One of the best tutorials I’ve seen yet!You speak very well and you articulate instructions with an ease that makes the listener feel as though they’re right next to you.I’ve watched many and you definitely have earned a fan!!Looking forward to more!!

You should think about using a solvent to blend the first layer or two as this would eliminate the grain of the paper that still shows up after all the layers you put put on and would give your work more of painterly look .

Daniel Okoruwe thank you! I did a similar video with tan skin and it was the entire face but I plan on making more videos with faces and incorporating body figures. Thanks for the suggestion!👌

I have Prismacolor, Brutfuener, & Black Widow colored pencils. I don't think I have the exact named colors as you do though, so what would you suggest?

Thank you! I've never searched for a tutorial before, but my dark-skinned models ended up looking so embarrasingly horrendous I had to humble myself. An amateur can get away with so much BS and laziness with light skin tones, but not with dark ones.

Do you use reference photos for portraits and skin or just your imagination?

Faith P I kinda use a reference for the outline most of the time but end up doing my own thing for the shading

Hi, enjoyed your video. I would like to see your coloring on white paper since I color in coloring books. Also that ochre color you mention that it may not be in (my set) so what color is close to it? I take it that you have and older version of Prismacolor pencils . I have Prismacolor pencils . Thanks for responding.
