If you think the Tories would treat unwell people properly were it not for a major European invasion, well there ain’t much to say except look at before 2022 and 2014.
These disgusting attacks on vulnerable people having been happening long before and independent of any international situation.

So are they going to be monitoring everybody's purchases? That's crazy! Most of us live off our benefits with no other income. This is going to make us (or people like me anyway who suffer from paranoia) scared to death to buy anything in case its not allowed. I'm confusing myself now 😕

As someone who became disabled after being violently attacked, I found it very hard, and all the medical info and horrible face-to-face interviews and being treated like a criminal being asked the same thing over and over again trying to ett me to say something different or trip me up. And then getting the report and feeling like they sent me someone else's report because was so wrong. And now know they say no to everyone the first time and make them appeal and have targets of saying no to 65% of comments a day and get penalized if they don't hit those targets.
I think it is the DWP and the companies that do the interviews and scoring and all that should be done for fraud.
It is very hard to get PIP or any of that and the process is very bad for mental health and the whole press made me more depressed and suicidal. If going through all of that only then end up being investigated could very much passabley push me over the edge.
The fact the government sends millions to other countries and the other people come here and go straight on the jobseekers while blaming long-term sick, disabled, or OAPs for the mess they have made is distressful. The fact they can now look into my bank account and possibly start people about how I spend the money is very worrying.

Those who own a little above hand to mouth or keeping warm are treated with disdain. As some one who died/returned I wish to point out ' there is a post bio demise to face for those who weedle into positions of ego control over others.

Happened to me twice - had to go into hmrc for a visit once to discuss my tax credits after an spot check investigation, turned out i forgot to let them know I'd changed nursery, so when they'd checked in with them they confirmed I'd stopped using them 18 months beforehand - thankfully i paid by DD, so my bank statement showed monthly payments to my new nursery and it was cleared up with a phone callto the new place.
And we've just been through the whole bank account check thing for universal credit - they wanted to talk through a few things and also wanted further statements like PayPal details, then we were passed off as fine.
Both times the people doing the meetings/calls were incredibly polite and friendly.

My spending can be really random depending how my head is so what happens if that gets flagged up?? I have enough problems with suicidal thoughts at the best of times without more layers of BS from the DWP....Department Of Willful Persecution. Apologies, just feeling beaten down atm.

Speaking on appeals, yeah my partner got taken off PIP during an assessment as the interviewer wrote the wrong thing down. They asked my partner ''do you have facebook?'' and then proceeded to write ''spends all day on facebook talking to friends''... my partner never said that. when she received the letter telling her they were removing her PIP, she was so distraught and depressed. She was too depressed to even appeal it. Of course now it's too late but having watched this, i regret having not appealed it now. These are wise words.

I have had to cancel 2 appointment interviews that were made behind my back by some random guy from dwp that I hadn't even met. 1 appointment was made earlier on in December which I couldn't do because I had problems with my smart meter and had an electrician also coming out on that day. The guy then rescheduled appointment for December 23rd which I couldn't do as well. I got told I had been overpaid and they ended up stopping all universal credit payment and housing benefits. I have been told that I will have to pay a lot back though they failed to make me aware of these rules of not being allowed over 6k in savings. Sad thing is that I'm currently having to fix a lot of problems with my home currently and they've literally stopped so much. I kind of regret showing them 4 months bank statements because then they kept asking for more and more and the harassment and stress i've been through has been unreal since the beginning of last November

Question: if the DWP have decent evidence, won’t they just be telling the police?
The problem is of course that the DWP don’t need the legal process to dock benefits, but unless there’s a very obvious mistake on their part, this snooping and intimidation seems like a fishing expedition.
