    Oh my god, finally some advanced production tips for more experienced producers. Not only that, but phasing is literally one of the biggest problems I've had in Serum while making reeses, it just didn't occur to me that it could've been phasing. In hindsight it seems so obvious, great vid man!

    Man this channel is next level quality
    Even just the small things you learn that aren't the focus of the video make such a difference
    E.g. one of your previous videos I saw you use utility on a return channel with the gain -infinity and then brought it up where needed, which is such a simple thing but it just makes sense to do it that way

  • @wskeal86

    You don't need to "Remove fundamental" function for that purprose.
    Cuz you just can add sub OSC that is 1 oct below your other 2 oscs. So your fundamental freq of bass would not be phased (since it's not detuned)

      This reese still have stereo info on the low end, just not at fundamental (say 50 Hz, depends on note you are playing). You can introduce more width by sending more to return channel and decreasing the low cut there but I think it is a bit unnecessarry.

    I’ve seen folks reduce or eq out the fundamental and put subs into mono but never fully remove. If using a clean sub underneath and using high pass on Reese seems like a non issue. Am I missing something?

    • @jadeblades
      @jadeblades 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      if you wanna play rather high notes/low notes your fundamental will end up getting not removed or actual harmonics will get removed- you can automate this but this can be annoying and will sound weird if quickly going between low and high notes. another issue is that the eq isn't ever gonna fully remove the fundamental & can create more phasing issues. fully removing the fundamental and adding a sub is just cleaner, and for most purposes easier. however im not the music police, feel free to continue doing stuff one way or another

    • @petervogl9072
      @petervogl9072 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @hearmenow909
