So I’m British and I grew up saying “Wooster” sauce, HOWEVER I’m almost positive people from Worcestershire pronounce it “Wooster-sheer”. There is a city is England called Worcester (pronounced Wooster) which is in Worcestershire (Wooster-sheer) and I think there’s some level of confusion in England due to that. We have a similar confusion with a cheese, Gloucester cheese, where it’ll get called both Gloucester (gloster) and Gloucestershire (gloster-sheer).
My husband (American) calls it “whore-sauce”. Can’t take him anywhere!

And I always thought that -shire ending was pronounced with a long i ShYre, not long e sound ShEEr

I live in the OG Worcestershire, in England. The original Lea & Perrins factory is just around the corner from my house, so I can CATEGORICALLY say... it’s pronounced “Woostah-sheer” sauce! But I looooove all the variations you Yankees come up with. 🤣

I absolutely am in love with the channel. It’s so funny because in my head I thought “I wonder how the nuggets were” and then editing Christine came through and said “10 out of 10 would not recommend” and now I can’t stop laughing 😂
Thanks for the video! Hot freezer organizing tip if you have an Echo Dot or similar device. It's been a game changer for me and has resulted in less food waste.
1) "Alexa, make a list called freezer."
2) Empty the freezer and as you re-fill it tell Alexa what you're adding. "Alexa, add broccoli to my freezer list." "Alexa add two pounds of beef stew meat to my freezer list."
3) You guessed it! Whenever you remove something let Alexa know. "Alexa, remove peas from my freezer list" etc.
4) Now, when you pull up your lists on the Alexa app on your phone, you have running inventory of what's in the freezer.
You can also use this technique for the pantry. And, of course, for your grocery list. For example after I tell Alexa to "remove peas from freezer list" I then tell her to "add frozen peas to grocery list."
Wow. The efficiency!
Alexa is my fave! Great idea. She already wakes me up, puts me to sleep, and generally keeps track of my life. Oh, she also entertains me with music and podcasts!

To do it and finally decided on this method using Siri. Have I done it yet? No. Am I officially inspired now? Yes.
Alexa is also hery great at transferring all the things it hears over to our overlords to sell us like a product we are.
When you took out the green beans, looked at the date and said "They'll be fine!" I was like, yes, that's my Christine! We don't waste food around here!
My mom made a similar beef stroganoff all the time when I was growing up. You don't need meatballs, you can just use ground beef. Saute the meat with an onion, break it up a little, and then do basically the same thing you did with your recipe. So good!
I've also seen people use leftover roast beef too!
Now, where in my freezer is the roast beef...
Seeing those "well browned" sides on the meatballs made my heart sing! That's flavor folks... what do you mean, "burnt?"
I thought I was the only person that looks at expiration dates and says, "it will be fine" LOL
I ignore them, 99% of the time. If it smells good, tastes good, isn't moving away from me, I'll serve it.

Try doing the same thing with browned hamburger and onion if you don't like freezer meatballs. It's delicious!

I love a full freezer. I also love looking through my freezer and know I have meals for the hard days to come. Or just the days I am lazy and can pull out a prepped by me freezer meal.
I'm new here and I LOVE how real you are. Your commentary is exactly the same as my internal dialog when I'm trying to throw together dinner at 4:55pm.
I have a 65 year old le Creuset dutch oven and it's still the BEST thing I have in my kitchen, we use it 2-3 times a week

Random tip: If you wrap your celery in plastic wrap then foil it will last so long! Like at least a month. We aren’t big celery eaters so I know I’ll be checking my fridge and be like “ oh yeah, celery!” Open it up and it’s perfect! The same tip works well with iceberg lettuce as well!
You can freeze it for veg stock too!
You can alao cut off the bottom like you do with flowers and put it in some water! Keeps it crisp or brings back the crisp.
TH-camLoser I usually spin out frozen veggies in a salad spinner. It helps with the watery-ness

The Lodge brand pots are a very good quality substitute for a Le Creuset - I paid significantly less than $100 for one the same size, i think about $70 on Amazon!

Here in Brasil, the worcestershire sauce is called "molho inglês" or english sauce... I think It is easier HAHAHAHAHA
😊In Denmark we have "engelsk sovs" - english sauce, but we also have Worcestershire sauce and they are not the same. Today I call it voi -ste -sje. Tomorrow something else 😂. Stay safe

A good olive oil has to be in a dark bottle and has to say on the label something about the process of how it was made, for example "cold pressed" which is the 1st step in preparation. :)))

My freezers are full and I’m sitting here looking at sale ads. The deals are just too good to let go by.
Sales are tempting. However if you can shop from your freezer for one meal a week you could put the money not spent (say £/$5 ) in a savings account. I do this and then use the “savings” to buy the Christmas food shop? Just an idea?
