Yes, the backtrack is louder, in some scenes is obvious. But their real voices (if you hear them) sound more relaxed and tuned
the sound mixing is better this week, the live band wasnt too loud, the lighting improved too. And the dang smoke machine blocking their dance in smart the first week is gone too

Its very noticeable that they reducing their movement slightly when they are singing in the 2nd week. Just compare their head and neck movement, they were high energy in the first week, and that make them move their head a lot, and their footwork were alot quicker and stronger in the first week. In the second week they slowing it by a lot, especially when they are moving while singing. For example like Euncha in the Great mermaid, in the first week she keep singing while moving from the left to far right, but in 2nd week she immediately stop and steps slowly while singing. And the most noticeable is Yunjin, you can clearly see she is calm down in the 2nd week. When its her part she moves slower and no unnecessarily head movement like the first week. So its very reasonable why they doing better this week. Not just because their backtrack louder this week but definitely because they move less than the first week..

It doesn't matter. The people that made the decision to hate will default to the "it was a backtrack defense". Best thing is to run the clock out and wait until they find someone new to hate on. Then next January when a new group is announced at cochella, it'll all start over again.

You could sense in the first week that their mics were not working properly and in order to make their vocals audible properly they had to scream a bit and people accused them for that too. Even in ateez performance their was backtrack. Lipsync is not even allowed in coachella so obviously they didn't do that. Stop hating without noticing the minor things.

i just know people are gonna talk about the BACKTRACK...so let's be real honest here - that was the right level of backtrack for a festival like this. Go listen to Blackpink's performance again and you will clearly hear how loud their backtracks are as well - they just had much better live mixing. The fact that you can clearly hear Le Sserafim still singing despite the louder backtrack means that the sound engineers/mixers found the right mix for this venue/performance.
They improved by lowering the sound of mic and have a louder backtrack. Go watch blackpink shutdown performance you can hear the backtrack wasn't this loud.

Hard to digest fact:
Hybe haters are really going all out now. Through the years, they found it difficult to hate on the performances of hybe groups. Now that hybe have debuted 2 groups with shortcomings, they found their chance to attack. They are now saying that hybe is ruining kpop. They instantly turned a blind eye on the other 8 groups that hybe has because they found the weak link. Funny thing is that these haters mostly came all the way from bts haters and are fans of other companies. Yup these haters aren't multis these are company stans and the shades they are throwing to hybe now, were the criticisms that their faves receive before. C'mon, weren't the "they prioritize visuals" or "lipsync" familiar? Kpop fans have surely heard about this even before the debut of hybe's gg. It's difficult to differentiate criticism from hate in kpop fans. It's all hypocrisy.
They did really good. That was fun and really entertaining, they weren't that bad. It's normal to not be extremely good at live performances when you are dancing too. I enjoyed seeing people having fun. You should too. The girls did a good job when it comes to vibes and this is a music festival 🔥Vibe is EVERYTHING
It is clear that there was a problem with the ear microphone in the first performance. If you can't hear the sound properly, you try to sound louder without realizing it, and your voice becomes hoarse. Because the sound is so loud, the person controlling the audio has to turn the microphone down further. You fall into a vicious cycle. Sometimes, during live performances, experienced singers take the ear microphone out of their ears. If a technical problem like this occurs, it is better to take it all out and not listen, and just follow what you have trained.

They do have talent, they’re not tone deaf but do have some trouble matching their pitches correctly w each other and the song. It’s easier to match pitch when you have people singing it with you (aka in this case, back track). Tbh tho for my taste the backtrack is way too high and doesn’t showcase their vocals as much, but the mixing is def a lot better
Probably because the songs aren't their range too it's hard to sign for them
IMO, as a short review of the improvements made by Le Sserafim in the second week of Coachella performance:
1. FIMMIES and the Band, manage to arrange a slower music tempo to provide more space and time for adjustment and improvisation, especially for the choreography and vocals;
2. They made major changes to the choreography, e.g. SMART dance. Every member will get a chance to take a second break from dancing before the vocal lines they have to deliver. This gives them a headstart breathing. The result was excellent;
3. Simplifying dance movements, focusing only on iconic and most memorable parts in dance challenges that went viral on social media platforms. This saves them some physical strength and reserved energy;
4. The use of ad-libs delivered to the singer's in-ear monitor as vocal guides so that they don't miss any lines and stay on the right pitch.
This was a very SMART strategy. Congratulations to Le Sserafim and the production team. You have made it!
I don't think there's any other group that sang with little to none AR like Le Sserafim during the first week of Coachella which was impressive.The improvements shown here bring it up to more k-pop standard which is good!
tbh they did better than last week even with a little backtrack they still did good even blackpink and ateez had backtrack so it doesn’t matter people just love to hate on le sserafim , they were nervous during week 1 and bc it was there first time performing for something so big they needed to see if the crowd accepted them and all so they were using all their energy by yelling to hype the crowd up but this time they came prepared, so ppl needa chill on them bc at the end of the day there still rookies may 2nd makes them 2 years of being a group they literally debuted a year ago , they don’t deserve the hate the death threats and people saying they should be sexually assaulted that shit is not right at all .
I find it hilarious how people are now criticizing them for a loud backtrack. Like girl show me ONE current k-pop artist that does heavy choreo for a whole show and doesn't rely on a backtrack? All this talk about vocals from every fandom when most 'live' vocals you consume in K-pop these days are pre-recorded and edited anyway. If you think your faves could do better but they're not at Coachella yet, idk send trucks to the company

Week 1 - bad mics, very low backtrack, intense choreo and first time nerves. Haters: “they can’t sing.. they need to practice more”
Week 2: Fixed the mics, more toned down dancing so they can focus on singing, better sound mixing, less nervous, practiced more. Also used backing tracks so they can catch their breath at times. Haters “they are lipcyncing! How can they improve so much in a week?”

I wanna say this, the 1st week for all performances, including the western artists, had a lot of mistakes. What pissed me off the most was that dumbass cameraman who should NEVER hold a camera ever again. Thank God that he was immediately fired after his poor work ethics.

Honest assesment. They used a louder backtrack and lowered the sensitivity on their mics, but you can still hear their voice. Chaewon stopping her singing actually just showed how loud their backtrack was. It still doesn't hide Eunchae's off pitch singing though but kazuha and sakura can safely hide behind the backtrack when it gets tough. Good on Yunjin for finally calming tf down and singing properly, I don't understand why this girl keeps using bad breathing technique in performances (esp tv encores). Still doesn't really change the fact that only chaewon and yunjin are the ones bringing anything to the table. They did good damage control but their reputation is still in shambles. Not a fan so idrc, but uh, congrats on the group for not messing up twice i guess.
I liked the energy on stage 1 but both performances were amazing. So proud of our girlies! Xoxo

at the end of the day, these girls are human beings and the hate train they've experienced has been so insane. i've worried about their mental health, especially with eunchae who is still very young. i'm not saying to coddle them or to even silence criticism against the company's priorities or a performance, but i think there's a very distinctive difference between functional criticism meant to be a catalyst for growth and criticism that's worded as and executed with the intent of cruelty. their second week was a great performance too! they seemed very confident on stage and the crowd was giving them energy back which was showing in how they were performing. each of them sung their hearts out and did their best. the people there who PAID to be there (and not just sit on the internet being hypercritical from the sidelines for free) were having a good time. the crowd was even better the second time.
It is clear that this relentlessness on girls goes far beyond the artistic domain, especially 1 week later if the haters put so much energy into promoting their favorites but admit it, have you become a real fan of LSF? xD❤
And as I pointed out in the first performance, it was too much of a forced march. Trying to perform 10 songs in 40 minutes without stopping and without taking out all the extremely intense choreography is greedy. It's hard work, even for Navy SEALs.
In the second performance, I calmed down my excessive excitement and controlled my movements much more calmly. There was also a break period between the excessively difficult choreography. The microphone setup is also correct. The mixing went well too.
The microphone setup on the first stage was completely wrong. The microphone sound was small and the volume of the instrument session was too loud. It was as if they were put in right away without changing the previous stage sound settings. The first stage sound setting was suitable for heavy metal shouting.
During the first stage, the members on stage were seen to be embarrassed and having a hard time. Their expressions look very uncomfortable, don't they?
Wait, why are we bringing navy seals into this? They risk their lives for us. In my opinion, navy seals training is more tougher than this.

The fact that y'all can't tell the difference between a backtrack and actual vocals is laughable. Like how are you critiquing something you can't even understand? Yes, there is a backtrack. Yes, you can hear a backtrack all performers at Coachella use one. But you can also clearly hear their actual voices as well. There's an obvious split. You can hear the girls' vocals on top of the backtrack. You can even tell where they aren't singing at all. All the low notes in Fearless aren't being sung live but a backtrack. If you notice, they toned down their dancing a lot when they are singing. I don't think y'all know how live performances and everything works. You can hear the split in their actual vocals vs the backtrack. Also, using a backtrack isn't lipsyncing. Please get the terms right. Everyone uses a backtrack. That's still live. If you are lipsyncing you wouldn't have a backtrack or AR because you wouldn't be singing at all. They're still sharp and flat in certain moments with their vocals. The point is they changed part of their routine so they could sound better which is what real performers do. You take the hate and the valid criticism and be better. You figure out how to make yourself better. Y'all just want to hate and don't actually care about improving their performance. (Coming from a Victon stan and not a Le Sserafim fan).
Edit: Also because they only have a week to improve, not dancing or dancing less when it's your part is the smartest move because you can't master both in such a short amount of time so it's understandable that the choice they made was to cut the dancing. I'm not at that choice at all.

The backtrack was super loud, it wasn't that loud in their first performance. Why was it so loud now? Because they decided to hide their real vocals this time around. It is very clear that they actually didn't improve, if they did, they wouldn't need such a loud backtrack.

I even said that it's impossible to improve astronomically in a week so it makes sense that they focused on vocals by not dancing or not dancing as intensely. If you can still hear someone's voice over the backtrack then they aren't hiding anything. If they were hiding then they would just lipsync or wouldn't have their mics go louder than the backtrack. But they have no problem with that so it isn't hiding. The girls took the valid criticism along with the unnecessary hate and delivered a better performance. It isn't perfect and impossible to be perfect in only a week but they delivered a fantastic show for Week 2 of Coachella.

im honestly surprised they went the first week with no backtrack. even extremely skilled performers like Lana Del Ray and arguably blackpink use a backtrack at coachella. its also still extremely clear when they are above and below the level of the backtrack and for 80% of it, they are above it.
LeSserafim did prove one thing at Coachella, For a country that have netizens who goes to the extremes to ruin careers of idols that are ACCUSED (not proven) of bullying, they sure do love to bully idols. LeSserafim's singing didn't embarrass Korea, those netizens did and still do.
First week focus more on dance and performance. I like it. Second week focus more on singing. I like it. I always like my girls' performance. So amazing❤❤
I can say only LE SSERAFIM dared to sing live in Coachella with zero backing track in their 1st weak performance. It's clear that other groups who performed there used the same method as LE SSERAFIM's 2nd weak (40% backing track 60% live singing). So no one is better or bad than others here.
Aespa literally sung without backtrack there. LSF still used backtrack in the first week but it was so subtle that their you can hear all their voices. While in 2nd week the mics where all toned down to match the backtrack. Hiding all the imperfections. Pretty normal, thats how idols do it in music shows also. Whats crazy is fans of LSF claiming they sung with no backtrack in 2nd week when its all drown in backtrack.

This. They carried the performance energy-wise both weeks. From all reports people actually at the show enjoyed their sets. Idk how many people criticizing them have actually been to American music festivals….yes, some artists are going to be able to sing wonderfully live. But I hate to break it to everyone, having gone to a lot of (rock music) festivals from 2000-2010, performing live vocals that sound like the album is absolutely not the priority for people there.

Yo estoy de acuerdo con que esta fue una presentación mejor que la anterior semana. El audio pregrabado ayudo de todas formas, y no estoy en contra de que lo utilicen en presentaciones como esta, donde cantan durante más de 40 min. Sin embargo, es muy temprano para decir que probaron a todos que estaban equivocados. Todavía tienen una trayectoria larga como idols, apoyemos a las chicas!
Back track is doing a lot of heavy lifting, but also way better mixing, and better mic volume
I think they were less nervous this time around, and you can clearly see that they modified the choreo so that the member singing has an easier time delivering stable vocals. The backing track is indeed louder on the week 2 performances, but that does not take away from the fact that the vocals were better as well. You can clearly hear vocal moments when the backing track is quieter ranging from good to great. All around smart choices by both their team and the girls themselves. I want to give them props for reacting to the constructive criticism fast and not letting the unnecessary amount of hate get to them, but I also want to recognize the fact that they really do need vocal training and must improve their singing while doing choreography if they want to continue being successful performers.

Last week the backtracks were low so y'all haters hated them for their live vocals and tore down their confidence. This week they toned up their backtrack to sync with their live vocals so now y'all hate them for using loud backtracks. Bcuz Inkigao needs different shots to upload, it was revealed by blackpink and official inkigao channel. But Baemon can actually sing lol. They have proved it multiple times, Pre debut videos, Knowing bros, radio interview. These girls however scream more, sing less. Loud backtracks saved them this week.

Look it's good that they improved and if you look out in other videos many people are appreciating it too but fearnots needs to know one thing that lee seraffim have seriously given so many of chances to people to question their vocal abilities and now even if they improve overnight it will take time to come out of that scandal. They weren't lipsyncing. But that AR is hella loud. Plus, parts of the AR was also cut to back up the "100% live" narrative. I can hear it. Especially on Kazuha's supposed "intentional skip" part. It seemed like they practice when to skip. 'Cause I'm hearing two different sets of voices. The AR and the raw vocals. The raw vocals still sounded not good tho.

I guess Fimmies really did feeling nervous during the performance... You could feel nervousness through their performance despite giving their best through amazing stage presence... I heard there's a Lil delay that time so maybe the audio engineer or something must messed up the audio system that we wouldn't know. The second week, it felt a lot calmer maybe they did minimally their dance and sang it with a lot composure in their voice.
Both stage were amazing... The first week energetic, enjoyable feeling vibe. The second week improvise to make it look like a revenge stage for haters... Hahahah... Just kidding. They might prepared a lot better since they got review badly by netizen.

LE SSERAFIM can sing. If you look up TV shows they did solo you will see them singing really good. Yunjin can even sing some Opera without music. The only problem is a high physical dancing and a detail sound check.

They just turned backtrack on otherwise they would have the same kind of situation as their first Coachella performance. They should have actually turned on that backtrack earlier. It would have helped them a lot to avoid the online criticism. Guess that’s on their management. Overall they were more confident on their second Coachella day and execution of performances was done better. The vocal department still needs improvement as 2 members can’t always carry the group vocally.

Every article I read about the first week said that the whole event was a fight for decent sound quality, and the organizers lost that battle. Now you add Le Sserafim being, what, the 3rd K-pop group and second headliner of Coachella ever? They had every reason in the world to not be stable the first week. I wanna see all the haters band together and try to do what the girls did and see how f*$×in terrible of a performance they put on, if they even had the cajones to get on that stage.

They cannot improve vocally in one week so Hybe made the decision to put the backtrack on highest level and for the people who say that X stopped to sing to prove they are singing live, did you forget that mics can turn on and off depending on the staff behind scenes (for example - Aespa's Karina during mama 2023 - look at how they lip sinc the whole time except when Karina's mic turn on and she scream "What's up mma"). I am proud of them because they were way better than week 1, but still the level is too low and they need to practice. I am sure that they will improve for their next comeback seeing all criticism they have got.

The only criteria for a good concert should be how much the croud DURING REAL TIME enjoys the show. And it's clear from the 2nd week the fans were screaming their lungs out. The fancams show how amazing the energy was. So it's 100% a success. The adjustments payed off.
