- 'You Will Survive Doomsday' is a short documentary film that I directed and shot, featuring Bruce Beach and the underground nuclear fallout shelter that he constructed out of forty-two school buses buried under twelve feet of concrete and earth.
The film is a portrait of Bruce that explores his unconventional journey and the reasons behind it.
I'm in the process of moving my short films from Vimeo over to my TH-cam channel and I wanted to start with this one.

This is is sensational. A wonderful way to paint a portrait of an individual living a life some may consider unconventional.

I’ve been coming back to watch this gem every once in a while ever since I found it sometime last year. This film is an absolute masterpiece, Kyle. Bruce’s story is mesmerising, and your presentation has done it perfect justice. Would love to see more of your documentary work.

Emotionally I'm left with a spectre of sadness as I watched this, and perhaps a part of that is having a childhood that was entombed in the late 60's a 70's. You see, the Cuban missile crises was still fresh in my parents mind, and their decision to move to Canada instead of the US had a lot to do with that very thought....of what if. Its poignant that we each look into our past in order to understand the journey we are each on. Kyle .... just thanks man. Be well, stay safe.

100%! Bruce's lesson can only be learned via the intellectual honesty and humility he was unashamed to live by. We are all "chewing the chewed", and looking for shelter in a treacherous realm. Fortunately, this place is NOT our home. We will not find shelter here. I wish this was a longer video, so much can be learned from a man like Bruce.
