Parkinsons PBM Clinical Results [Vielight Neuro Gamma / Irradia MID 2.5]

In 2019, professors from the University of Sydney and Griffith University, Australia embarked on a Parkinson's study with twelve participants diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease. The study included individuals aged 60 to 80, diagnosed with idiopathic Parkinson's Disease by a neurologist.

Administered transcranially with a Vielight Neuro Gamma device, brain photobiomodulation was complemented by applying an Irradia MID 2.5 laser device to the C1/C2 region of the neck and abdomen. The therapy was initially three times a week, reducing to twice per week and eventually once per week through a process called dose down-titration.
Upon completing clinic treatment, participants received devices for home use, continuing self-administration of stimulation three times a week for an additional 40 weeks (Group A) or 25 weeks (Group B). Caregivers closely monitored adherence to the treatment protocol, with participants' experiences and progress reported in the final assessment, emphasizing the crucial role of consistent adherence for optimal photobiomodulation results.
Significant improvements (p 0.05) in mobility, cognition, dynamic balance, and fine motor skills were observed after 12 weeks of photobiomodulation treatment, extending up to one year. Many individual improvements surpassed the clinically important difference threshold, deemed meaningful for participants, and were sustained with home treatment.

How can I participate? I am 62 and was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2014. I am reluctant to try DBS.
