well yeah and it would expand and you would literally explode
@@avatarsokka5646 SPOILER ALERT That actually happens in the novel The Shadow of Kyoshi!
Probably how bumi lived so long and in great shape.

What would happen if an Earth bender or the Avatar used to be this bending against the powerful foe as a last resort?
they cant becuse the bending style is not canon
@@Progamerr_06 it's not cannon( at least not yet) but it is possible
I dont think bone bending would be more deadly than any other form of bending. In a serious fight it would come down to who can strike to kill the other fastest while controlling their body’s own base elements better than the opponent could command them.
@@tonyaleccia3867 I was thinking that, but in regards to who could strike faster, you would probably have to charge the ability up a long time before using it.
But if there was something like bone bending i think it would have been made illegal kinda like blood bending in Korra
Do you mean that Amon, for example, instead of being a waterbender, will be an earthbender? Perhaps logically, this would mean that Amon would be more dangerous, imagining that he would break the bones of his victims
nobody remembers that when bumi "transforms" into his big form he uses bone bending on himself
I wanted to see which one would be more powerful, Bonebending or Bloodbending:
QUICK NOTE: My definition of "powerful" in this case is which one can you access easily, and what can you do with it
If you were to use Bonebending, it wouldn't be as powerful as Bloodbending, since bones aren't everywhere in the body and not everything can have bones to bend, and not everything has blood to bend, but it would be more useful if you just want to throw someone away, stop them so they don't do something (pushing them away or kind of holding them in place) which is usually why someone would use Bonebending or Bloodbending.
I'd imagine a villain using bone bending would be legit and awesome. If toph fights a villain like this that be a good fight
Each element's forbiden bending:
Water : blood bending
Air : oxygen bending
Earth : bond bending
Fire : calories bending?
Hint to what fire could be- lightning bending exists, how could it be refined?
can earthbenders bend gravity
can airbenders bend gravity
can avatar give non bending bending power with energybending
@@rashadel2005 Gravity has to do with Earth's mass, so in theory it would be an Earth Bender that could do so.
Does a fire bender can literally make a person conbust using the victim's own body heat?
Woah, to be honest I think that would work
I think this implies a fire bender controls heat, while we know that a fire bender uses their own chi to produce fire.
Okay that's scary
Probably. If you can control bodily fluids, skeletons, or the air in their lungs, you can probably do body heat or electrical signals.
The first time we see Toph was in the foggy swamp as a vision. Kind of poetic that that's where she decided to settle down, almost fateful.
Earthbending and waterbending complements each other and you cannot change my mind.
Actually you should have mentioned King Boomie Angs genius friend from the past who most defiantly must have re-discovered bone bending because at his age (over 100) he still can take on a fully powered Avatar
at the time aang only knew air bending
What about lightning bending attacking the nervous system? This would give every element a terrifying subskill specific to the human body.
Oh true...the electric neurons in our bodies.
Yeah, if done right it could bd literal hypnotism
Brainbending to go with bloodbending, breath bending and bonebending.
It makes sense that each of the bending arts would have a subset designed to control and weaponize other human beings.
So we got bone bending, blood bending and breath bending? The Avatar seems like a scary opponent.
it does seem like, again, the wielder is the determination of ill or good intent.
I’ll explain my hypothesis quickly with a few examples provided by the show:
1: Firebenders have next to no power, if any at all, during the night.
Bones are mostly Calcium so I assume need metal bending power.
i literally laughed on the war hammer titan mention

How-
Earth - Bone Bending
Water - Blood Bending
Air - Breath Bending
Fire - Nervous System Bending???
if bonebending where a thing, it would require massive amounts of skill and concentration. bloodbending is bending something that is basically water, and requires a full moon and a master waterbender. the amount of what can be considered "earth" in our bones is so miniscule that it would either take so much mastery/concentration its impossible, or its so miniscule that it would have no effect.
I bet if Bone Bending wasn't forgotten and Lava Bending was a thing around the time Aang was born the Fire Nation would have a much more harder time during the 100 years war.
Sokka screaming is a forbidden

What about shadow bending

@@dekuavatar8777 sounds interesting indeed
Kimimaro is kind of a freak tho
So Thermal Bending = Used by Iroh in S1 to heat water and metal. Heat is a form of Light (Infrared Radiation)
Light Bending : In S3 the dragons display fire bending has the ability to display different colors of flame independent of temperature.
Mixing both of those it doesnt seem far fetched that light bending would be a feasible subset of fire bending.
Don't forget about King Boomy** when he fought Aang in Omashu when he straightened out his posture.
no he did not he was acting week so aang will chose him
If you rewatch the sequence you can see and hear his bones popping as he his "powering" up. I understand that he was faking being frail but he was definitely using his bending fix his posture.

Bumi obviously used bone bending when he and Aang fought
Now I need to see a series demonstrating the subbending abilities. Someone going full wolverine.
Just imagine gravitybending; supersonic airbending or even teleportation
I dont think this will ever be confirmed, because thats too op, its like if Hama, but with no limits when to use the art( Basicly Amon, Tarlok and Yakone). But its a really cool theory.
We can now call anyone with bone bending sans

With the new Avatar Studios they could make a multi-verse that shows remained timeline for each Avatar life/era.
Easy... she would have had Raava extracted and Vaatu put inside her to create the Dark Avatar
So, this is basically some Avatar-Naruto fanfiction smh...
Yes lol
Cabbage bending? HAHAHAHA!!!! that's some funny shit man LOL
Hyperthermia seems easy. Just set them on fire
Earth bending is so OP. Immortal life span, you could find tectonic plates and quite literally cause earthquakes by slightly shifting the earth where the plates are colliding, armored bones. Imagine the avatar mastered metal and lightning, you could magnet bend...
