The PlayStation 5 is pretty awesome, though not without its bugs. A first look at the PlayStation 5 console, the DualSense controller, unboxing, gameplay and my first impressions review. Plus we snagged a copy of Spider man, Assassins Creed Valhalla and tried out Astro bot.
We encountered a few bugs when we booted it up which is no surprise for the first iteration of any console really but I tried to get Sony on the phone to see what we can do to fix them. Data transfer not completing? Is your PS5 controller lagging so bad that you can't play your games? This video might be the one for you.

Saturday morning I went to Target to pick up a few items. I was going to head over to GameStop next. But while shopping I noticed that PS5 was on sale for $509.99 for the God of War bundle. After I purchased the PS5 I headed over to GameStop to pick up a few games. I caught a W this weekend.
Nice! What did you end up getting at GameStop? God of war was great, story wise. And there’s even more to do after you beat the game.

That MK11 is pretty good. I’ve been playing those since the ole arcade days. And if your going with a new tv, def go for 4K but I would bother with much past that because even tho ps5 does 8k, I think there is only 1 game that actually supports it so far.
Dude I was able to find it for the same price as the normal ps5
I got the disc version on Black Friday 2022 and still loving it.

Definitely good choices. The spider man games are so clean and god of war, while a little bit slow, is such a good story. Uncharted is just fun haha

Got my PS5 April 15th, God of war Ragnarok edition, and internal+external SSD/hard drive set-up...but I got to assemble my gaming table first... hope you enjoy the PS5!
@Tracy Hanson Ooooh nice. If you're a God of War fan you are going to love the final one. The gameplay is a bit repetitive but the story and acting is way above most games. Also its sad, so yeah. If you post up some videos, let me know! Ill check them out!

Can't wait to get my PS5 later this year. I bought the Resident evil 4 Remake collector's edition, and I'm so excited to play it! Hadn't bought any of the spider-man games yet, but I'm planning to!
@alexbar9512 I just played the RE 4 demo! I do like the remakes capcoms been putting out. The spider man games are amazing (slight pun intended). If you're really into in and have the time, definetly play thee ps4 Spider man and PS5 miles morales back to back. The games have a great pace!

@alexbar9512 Yeah platinum is tough haha. I am not a time trail guy by any means and the screwball missions drove me crazy. Main story line back to back should be fun though!

That’s a pretty solid selection of games! Stray was very unique and easy going and last of us I’m actually thinking about playing again and doing some videos of, it was such a good game but sad

11:25 its not the ps5 but the TV, you have to turn on gaming mode manually on your TV to have no input lag
@goodenough-jf3eb yeah, I was finally able to figure that out no thanks to the customer service line haha. This was both my first ps5 and tv with game mode so it was a good learning experience. Great system tho

I got one already from Amazon last year for 499$ but tax 599$ and I got to tell ya it's great love my console I'm gonna order that game with the cats called Stray??
@christophermattis641 Dang that tax is brutal. Glad to hear the consoles treating you right though!! Stray was good, we played that one a while back. Its def slow paced, kind of like a simulator vibe (the sims, gas station simulator, etc) but set in a cyberpunk world and a good game to throw on just to chill.
Gotta love unboxings. Not got a PS5 yet, but looking to add one to my Series X this year or next if they drop a Slim version at next weeks Playstation showcase.
They have gotta be dropping a slim at some point soon. These models are huge. I imagine it’s going to be like what they did with the ps3. How’s the series x been treating you?

Yeah the Series X has been great for me, some are dissapointed but since ive stopped PC gaming in 2019 its been great to be able to Flight Sim on Xbox. Looking forward to Forza Motorsport. Got the Series X as i gave my PS4 pro to Step daughter as her Original PS4 bit the dust.

The Forza games are pretty great. Im honestly very excited about the new spider man and that metal gear 3 trailer was nuts. So many games on the horizon but who knows what gems we are going to get until then!
is your screw for the stand plastic as mines is the thread is bad now
Mine is the launch version and has the plastic screw. The whole base is kind of wonky and even when it works, it feels a bit hazardous. I’ve seen a few threads online that have good replacement ideas if your screw is stripped or busted though. I keep my ps5 on its side and don’t really move it much anymore.

There are a few aftermarket generic screws in places like Amazon that people have been using. They are metal and come in like 6 packs in case you lose or they get damaged. There are also 3rd party replacement stands (I’ve seen a few mentioned on Reddit) that people have gotten if the screws are just jammed in the stand that it came with. Both seem to have decent reviews for anyone who had issues with the plastic version. And yeah it sounds like Sonys new version comes with a metal screw because of this issue now. I’m sure they’ll have an even better idea in a few years with “ps5 slim” haha
@@SkyTitanMediaGaming I have order a few eBay and Amazon but the screw was too long and stand wobbly maybe I should replace the stand with a third party then it will fit thanks for information.
does a 4K tv 120 fps and hdmi 2.1 make any difference
Here’s my honest opinion. We have a 4K tv upstairs and a 1080 downstairs and when I hook up the ps5 to the 4K there is a small but noticeable difference in the clarity and smoothness of game play BUT I’ve also noticed that when playing downstairs I get very used to “this is how it looks “ very quickly. It looks pretty good on either and unless you really want that little boost of clarity I wouldn’t say it’s a deal breaker. As for the HDMI 2.1 I haven’t tested this myself but have read that it’s the only way to enable VRR (variable refresh rate) and get closer to PC graphics. That said, I’ve never used it and still have a great experience!
@@SkyTitanMediaGaming i have samsung tv 4K 2021 model no hdmi 2.1 or 120 fps, think it displays good over christmas will see so you dont have to upgrade tv for ps5 or xbox series x. happy holidays

@@SkyTitanMediaGaming Sony has replaced the metal screw for stand with plastic one for easier tightening and loosening no need. For a screw driver so reports online said.

Will all ps4 games play on ps5
So far, the majority of ps4 games in disc will play. Sony has a list of like 4000 that are backwards compatible

The only thing I’ve noticed personally is that some older games react weird when you play them on ps5 even if they are digital from the PlayStation store. I was playing Mafia 3 on the ps5 and sometimes cars would start flying or disappear.
Cool thing is that some games give you a free updated copy if you already own the older version!
@@kenthammons4504 that’s true, even some of the ps2 and 3 classics have gotten a little bump in clarity and frame rates it looks like. Sometimes the games bug out when ported over to ps5 but honestly that just adds to the fun sometimes haha
